Is there any way to mount/edit the system folder? I have Magisk installed but system folder is denied. I have read that on Native Android 10 devices the editing of the system folder is not possible. Is there any mod?
Not possible, really not much about it.
Ok thanks.. I wanted to edit the fonts..

I'm fairly new to android, and rooting and custom roms and all that i have an a500 with the minimalistic 3.2 rom, and but this has happened with any other custom roms or stock firmwares aswell (all rooted)..
Anyway, ill use this as an example, one time, and I was trying to install the samsung Ebook.apk and it required a separate sytem app, and everyone said move this other app (my files. Apk.) to system / apps and change permissions, I've tried with several file managers and it always says that it is read only,
This happens when trying to move files to other system folders... Isn't rooting supposed to give me access to these and let me edit files or put files there ect
I'm probably just stupid, but but any help would be appreciated

Can you just push the files with ADB and edit the permissions?
I could not get ES File Explorer to gain root permissions with the Minimalist Rom, but the ADB method worked for me (installing Polaris Office).
I've heard a lot about adb but have never used it.. Ill look it up and see if I can set it up... thanks
use root explorer. Great file manager and gives youba button to mount the filesystem r/w

You need to remount the relevant folders as read/write. Most file explorers can do it. Most people swear by Root Explorer, but that's pay software. I use ES File Manager, which is free.
Thanks a lot but but how do i change permissions with root explorer? I (i am supposed i change them to 644)

This patch is multi devices and multi roms, you can use it on any roms, this patch will allow you to install apps/games into your internal storage, not just in system storage. This patch very useful if you like doing flashing/changing rom, you don't have to install apps/games manually, one by one like before, with this, you just flash it in the recovery that you've installed all apps that you always use on previous roms...
How to use it ?
- Download the patch from here
- Extract it : You'll find these folders
> data/app
> META-INF/..../updater.script
> system/app
- If you want to install your apps in internal storage, put your .apk files inside "data/app"
- If you want to install your apps in system storage, put your .apk files inside "system/app"
- Repack the zip, then flash in the recovery
- Don't forget to wipe cache and dalvik cache before flashing...
- Enjoy
If you like this patch, don't forget to press THANKS button
Great work bro.... It will be useful for those who like to make a mod or app ported but they posted through root explorer, as an example (rw-r--r--) LOL , I'm sure many who download your work even though no one comments. here as it.
Keep up bro
excellent... I may look into modifying to add "system/priv-app" as an option [emoji106]
update: modding not required as /system includes /system/priv-app from updater.script point of view ~ just had to add a priv-app folder to paste apks into

yes, you can add everything inside system folder, not just app in system/app or system/priv-app, if you had a mods in the other folder(in system/etc for example), just make folder "etc" inside folder system....
cause my script is working for the whole folder in system...

The link is broken but I think someone made a copy here.
I've already debloated the ROM (D802 30b) and deleted preload folder and other useless apps from system, but we all now that after every reboot, "something" is re-creating this Preload folder even if the real folder no longer exist..
The folder itself is 0 byte, but how to avoid this symlink?
I've decompiled framework, lge-res and other system apk, but I became blind watching lot of xml, so if anyone can help me, I will be very grateful....
Ps.. Something is also creating "Quickset setup" folder, but is linked to Quick remote app (the only LG quick app in my phone) and will be beautiful to get rid of this too..
+1 also deleted preload system folder but every boot the folder shows up at sdcard.
Must be in some script
Hi guys, i'm trying to delete this folder from my sdcard. I think NexusRootToolkit created it while i was rooting my device but now I don't need it more. I cannot delete it with any file manager, also with root access. I also have some apks that I moved from system partition that i can't delete.. How can i get rid of these stuff :c

this can be done using TWRP >advanced>file manager> choose the files you wish to remove
