I used to have the automatic call recording enabled in my GNII via modified SecPhone.apk, now upgraded to GNIII N9005 and have Wanam installed, I can enable the record call button. but it must be clicked manually everytime. no option to have it working auto.
I searched a lot, but I couldn't find SecPhone.apk for Note3 with auto call rec. So hopefully someone can do this and share it with everyone here.
Thanks.

Is the quality of incall recorder better than the built in recorder ?
try totallrecall but it's costs

Total recall 2 for S4 Best suitable one for note 3
Best sound.
Best management.
Best handling.
So many options.
Sorting by date folders.
Inside folder sorting again by names.
And auto sending to cloud with delete from phone to keep your phone clean.
And much. Much more and more.
Its costly but worth more than its price.

Wanam will hopefully sort this out in the next couple of weeks!
Hi, I too had the automatic call-recording on my Note 2. For my line of work its very crucial that i have call-recording. And although i do have it via WanamXposed, i have to click the button each time ... I use the S-View cover so if someone calls i have to open the flap and than answer the call and hit the button and quickly close the flap and talk. In the past on my S3, i have tried those Call-Recorder apps from the Play Store. None of them worked for me.If someone can please figure out a built in solution for this problem i would really appreciate it!
Just use exposed module and wanam xposed and xposed installer youll have does mods after you download the approriate modules

When i rooted my Note 3, the first few root apps i installed were Wanam Xposed / Xposed Installer / Multi DPI Module. Using Wanam Xposed I got Call recording working perfectly fine. The issue is that we need "Automatic" Call recording. Right now the call recording i have, when i call / or a call comes in i have to manually hit the record button to record the call. With Automatic Call Recording, it automatically records all incoming / outgoing calls.
If you know of an Xposed module that has this feature please let me know which one! Thanks!
in a few words try acr call recorder and just say thanks............even though (call recorder+bluetooth ear phone) ........acr call recorder do it and records call with great sounds yes....my device is n9005
I'm using Automatic Call Recorder (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.globaleffect.callrecord)... it's working really fine on my S3 and Note 3.

I really do not know... my device is not rooted (and I don't plan to root it) so I never used this Xposed module on my Note 3.
I supposed it will be fine if you leave everything as is unless you decide to use both at the same time.

THANK YOU! I was hesitant to try it, but i downloaded the app, tweaked some settings and bam! Automatic Call Recording! Thank you very much again.
To anyone else looking for this same solution:
1. Download & Install ACR (Automatic Call Recording) : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.globaleffect.callrecord
2. Run app, choose download folder in which you want all recordings saved.
3. Choose format for the call recording to be saved: For me the "3GP" Format worked perfectly. (MP3, MP4 kept giving me errors)
4. For me the "Audio Source" that works is: "Voice_Call(*)"
5. If you have "Voice Control" Enabled on your Note 3. (The setting that allows you to answer incoming calls by saying "Answer" or "Decline" - Available in the device settings.) TURN THIS OFF! Or all your incoming calls will not be recorded! You don't have to turn "Voice Control" off completely, just turn off the one that allows you to answer incoming calls ONLY.
Also, I had gotten non-automatic call recording on my Note 3's (SM-N900W8 [Rogers]) stock rom via WanamXposed. When i installed this app, I did NOT turn the Wanam Call Recording off. I just left it as-is (enabled, the "Record" button is still there). Thats it!
Thanks again to hasan_abeer & zadigre for recommending this app!!!
There is another app called Call Recorder which you can find a trial copy at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441643.
The recording quality is clear and records both caller and recipient voice. Most importantly, it records automatically when a call is made or receives. It stops recording when a call is disconnected.
The file size of the recording of a call is also quite small. This could be some audio compression techniques the app uses.
Give it a try..
Sent from my SM-N9005 using xda app-developers app
I have downloaded atleast half a dozen of apps from the app store.. for call recording, none of them seem to work.
Each time it records a call, when playing them it says "file duration is 00:00:00 check if "Phoneline" was selected as recording audio source on settings screen" i tried changing the default line to microphone, still doesnt work, and keeps showing the same error.
Is recording disabled in Note 3? or will i need Wanam Xposed? My Note 3 is rooted, but i havent installed Wanam Xposed.

Fantastic this did it for me. I downloaded almost every call recording app from the playstore, dont know how i missed out this one.
But after reviewing your post i planned to give it a try.. and viola it worked. I dont think i need Wanam for AUtomatic call recording, cos this does it for me.
Thanks so much to the member who recommended this, and to you for the steps.

Sorry, are you saying that after doing this procedure, the Wanam call recording option becomes automatic?
Or are you saying that you have got 'ACR' to do the automatic call recording ?
You there dude?
Anyone tried any call recording software yet?
Are you root/non root?
Which app do you use?
Does it record the audio stream or just what the microphone picks up from the speaker?
I use ACR - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.acr
It works perfectly fine to record both sides of the conversation.
The incoming audio is a little on the softer side but still very audible
I paid for the licensed version as well.
What config do you use???

