Seems like this is happening to a lot of people

Yeah....I googled it and it happened to quite a few people....there's a fix but that does no good if you don't know about the issue

Bummer, it's been happening the last few days...

I got this message this morning and when I clicked on it nothing happened and it went away. Is t-mo trying to send me the update, and will the update come back?

reboot and try again
I rebooted but nothing happened...
I also had sort of same thing happen when i just rebooted.
Had notification that said something like " Connecting to DM server..." but then it went away after about 3 minutes.
Never seen that notification before
EDIT: It's doing it again just now , just popped up that notification.... odd....
Actually thats what mine said. I so excited that it might be the update I kept clicking it till it was gone and didn't read.
Well guess what I JUST got... The OTA Update....
I'd say just do what I did, let it do its thing. Obviously it was checking and sending me the OTA!
Tho with all the problems i heard bout the OTA install, I'm nervous to start it lol
I'm still waiting but I hope get the update like you did.
Maybe do another reboot or 2, force it to check in.
I'm still holding off on it. Don't want to brick it. Tho I am totally stock, just have root.
Well the update bricked my phone!!!!!!!!!! GRRR
Replacement on the way in mail and got a loaner POS NOKIA phone till it comes
Man that sucks to hear that it bricked. I got mine somewhere between 2-3 am pacific time. I wasn't sure what it was, for I was woken up, heard all bad things with update, hit button fell back asleep. Seems ok so far though
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
were you rooted and was lagfix appled?
I had that message this morning. Rebooted and nothing. Now, for some reason it has the little Sim Card icon in the task bar and I can't make calls or connect to the network. I have no idea what to do. I'm completely stock.
I'm rooted with the "one click lag fix"
NM, found my answer!

Is anyone having problems with MobileAP?

Last night, it error'd out on "Connecting Packet Service...." however, a simple reboot fixed the problem. Today, its been doing that all day long and no amount of reboots are helping. MobileAP was were fine before.. anyone else having problems?
Same here...
I had the same problem yesterday (Feb 15) and this morning. I rebooted the phone and it's working now... I wonder if T-Mo was doing something on their end... I'd suggest trying a reboot again...

[Q] Random reboot followed by spam - coincidence?

Hi guys,
Recently the owner of a Nexus 4, on 4.2.2 and stock, non rooted rom. Everything has been going fine until this evening when my phone was asleep and suddenly it rebooted by itself and got stuck at the Nexus logo. I rebooted it manually and same again. Another reboot later and all was fine again, but funnily enough I received a text from "FREEMSG" with links to rubbish, quite clearly a scam.
I've never ever received anything from this number before nor have I signed up for anything recently and I think it's purely coincidence it happened when the Nexus randomly rebooted but just wondered what you guys thought? No chance of a virus or anything like that? I believe a few others have been experiencing random reboots? It's made me a little nervous as I'm always so careful with this kinda stuff.

I think its just random. Unless you've installed some virus, I suppose if you had a virus the message would be a notification, not a text message.
Wait and see if there's any more text messages sent, I would say its just random, so no need to worry.
Cheers

Thanks, much appreciated. I've only installed apps from the market and most of them are well known ones such as Red Laser, Angry Birds. Maybe I'm just a bit paranoid...

[Q] Reboot

Morning,
I had my phone with me at my computer table and noticed it just started to reset its self, I didn't notice that it was doing any up dates.
Has anyone experienced this?? Does it mean its faulty?? or just something random??
Cheers

This morning I received a 2nd update from Samsung, but the unexpected reboots became even worse. 1st I had 3 or 4 a day now already 4 this morning! Even during a phone call
Last night I tried do change the setting from another tread by turning off the "wifi scan for apps" but with the new update I can not check if that would have helped.
Normally I would go on and root the device etc, but now I wait because I don want to have the discussion at the retailer about tampering etc.
So YES a lot of Note 3 owners have this problem I guess.

[Q] Unusual activity

I called my brother last night on this device and first it took some time to connect the call, but when it finally did, I got this weird breathing/grunting sound on the other end. I was really freaking out but what's even more strange is it saved to my brother's voicemail!

Nope, this happened to me before. It is actually pretty common. Just Google it.
