Where can I find the carrier locked firmware for my phone - Huawei P Smart Questions & Answers

Hi,
I´m thinking about installing a custom rom on my phone, but I always want to make sure that it can go back to it´s original (box) state and, if I can, recover the warranty. So, because my phone is locked to my carrier (Vodafone Portugal), I was wondering if I can find that locked firmware.
If it´s not possible, is there a way that I can extract the original rom and then, if I need to, get my phone back to it´s original state.
Thanks,

Noob new Blackstone - Unlocking clarification

Guys
I've searched the forums and realise I can buy a SIM unlock code for my Blackstone, however I'm trying to clarify the following.
1. If I install a different ROM do I still need to buy the unlock?
2. If I changed the EMEI (I want the phone to match my in car fixed EMEI - I realise the blackstone has to be switched off when in the car else conflicts) does that mean the phone has to be unlocked again?
3. Once the phone has been unlocked if I change the ROM will it have to be unlocked again?
What prompted the question is reading the Wiki few areas actually simlock the phones....therefore my assumption is a different ROM means it could become unlocked.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Regards
Its an unlocked phone my friend so obviously you pay a higher price for the phone itself able to use with any sim card. Carriers phone that are branded with the carrier logo are usually cheaper with a plan that could cost more then the phone overtime and is locked to the phone carrier which requires a sim unlocking code to use with other sim cards/ other carriers.
The answer to that is you can install any rom on the phone and if it an unlocked htc touch hd which you paid a lot for then it will be unlocked forever
if its locked to a carrier im not sure about that maybe someone can clarify.
any ideas please guys, I get the phone in a couple of hours.
bump
Anyone?
Try to keep this short
1. If I install a different ROM do I still need to buy the unlock?
No Simlock is based on the radio and hardware (short version).
Once unlocked yoiu can up your rom and your radio, it stays unlocked.
2. If I changed the EMEI (I want the phone to match my in car fixed EMEI - I realise the blackstone has to be switched off when in the car else conflicts) does that mean the phone has to be unlocked again?
Got me lost on this one.
Simlock is based on radio and Hardware.
So your IMEI is part of the phone which is either Sim Locked or not.
If you put your sim into what ever is in phone is in your car your number will be the same.
Once you have sim unlocked a device it remains unlocked.
Like I said you lost me.
3. Once the phone has been unlocked if I change the ROM will it have to be unlocked again?
No - Once done it remains unlocked regardless of rom or radio upgrade.
(and if you buy a new Simlocked Blackstrone you cant use your old code as the lock is based on the hardware)
What prompted the question is reading the Wiki few areas actually simlock the phones....therefore my assumption is a different ROM means it could become unlocked.
--->point me to the page that you feel needs updated, i will have a go at it.
(please PM me)

Lock back to network?

Hi I had unlocked CID / network locks etc using olipro's codes long back. Sent phone for repairs recently but Tmobile returned it without repairing because of unauthorized unlocking.
Is there any process available to restore network locks and get the phone back to shipped state?
If there was, would it make sense?
T-Mobile already marked your phone in their system as being unlocked in an unauthorized way.

Thanks. I had unlocked it long back and after that I had it repaired twice via carphone warehouse and Tmobile fixed it. I had recently loaded another rom and I reckon its the 'smart mobility' splash screen that gave it away. I have denied any knowledge of the phone being unlocked.
Is there a way to get rid of the 'smart mobilty' boot screen?, If I get rid of that and load up Tmobile shipped rom they might repair it.
Flashing the original rom back to the phone restores all that, including the stock Windows mobile and radio rom. You can find it at the support section of the htc site, provided that you have a htc and not a tmobile one In the latter case, you'd have to check out the t-mobile site for the latest official rom.

No phone or SMS

Hi,
Been using custom ROMS on my Hero since new with no probs. Last Thursday after receiving an SMS I am unable to make or receive phone call and txts. My mobile internet still works fine. When a phone call is made to my phone the caller receives a message that the number is no longer available, though if I switch the phone off the caller gets put through to my voicebox. My provider has confirmed that there are no blocks etc on my phone or account, this is also proved as when I put my SIM in another phone all works as usual.
I am using Villain ROM 12 and the latest radio. I have set the phone to GSM only, automatic etc. I have reinstalled the ROM wiping everything etc and have tried flashing different radios.
The only thing I can think to try now is to flash a stock ROM. Which would be best (its a UK orange phone) and will I then lose root etc.
Most probably though I fear the cellular chip is dead.
Any other ideas and which stock ROM should I try, oh yes I bought the phone of ebay new and unopened, will I be able to return it somewhere for repai HTC ???
Thanks for reading and for any help
Hmmm,... Strange one is this.
First thing I would try if I were you is to flash a generic ROM through your custom recovery,....
One from http://android.modaco.com/content/h...oms-radios-in-update-zip-format-for-gsm-hero/
Worth a shot,....
If you get the same result,.... Run an RUU .exe. This will unroot so if it is successful you will have to go through the whole rigmarole of installing a custom recovery again to be able to flash custom ROMs.
Dont know what else to suggest sorry.
Oh well, tried stock roms and still the same problem. Looks like it must be the pgones hardware.
Any one recommend a good repairer here in the UK
Cheers

