Solution 1
Xiaomi.eu Weekly Flash stabilizer MIUI 12 for Mi Max 3 (without root) then you can remove Disney plus Netflix and Co as normal from the Playstore and start. I've been doing this for months.
To delete various true apps, I then win the XiaomiADBFastbootTools.jar
2.Power - Download the APKpure app from the Playstore and then protect the app, listen to it and work.
But I would only as an absolute emergency solution, because you never know, you were so everything else on your phone.

I'm trying to build a phone that has no Google hooks in it at all. No tracking, no storing of my data, etc...
I've taken my old Nexus 4, installed the TeamWin recovery tool, and got it setup with LineageOS "Mako" 14.(whatever was the latest available last night). My phone "should be" rooted, I installed the "superuser mode" called out at the end of the LineageOS install instructions... but I'm not sure how to test that to find out.
No issues with install or use. Seems to work well so far.
However, what is the best way to get apps installed on the phone, now? I've found a few available via .apk download, but it seems I have to download the .apk file to my PC and then adb push it across. The native web browser and Firefox both seem to choke on the download link... and most apps don't seem available this way.
Amazon's app store sucks so bad it doesn't even have Amazon's Shopping app for phones (just for tablets).
I've found a few third-party type app stores (APKpure, being one), but I have no idea if they are trustworthy, and the apps all seem several versions behind Google's app store. Also, they don't seem to support paid apps, so you can't buy the Pro features of apps you like.
Any advice? Thanks in advance!

I suspect the reason why you can't find paid apps on these stores is because most devs rely on the play store's license verification mechanisms to manage these transactions. If that's what you want, you'll have to give in to Big Brother. Well, Big Brother Google anyway, since I guess you have no problem with Big Brother Amazon except for its poor app selection. F-Droid probably has the best reputation among alternative app stores but again, you'll only find free versions there.
I'm not sure why you're having trouble downloading apks directly to your phone. I do it with Firefox all the time. Make sure your browser app has permission to access your phone's storage.
As for how to test root access, download a root checker app. You'll find them in pretty much any store or app source you decide to use.

F-Droid
F-Droid for open source apps and than Yalp-Store for "standard" apps. Using MicroG LineageOS 14.1 on a Moto Z Play.

Using F-Droid and Yalp Store on my LG G6 running LineageOS 14.1 microG without problems. You can use Aurora Store too (Yalp Store fork with Material UI).
I am on an Amazon Fire Table 7 (5th Generation) I thought I would try out Yalp Store since I have no Google apps on the device, I use YouTube Vanced etc. Anyways I downloaded Yalp store and chose the option to show system apps, it let me reset all the huge apps to the factory version freeing up a whole gig of storage. I only have the 8 gig and only had 2.4 left with just my primary apps installed. It also gave me about 40-50 free RAM which is a big deal to me on this little device.
This is the only way I have found to do this with this tablet as there is no option to disable the apps. The apps I reset were Appstore, amazon video, Alexa, home pages, kindle app I believe, and a few others. All the ones it would let me and I NEVER EVER use any of them. It is amazing how huge those useless apps were, now I just wait and see if they will ever try to automatically update again. I have appstore updates turned off and I never registered the device as I use it as a secondary. (thank God) I thought I would share. It doesn't disable the app but it gives you back all the precious forced storage it took.
AppMgr III also does the same job.
I have been using this cool gadget for several days. I wanted to check how I was sleeping, my heart rate and oxygen saturation. The latter option is usually not available on similar class devices.
To be able to use the band on phones from other manufacturers, you should install THREE gigantic and probably too many applications that want to know about us:
- App store, such a Huawei store (but you can skip this app)
- Huawei Mobile Services (so-called HMS Core) currently version 4.0.3.316, 130 MB!
www.******************/download-the-latest-hms-core-apk
https://appstore.huawei.com/app/C10132067
from this last address you cannot download / install even after logging in! It is possible to download via Ass store, thus it is another coercion
- Huawei Health, currently version 10.0.5.521, 95 MB!
https://appgallery7.huawei.com/#/app/C10414141
Also, you can't download without a store!
and above all set up an account on Huawei servers.
The above files can be downloaded from Chinese Huawei websites, but oddly enough they are in slightly older versions ...
I've done all the steps, but I prefer light, open and privacy-friendly software from the F-doid store.
I would like to ask if anyone of you successfully combined this band with a smart phone other than Huawei and using a different type of health application? I tried to detect it in Redmi 4x through much lighter and "theoretical" apps specific to my device:
mi.health_1.2.5-10205.com (no installation possible, crashes)
mi.health_2.1.1-20101.com (no installation possible, spills out)
xiaomi.hm.health_4.0.17-50274.com (installed, appears in the store as Mi Fit)
but unfortunately failed to connect.