Just add ACR to your unmonitored apps under battery so that Doze does not kill the app

1. The programmer communicates with you if you have a problem. I've written him over XDA a couple of times, and he has always helped me.
2. If the app does not support the mobile phone (new models on the market), just write to him and he looks at it right away.
3. Regular updates.
4. Many options for recording such as formats, filters etc.
5. When you start the app for the first time, the application will set itself the most suitable settings for that mobile.
6. You don't need to have root.
Look, I tried many apps, but Call Recorder is the first choice for me.

Most possibly, you enabled the OK Google app in your phone. OK Google is occupying the microphone, it is continuously picking up sound from the microphone to recognize your "voice command", and this blocks Boldbeast working. Please disable the "Settings > Google > Search > Voice > OK Google detection > From any screen" option in your phone, then it works at once.
About the "can not record any call" problem, actually there are 7 possible reasons, have a look at the [001] part in this page: http://www.boldbeast.com/android/call_recorder_troubleshooting.html
Test again, it 100% works.
Used to use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorder&hl=en
It quit working on my Galaxy S8.
I tried using Boldbeast as some people stated here but it didn't even record. No recordings where found.
I am using ACR as also indicated on here and it seems to be working for the moment.
I am using the AT&T Galaxy S8. do I have the one that doesn't support call recording? I was reasding on other forums and people are saying some S8s are blocked from recording calls.

Samsung Android 7 or Samsung S7 Android 6?
The Android Oreo update has impacted recording on some Samsung S8 and 8+ and all S9's. I've been a paid user of ACR for a year now and it's awesome, but even they are scratching their heads about this b/c it's impacting everyone.
Native call recording is the best, and free. But need root.

Automatic Call Recorder works without any issues. Make sure Settings -> Running -> has Ignore battery optimizations and Run in the background checked.
I've used for about 6 months play store "call recorder" (from appliquato) on nougat. Since I've changed to oreo, haven't tested.

Yes, I have no issues with this app and everything gets recorded with no problem.
I'm using Call Recorder from F-Droid. You can choose the quality and format of the recording and some other settings. I have never tried other call recording apps so I don't know how good it actually is compared to the others.
Use boldbeast or total recall.
Use alsa source(root) if boldbeast, else install root patch(that probably modifies system partition) in total recall.
You'll get Cristal clear recording using any of those 2 app. Hit thanks after installing n verifying.

don't quote me on this but i have been reading on call recording on Q and apparently google has literally blocked all access to recording apps when on a phone call. i don't honestly know how much there is to that as they claimed they did the same on pie supposedly. you can try it i guess. if it works let us know otherwise goodluck.
maybe someone else has something working and can let us know.
I can confirm Joneplus tools works if you follow the steps. Works unrooted also.

Hello to everyone,
I hope someone could help me, i need to record any phone call that i make/receive, the phone should record the call without messages to the caller about the phone call is recorded.
Did someone can tell me how can i do this? i have seen that one option is to root the device but if someone have other suggestion is better for me than root the device.
I have also tried this app: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...cord-phone-calls-from-the-phone-line.1441643/ but use the microphone so sometimes there are very noise.

Yes. I am in the same situation. The only things I can think of are, 1. A call recorder app. or, 2. Using a different dialer, say from a Oneplus phone. But I'm still looking into it. I have been using a call recorder app that seems to work somewhat okay but not that great.
I Hope Simeone could help US..
I have also seen that changing the phone app Is not the solution because some apps uses CSC

That's good to know because I was going to try it. The thing is, depending on what version you have, call recording is built in. So that tells me that all variants could have it built in maybe ? Not sure but I am continuing to do research when I have the time.

Not really. I do have two apps installed that are recording calls pretty good ! One of them I installed from Google play called Call recorder. And the other one is one that I came across in one of the posts for the Nothing phone. I have both running at the same time and both are recording calls pretty good. However, I would rather have the inbuilt option.
I'm from Italy and have Nothing Phone for a couple of weeks now so I may be missing something.
I've tried ACR, a well thought app for call recording, but unfortunately it doesn't record bluetooth calls (earphone or car's) so as a couple of other apps. I guess it's a problem that every third party app is having, given Google policy.
So, I'm using the Google phone app call recording utility (upper right corder three dots > settings > call recording). This option has popped out the first time I put in the sim card. I suppose everyone can access this option but with Google you never know...
This makes available a button on the phone screen, a switch between call recording and not recording. Actually, it's only manageable when the call is started and it's available switching in the second screen of the app.
Overall it works pretty well, even on Bluetooth calls. The calls are accessible via the call log history and can de saved. The only drawdown is that you have to put a meaningful name to the file when saving it.
What drives me CRAZY is that it doesn't have the option to ALWAYS record the calls. Apparently, it's an available option (Google has a help page dedicated: https://support.google.com/phoneapp/answer/9803950?hl=en) but not for the Italian version. Or at least for my version
Does anyone know if and how I can make it a permanent choice? I don't want to manually switch it every time...
Any help is very appreciated
