I just bought the international version (D802) of the LG G2 and i'm doing a bit of reading up on rooting the phone before I start playing with it. Can anyone tell me which of the .img files is suitable to download from this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449670) for my phone?
I assumed the Korean version is not the same as the international version?
(sorry for not posting this question in the thread I mentioned, but as a new user it says I don't have permission to post in the developer section)
Thanks.

I also have the 802.
I've managed to root my phone using the method here. It detected my phone as the ATT/TM variant so I reckon it is similar at least on some level. I had no issues with the IOroot.
There is another thread in the General forum that says TWRP doesn't work though.
Thanks, I read the rooting guide and it looked straight forward enough. But the twrp guide didn't mention the 802, so I just wanted to make sure I flash the correct one.
I was just reading that thread you mentioned in the general section. It still leaves me a bit confused, as to which one, if any, works. I've been saving for months for this phone, so the first thing I want to do after rooting is make a backup!

Can anyone confirm if the Canadian Qualcomm N910W8 variant with Lollipop 5.0.1 Build n910w8vlu1boc4 is supported by the twrp-2.8.6.0-trltecan.zip? Thank you in advance.
I downloaded twrp-2.8.6.0-trltedt.img.tar from https://twrp.me/ for my N910G, but there are no md5 hashes for the file on the site. How can I verify that my file is not corrupt?
Also, is it possible to flash twrp with heimdall on linux?

Unless you are using custom roms, you can just use the international.

Thanks but I do plan on using custom roms in the near future, just want custom recovery and root to clean this beast up a bit first and see if it makes any improvement.
From what I hear the indian one is carrier free? will it affect my usage at all?

Touch screen offset after flashing TWRP on galaxy note 4
I used flashify to flash TWRP recovery on my galaxy note 4, which caused the touch screen to offset by approx. an inch. I have flashed stock recovery and rom but the problem persists. The pen is however working fine. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you are a good tester, and there is kernel source and you can give me the recovery I can work with you. I guess the treltexx series doesn't work?
Hi guys, I used to use Philz's CWM on my Note 3 (N800W8/) and have since made the switch to TWRP on my Note 4 (N810W8/) but cannot seem to be able to write to the phone from my PC when I mount the phone's SD in TWRP.
I can read files just fine, but when I try and write, I get an error in Windows 7. TWRP is able to read the SD card just fine though.
All the drivers are installed for ADB/Samsung interface, no unknown devices.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Ok thank you very much i thing i found the "solution"
Sorry for dumb question... Is this non-destructive root?
Hi all, I need to recover some photos and I have to root in order to dump the file system... I am not so very familiar with rooting of Android phones, therefore I am asking if the rooting method described above will erase the user partition (applications, accounts, media etc). The phone is a G531FxxU1AOI4 with 5.1.1... It has original bootloader and rom... does rooting on this device require unlocking bootloader (therefore wiping data)? I`ve searched allover the android forums, especially xda, but it seems there`s something I am missing.. noone states for clear what happens.
Thanks!
My friend and I are noobs and want to root our Note 4 - n910cxxu1coi4 phones running 5.1.1. There has not been a custom kernel released (to our knowledge) and we wanted to know where there is documentation on what files we need, including version of ODIN to walk through the process.
We definitely need step by step instructions; some of the documentation we've come across leave steps out, or are pretty unclear. We've asked Max Lee of High on Android for assistance and he said we'd need to get a custom kernel, back up with TWRP and that he's not seen anyone root our model on 5.1.1 n910cxxu1coi4 yet. We surely cannot be the first.
All help appreciated!

Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
Look in the thread linked below, in post #1579 there are links posted for different kernels that will root your device on COI4 /COH4 firmware, find one to flash through Odin.