LG G6 ex-demo unit-legally acquired! H870V (dual sim)

Okay, so probably looks fishy, so to get one thing out of the way, if anyone wants to blame around how the device must've been stolen, I can make a video proof showing a purchase on eBay Stores close all the time, so what? And there is nothing bad about trying to make use of something that has no use anymore, so if you are planning to give me a moral lecture how I'm doing something evil by saving a good piece of valuable hardware from going to trash, you are welcome to turn your head away.
Now that we've eliminated the spammers, let's try to do something constructive
So this is the current state of the unit:
SW ver. V10f-OPT1-HQ.
Baseband ver. MPSS.TH.2.0.1.c3.1-00014-M8996FAAAANAZM-1.86009.21
Build num. NRD90U
Kernel ver. 3.18.31
What I'm trying to achieve is to make this unit have GSM network in EU, hopefully without touching the hardware, so that's the first thing I have to test. I read somewhere that it might be possible to achieve that by writing QCN and EFS with Octoplus box.
If someone can do a backup of their EFS (with Chimera possibly), I'd like to "borrow" it for a ride, just to see if that is true.
The other problem is that I cannot get my BL unlocked because I don't have an IMEI, so I have to hope for someone to make a workaround for this.
Probably could be achieved by QFIL flash, but that's never easy.
Since I don't know much about LG's FW files and how they work, I have to ask if it's possible to compile a "passable" KDZ containing unlocked bootloader or custom recovery with secure check modified so that I can get this thing opened?
Another thing which I have to report is that I found a totally legit way (at least on my FW ver.) to write/repair IMEI without root, just through service menu!
I don't know if other devices have this and if this is maybe not a new thing at all, but I find it pretty amazing!
If there is interest, I will provide some preview in comments, as well as APK if possible!
Right now I managed to write some generic IMEI.
It has a generator inside, it practically changes not only IMEI, but as well as MAC and some other stuff according to values which you set (I remember there is a region setting, so I selected EU_OPEN).
To make sure, I'm not trying to fake an IMEI and cheat my way through gaining network access and who knows what, but before I purchase the new EFS legally, I'd like to see if this HW is capable of running it.
So, another thing is that the network still isn't comming. I think the band can be set only on 1900 or something like that, but I think there might still be network limitation due to SW, no matter I flashed it with LG_UP and modem file got flashed normally as any other file.
Cell network is grayed out in settings, when I put the SIM in, it seems to detect it at first, but later in most of the SIM related settings which I tried to mess with in service menu it says that SIM is not detected. Generally when I remove SIM/SD card tray it detects it and asks for a SIM.
If there is nobody willing to borrow an EFS, I hope there is someone who really knows meanings of all these stuff in this service menu, who can guide me through a little bit.
I think there's chance that some settings there disable networking, and if I could copy and paste them from another device, it might wake up. It doesn't have reception at all, not even 112 and 911 at the moment, it detects no networks when I jump to manual network selection option (because I cannot access through settings), and that discourages me a little.
If there is any genius out there, get summoned please!
So you stole it?

Now let me steal your EFS
How does the service menu look on your G6? Did you check it out?

I didn't find a way to flash any other firmware. I think it's impossible to get network. I disassembled my own and compared the motherboard with the one that I found on Google images. It seems that a modem chip is absolutely missing from the device. That explains no network, even after generating EFS (at least in my case).
I don't know what is your level of knowledge, but for example, I've been trying to root Korean LG V10, and haven't succeed, although I've seen some websites selling custom root .tot firmware files, but I don't know is it possible to make or find those files for newer devices.
lg g6 demo flashed

Hi! Is your sim card slot working? Maybe you can send some links for your solution? In my case is LG up saying that h870v is an unknown device. I think that i have the wrong LGUP_common.dll if I understood correctly. And couldn't find the right one.
And the System is using ca 20 Gb. Is it possible to unlock the bootloader without IMEI. Somehow to get it rooted?
