I just bought my Nexus 6p from Best buy. I took it into a sprint store today and they installed a Sim. I am currently connected to the network I can make calls and send texts but I'm not receiving them. I am using the stock messenger app. I have tried switching the default to hangouts but I still can't receive texts. If anyone can please help it would be greatly appreciated. Sprint tech support said to return it and buy a Sprint phone they are so helpful I know someone here can do better.
Solved
I managed to fix the issue it was because of the Google voice integration. I disabled it from the browser now it works.
My LG V20 has some issues on 4G, it connect to Google and WhatAapp while on 4G.
When using WiFi:
No problems
When using 4G:
-cannot connect to Google
-most of the time cannot receive and send messages on WhatsApp
-sometimes can receive but not send
Anyone else has this issue or knowing how to solve it?
I have noticed this on 4G as well, every once in a while. not sure what its about. Mine is a H990DS , dual sim variant. maybe a software update will fix it. Come to think of it, i think after the latest update i got a few days ago it hasnt happened.
Had the same issue with some apps in the past.
They seemed to fix on there own or had app updates issued which fixed them.
Go to Google play and see if there are updates
I have the same issue as well. Please update me if there is a solution to it.
I've used Google Voice for 7+ years, with every Android I've ever owned and every ROM I've ever flashed....Even the locked down Samsung S10+ I just replaced with this Pixel, had no issues.
I cannot get Google Voice to work? I try the same code I always use, and I get an error... I've tried forwarding my calls to the GV number, but it tells me this service is not available?
I've re-set up my GV and have uninstalled/reinstalled several times.
I discovered that there are several posts across the internet that have the same issue, but no resolve.
Has anyone gotten this to work?
Hello all,
I received my OP8P device and i'm using it in Qatar.
I activated also the 5G, it didn't work yet but suddenly i got a bigger problem which is all the incoming/outcoming calls are restricted by access control.
I registered a complaint through the network provider (ooredoo) but they didn't contact me yet.
Tried also to use a non-activated 5G sim, and calls worked normally.
I assume the problem is related to 5G, anyone faced something like that?
hi whats thenews with this? did you fix this?
Hi your absolutely right seems it's from the 5g, I also had the same exact issue after activating 5g, I will also contact ooredoo. Please advice if ooredoo fixed your issue as I see the post is 10days old.
And I have a similar problem with 5G, too, did not dare. I wonder who got out of this situation.
I have the OnePlus 7T Pro Mclaren 5G, on tmobile with the latest OTA firmware 10.0.40.HD61CB. It drops my calls, sometimes won't even allow me to make calls, sometimes data does not work. When connected to wifi wifi calling and texting works. I called OnePlus, and they blame tmobile. I contacted tmobile and they don't seem to know anything or care. I have 2 automatically generated bug reports. My phone alerted me there's a bug and it generated a bug report. I am not sure if these are related to the problem. But I would appreciate help, I do not know how to interpret these reports.
I have rebooted, cleared cache, reset network settings. Tried adding an APN from the tmobile support page. turned 5g on and off. Nothing made a difference.

I'm running into the same issues you're having. I thought it was my phone only, so you'tr not alone in this. I did noticed that the issue started after the Oct. security patch 10.0.40HD61CB, my sms would sometime come in late or gets stuck on data or wi-fi , my call would suddenly drop or doesn't even connect at times. I'm on the same boat friend, until our voice is heard through Tmobile with enough complaint and hopefully they can fix this bug. Hopefully somebody have already figured out the solution and maybe shed some light.
If you run lineage or the other aosp rom the problem goes away. I was having the same issues as well. Missing calls unable to send texts or receive them sometimes.

This. I was getting super frustrated by not being able to use my phone as an actual phone. I have Ting Mobile which uses TMo, and I was having the same issues. I was on the Stock Rom and ever since switching to the Illusion Rom, I haven't experienced those issues anymore. It sucks that we have to do that. Imagine being non-technical and oblivious. I'd be so pissed after buying this phone. I think this is a OnePlus issue and not a carrier issue.
