VPN and Android 11 Fix - OnePlus 8 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello everyone. Having an issue with extremely slow vpn speed ( less than 1mbps) on expressvpn after moving to the stable android 11 update. Does anyone have a fix for it? Tired of getting throttled by tmobile to less than 2mbps when I'm watching twitch. Only thing done to the phone is root w/ magisk v21, xXx module on and newest omega kernel (10-10-2020). Everything else is working fine.
Edit: for anyone having this issue. I found a temporary fix. With VPN turned on, enabling and disabling airplane mode fixes the issue temporarily. Looks like it lasts a couple to a few days. After a few days the download and upload speed go back to less than 1mbps.

Wi-Fi Unreliable...

So, I've been noticing my phone has been going through a lot more battery recently and part of the reason I believe is due to my Wi-Fi disconnecting and not re-connecting at times. Even if I reenter the password it still won't connect at times. I am forced to turn the antenna completely OFF and then ON again to get it working at times.
I have installed Fresh 0.53 since rooting and haven't noticed any issues with it until recently. The only other thing I have done is tried out different Kernels from ffolkes. Right now I am running the undervolted version os his kernel. Could that have something to do with it or is it unrelated to the Wi-Fi?!
BTW, I have been running the latest versions of the radio and WiMax.
no troubles here when i run flipz or any other rom on wifi
im running baked snacks and get GREAT GREAT battery life
My WiFi is pretty unreliable as well. Im running stock OTA update that was supposed to turn on N. I still get terrible WiFi reception even when very close to router. I get a lot of hang-ups as well when browsing and usually have to refresh a website 5-6 times till it finally kicks in. Either I have a terrible router, or my EVO still has really bad WiFi.

WIFI LATENCY ISSUE After the B08L update

Has any one noticed the latency of the WiFi radio after the update,
i sent back my first 6P because i figured it was a bad radio.
Negative it was the update
Test for it by doing this:
Launch play store with with the Cell Radio turned off, and watch the load time on the icons for everything, under NORMAL operation they should be bullet fast and when you scroll to unloaded apps it should "almost instantly propagate"
IF it takes more than 2 seconds obviously you are having the problem as well.
Try this in reverse with the Cell on and WIFI off. On cell it will be bullet fast
I dont know why no one has found this bug yet
I think they M build fixes something with wifi but don't hold me to that 100% I remember reading it somewhere if I remember correctly.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
NOPE still sluggish.
bet you 5 bucks you extract the radios from 89d and it works like a mutha fuhhuhhh

I don't notice any latency with the Play Store, it loads in a couple of seconds, and I have a pretty slow internet connection. I experience some pretty bad issues with Chrome though, it won't load pages at all sometimes, I mainly experience this on XDA (in saying that though my Chrome usage is 99% XDA).
Still Latent as all hell, i counted a good 20 seconds before it started to download the speedtest.net app. this is really starting to piss me off
Mine doesn't seem to have any latency but my WiFi DL speeds sit around 170-200mbs with my AC5300 router. I don't have any issues on slower networks either running the M build.
im going to flash the first factory image and see if that does it
ill report back
I had this issue and it was super frustrating. The Play Store wouldn't even load unless I switched it to LTE.
Turns out 6.0.1 fixes it!

Flashed stock based rom from jrkruse and it wont remember WiFi pass

I flashed the V9 from from jrkruse To my Straight talk S5 (SM-S902L) and everything seems to work, some apps stutter really bad but overall it's ok. But i noticed every time i disable wifi and re-enable it the phone asks for wifi password again. And the phone feels overall sluggish sometimes. Any way i can solve these two problems? The reason i want to keep it is because the battery life is amazing. in standby i get 4+ days and a solid 12 hours of heavy use. If i could solve the random stuttering and password glitch it would be perfect.

WiFi/Data throttling or weak?

Hey all,
This is my first official post despite being a member here for some years and it comes with the unfortunate issue I am experiencing with my PH-1.
I've noticed as I'm using my browser or social apps recently that there is huge lag where images or even text won't load, and I figured maybe it was the wifi. I would then use my LTE connection, and I would still have the same issue. I then tested the down/up rate using speedtest and I can literally see the data staggering and not getting the full down/up rate it should like it's struggling. I still have my other phone (leeco pro 3) on the same wifi running the same test at the same time, and it's fine.
Just wondering if anyone else has this issue and if there's a fix? (Also I have the same apps and setup as my other phone but I'm trying to pinpoint if it's something running that's causing it.)
Oh, also I'm on stock with latest update NMJ32F

Weird intermittent WIFI ping issue...

So I've managed to fix up my V20 (918-tmobile) after losing my Pixel 3, got everything up and running...rooted, installed the Oreo 20g stock rom (rooted) and the oreo mk2000 kernel, heat throttling fix...everything is working great, the phone is zippy and responsive. Here's where things get weird; I play a good deal of PUBG mobile (which the phone runs surprisingly well)...Most matches my ping is around 20-40ms, very stable...then out of nowhere, I'll load into a match (whether quick match or classic mode, US or Europe server, doesn't matter) and my ping will be insanely high....around 700-900ms. The only fix I've found is to hide and (while praying no one finds me) reboot the phone, reload the game and reenter the match...which completely solves the issue, my ping goes back to normal. Now if I just exit the game and don't reboot the phone, the ping stays at 700-900ms. I've tried it on several different wifi networks, and I had the issue happen regardless. Something worth noting is that it never happens during a match; it always happens right at the begining...As in, if I load in to a match and see that my ping is normal, it stays normal for that entire match.
So my question is, where do I start? I reinstalled the game completely, that didn't fix it. Would I want to reflash the kernel, or try a different one? Could it be the rom?
I sincerely appreciate any guidance you guys could give me!
