Hi,
I was tired of searching all over the place trying to solve random wakelocks.
Why not do an open forum and suggest options to solve them.
Please add some suggestion so I can post it here.
I am interested to know your solutions

the "disableservice" app from google play is great
in my case, I installed betterbatterystatus & wakelock detector to find what was causing the wakelocks, then proceeded to fix the issue from there
I use greenify to hibernate "almost" everything on the phone, anything I don't use I freeze with titanium backup, just to be safe (allshare case, group play) among others

I stated the app in the OP
And I have it suggested on my How To Maintain Your Lithium-Ion Battery thread.
I'm wondering how we can effectively limit CPU speed maxing out every time. This is causing high drain.
I use the stock browser for maybe 2-3 hours a day, but I notice this is causing the CPU to hit max speed, even though I've limited it to 1.2GHz.
Assassin ROM 6.0 + Perseus 36.3 for N7100.
I used to use PerApp which could set max and min cpu per app (hence the name) but it does not seem to be working anymore.

I would assume that there's way more going on than just cpu throttling, the amount of active cores will be dynamic in relation to the current workload. Simply limiting the cpu at, say 800, would probably cause more cores to kick in and as such cause even more battery consumption. These things are very complex and also governor issues.

You should always consider these stats in relation to your total uptime. If that is say 12 hours, a total wakelock time of 22m is nothing, and completely normal.
Wakelocks are also an important feature of android to make some apps and functions work properly. It is only when the total wakelock time is huge compared to uptime that you should worry.

I'll add something constructive here too:
Sometimes you will see a power manager wakelock which can't be traced. There's a big chance that this is caused by a network issue, wifi or data connection. If for example your wifi keeps reconnecting in a loop or has a very poor signal, it's likely that it will manifest itself as a power manager wakelock for several hours.

What kernel do you guys recommend for Nexus 6P 7.1.1 with Pixel mod I need something that gives a battery boost without Sacrificing on performance
A suggestion(what works for me)
I'm not sure about the "best", but what I'm using with nice results is the interactive profile ghostpepper with touch boost turned off and MSM hotplugging turned on. There's a few ways to go about; I'm using the ex kernel setting app to set profile, etc at boot. Battery life has been nice with the right balance between battery & performance. Also their is some thermal cfg mods that I find help also. You can find all of the above info right here on XDA. I hope this might be of some assistance and may the good Lord bless.

what does msn hotplugging do exactly?
i like ghostpepper profile, but i prefer heimdal (gives me better battery life!)
btw. i dont even see touchboost option in my elemental app, i think it could be , because of the kernel i use disables it completely.
i use Flash kernel.

Hi, sorry for the delay in responding. The toochboost option is under CPU/cpu_boost/Input_boost; I disable,set-on-boot. I'm using flash also. Hotplugging allows your cores to turn on and offline when not needed saving you battery.

no biggie, but i dont see touchboost under CPU/CPU BOOST.
i only see Input Boost enabled (should i disable this? but this is not touchboost.)
and about hotplugging, is it safe to enable it ? or do you mean that i should be enabling this "Hot plug: msm_hotplug." ?
and btw. under Miscellaneous , should i enable all the wakelock options , as this will also improve battery life ?

Yes sir, that is correct to the best of my knowledge, (input_boost=touch_boost). On the wakelocks I leave mine set default; you can look or Google any one to find out what each one is.

damn i did not know , thanks man ! :highfive:
but look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69421065&postcount=5467
the good member is pointing out what to enable etc. (for profiles to take effect)
and he says to turn input boost options on (depending on whether your profile uses them or not)
and also that no profile really uses touchboost, i think i dont see touchboost because either the rom/kernel i use disables it by default.
Right- touchboost won't show up if your kernel doesn't support it. It's different from input boost. Most kernel profiles use input boost, but not touchboost. And many kernels don't support touchboost. I don't remember the explanation, but touchboost isn't used much.
how do you enable msm_hotplug in ex kernel app?

You can leave it on but if your looking to save battery, this needs to be off, as described in the Flash kernel (6p) thread & the thread describing interactive governer, profiles, and how to tweak the interactive governer for the best battery. This is a nice post, so check it out if you haven't already.

what kernel are you using? elementalx doesnt support hotplugging, you have to have some kernel that supports it, like the flash kernel. after that just go to cpu tab and it appears after the cpu frequencies configuration

But its behavior on your device isn't normal. This wakelock should run for a couple of seconds, not +20min.

UID is a unique identifier to the user of each process. In your case, BBStats is not able to identify (link to) the responsible process of this activity.

Hi, are these APPs download from the third party or not? If you download many APP, there is no doubt such APP would cost your phone's battery. Also you can choose the better battery usage in the settings. It can be helpful if you choose the right battery save modes.

I think its related to android battery optimization... Because I use Greenify recently, and before I use Greenify have this problem too.