Thanks and btw I returned my honor band to get mi band 5.
Hi guys, could you suggest good, free and no-ads camera app for Fire HD 8 (2020) kids edition? Ideally, Google camera (GCam) should work fine, but I tried a few apks (found on internet) and nothing got installed.
Third party cam apps are working fine but I don't really like 'em (tried a few "best rated" or "promoted").
And we do have an issue with built-in camera app: bed outdated UI, and we're unable to get to "Photos" from cam app, it's always asking for enabling parent control (regardless is set or not).
So, to better summarize my question: is there a working GCam apk for this tablet? If you have one, please upload it here. Thanks!
First read Here
Then search Here for the APK that suits for Fire Tablet
PS: All of the APK's work, you just need to find the correct APK that suits the Architecture and the Screen DPI.
Pretty useless answer. If you can't recommend any, better to skip question.
Firstly, if you read my provided links, you'll see i did recommend a Application(Google Camera).
Secondly, the reason i explained how to get the necesary APK, is because you said " Ideally, Google camera (GCam) should work fine, but I tried a few apks (found on internet) and nothing got installed." so i was merely trying to help you out with finding the correct APK for your Device.
Try this one, it's suitable for Android 9+
Google Camera 6.2.018.232321489 APK Download by Google LLC - APKMirror
Google Camera 6.2.018.232321489 APK Download by Google LLC - APKMirror Free and safe Android APK downloads
www.apkmirror.com
Anyway i hope this helps you out sensboston
@ComputerTech312, first, it looks like "Google Camera" app doesn't work on Fire HD 8 Kids Edition at all; and version you've provided can't be even installed.
Second, I already resolved issue (BTW, check when I asked and you replied ) by using free, open source "Open Camera" app: this is a correct answer to my question, this app is demonstrating most closest approach to the "Google Camera" (no ads, "funky-junky" UI inventios, photos (i.e. DCAM folder) is accessible right from the camera app - i.e. exactly what I and my 6 y.o daughter wanted).
Alright, well i'm glad you found something that suits your needs
Hello Community,
I have a weird one here - hoping someone can help -
Couple months back I bought myself an OnePlus6T phone and came here for help to successfully install LineageOS onto it. I would say it was the most fun but challenging install that I have performed but with your help, I was able to do so - Thanks.
Phone has been running great under LineageOS with excellent battery life. Been using F-Droid / Aurora Store when needed (mostly for work related Apps). Lately I got into a game that is similar to Pokemon GO and ran into an issue. The game was installed from apkpure since it was not found with Aurora Store.
The game works just fine. Boots up and able to play the game, walking around interacting with the environment. Except for some of the items in game are not clickable. Reached out to their support and with some troubleshooting, couldnt figure out the issue. Nobody has claimed this same issue. Same version that is the most recent. Since I still had my old phone, I installed the game on there (via Google Play Store) and it worked 100%. This phone is officially on Tmobile OS, believe Android 10.
So it had me thinking of what was different between the two devices. Obs the OS's are different, but the main factor that I couold think of was that when I installed LIneageOS on the OnePlus6t, i didnt install Google Play Services along with. Grabbed an apk of it, updated it and the game is still acting the same - cant interact with some of the objects in game. Through phone activity, I do get the notification pop stating "Google Play Services has crash" with two options, close app and app info.
Overview :
Objective / Issue - Geolocation game works but not 100% since some of the objects in game are not working, most are
Tmobile Phone - Running Official Android 10 - game installed from Play Store - works 100%
OnePlus6T Phone - Running LineageOS 18.1 - game installed manually, boot and runs but not all objects are intractable
Questions - Can i install Google Play Services separately through TWRP?
Which version would I install? Is there a slim down version of Google Play Services to only install the service and nothing else?
Is there a way to fully, and I mean Fully backup my data for a factory reset so i can install Google Play Services?
Would installing Lineage MircoG be a possible solution?
I know its a strange issue / request but hopefully a simple solution. Not sure if I can just install Google Play Services through TWRP and that would work but that would be the simplest and I wouldnt lose any data
Any help would be greatly appreciation,
Thanks,
