Weather effect on home screen

I just installed new official 6.5 rom so I will see how it goes on my TD2.
My question is: how do you activate that weather effect on whole screen, rain drops, clouds etc.?
It show 2-3 times at my home screen, don't know what I pressed, but is there any way to get that effect when I like? (so I can make fun with my iPhone friends ). Seriously, is there how to activate it?
It go automatic after weather update tab for home city...
No, it still doesn't work for me.
It showed 2-3 times when I installed new ROM, but since then I cannot see that effect, no matter if I update weather forecast.

tap on the programmlist on the taskbar and close it
If you hit the windows button, and afterwards the back button you'll get the animation for the current weather condition.
cheers
It also runs the animation if you hold the "Home" button when on the Home Tab to lock the screen and then unlock.
For some reason it only works with the default wallpaper though.
Niall
I was going nuts when trying to get the damned effects _off_ and custom wallpaper did the trick!
Yes, I tried everything, close it, windows/back, it didn't work.
I works ONLY with default wall paper!!
Damn, I just installed wallpaper changer
Guess that this is bug then or not

[TiP] I9001 Stock issues workarounds

A lot of users are facing this problems:
divibyzero said:
Biggest TW4 bug that drove me crazy in XXKQE was that apps and icos sorted spontaneously every time i rebooted phone, and even sometimes when phone was running. Additionaly icons in dock bar used to return to defaults (I change stock messaging app to other one) very often. And lockscreen wallpaper couldn't be set to "none". That's all I've noticed

and i wanted to share my workarounds:
if you have better ideeas post here please.
You can workaround both issues:
1) For TW4 find the apk under settings select it and delete data. all icons form app will be sorted alfabetical and desktop apps will be set to the default ones. Then set desktop as you wish and reboot to recovery and fix permisions. The apps will be saved at this.
2)For no lock screen wallpaper select no wallpaper from display setting then boot to recovery and fix permisions.
Remeber:
You must repeat (1) for TW4 for every new app you install and every new app shortcut to desktop you make.
You must repeat (2) for every time you set a lockscreen wallpaper and then you want to select no wallpaper again.
Best of luck
Many people might already know that, but regarding the apps getting sorted there is an app called appzorter. It sorts the apps for you. Either by name or by installation date.

instead of trying to set the wallpaper through lockscreen setting go directly to the image you want and set it through there. probably will not work but it did once for me.

Wish I knew about this last night. Couldn't figure out how to fix it and ended up doing a factory reset. ?
Go to app. List in settings - All apps - search for Lockscreen - wipe cache, data and stop the app service...
Change the lockscreen wallpaper once again...
Worked for me..!!! ;-D

Theme resetting to default

Hi, I've noticed an odd issue where the theme resets to default after a while. I feel like the whole launcher and system UI restarts?
It's a really annoying issue. Not unlocked and not rooted.

No it happens regardless of the theme selected. Even on default theme + different wallpaper, it happens. And resets itself to default wallpaper.
So this doesn't happen to anyone else then?

It hasn't happened to me. I use default theme with different wallpaper both on lock screen and home screen. It's fine.
I found the issue myself. I had a custom font installed. This caused the theme to be reverted. Once I came back to the default font, I can change the other settings as I please.
Thanks to everyone for the help.
Same happened to me. I try to use third party themes using different theme editor (ex. Mi Rape, MIUI Theme Editor, My Themer, etc. ..). It works actually and third party theme is applied. However, after a while, it reverts back to default theme.
Any advise how can this be fixed?

THIS IS THE SOLUTION
1. Open the theme app and select the default theme.
2. Look at the bottom of the screen and UNCHECK Lock screen, Favorite tray, and Icons options leaving only the General option.
3. Then Select Apply
4. Go back and select the theme you actually want.
5. CHECK the Lock screen, Favorite tray, and Icon options
6. Select Apply
7. Theme is now applied and will not revert to the old theme.
NOTE: This condition of reverting to the default theme developed after changing font on Redmi note 8
Hi, thank you.
But is there a solution that I can change the General option, because I want the costum Notification Bar?
Hi everyone.
I'm still not solved this issue that whole launcher and system UI restarts and resets itself to default lock screen.
I only changed to custom font in the Option->Theme->font at the Resion/India after load the font using the app called "MIUI custom font Installer"
Is there any other solution besides rooting?
Unlocked and not rooted. MIUI Global version 11.0.9

I was experiencing this issue a while ago. But I might've kinda fixed it because it's been 6 hours and my theme isn't resetting.
What I did was applying the stock font (roboto), then apply any theme that I download from theme store and check all the options (lockscreen, icons, system, etc), and reboot. After that I change my font back to what I was using before.
I'm in miui 12.0.3.0 and I'm using Mi 9T.

I think it's because of your unsupported font. This happens even with unsupported emoji set(bitmap font).

Camera resets my wallpaper to default

Yes, as weird as it sounds. I'm on stock oreo (but I've always had this problem, even on stock nougat) and sometimes when I use the camera my wallpaper is reset to default afterwards, it's really annoying because It happens like 1/3 of the times and I have to keep setting my wallpaper. I couldnt find any information about this problem so I don't know where to start, I've tried with other camera apps and with some of them it happens less often, maybe it has something to do with ram usage (I have the 2GB version) . Any help is appreciated.
Here's a video showing the problem:

It due to wallpaper app has stopped working, maybe due to ram management or as the app in external storage.

Yeah but isn't the wallpaper setting saved somewhere? That way if the app stops working it just looks at that setting and keeps the wallpaper that I set when It starts working again. Maybe the solution would be using a different wallpaper app that properly manages that.

You can try using the system wallpaper app to keep working the wallpaper, just take a screenshot of your wallpaper and the use the system app and save it.

I was using the system wallpaper app but I was using that feature that sets a random wallpaper every day. I have set a fixed wallpaper now and I haven't got any problems so far. I guess it was just that feature that didn't work properly when the app force-closed due to ram usage.
