wondering what wifi connection speeds people are getting on their oneplus 2,
according to ifixit teardown it has a Qualcomm QCA6174 802.11ac Wi-Fi 2x2 so it should have two antennas.
https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/OnePlus+2+Teardown/45352?utm_source=oneplus2teardown&utm_medium=Description&utm_campaign=YouTube
but I am only getting single antenna speeds, same connections speeds as G4 and basically half of the speeds I got with my nexus 6.
I also would like to know oneplus 2 wifi speed. Seems like beside Samsung Galaxy S6 or Note 5, all other smartphone today can only support 802.11ac up to 433Mbps. Hope Oneplus 2 support 2x2 866Mbps.
I am getting half or less the speed I get with my Oneplus One! ! Tested both a few minutes ago, 21mbps on the 2, 68mbps on the OPO. Seriously.
Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk
Same issue, 1x1 speed @433 instead 866. Pfft.
Dear Gents,
I would like to ask an advice and help also.
My phone is XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 4, snapdragon 625 with 3gb RAM and 32gb of memory. as per the specifications, the dualband signal is supported.
My problem is, why can't it detect 5ghz wifi signal?
Please Help me.
Thanks and Best Regards
More power to the XDA people!
Cheers!
Are you sure you have a note 4 and not note 4x, which does NOT support dualband?
I think that is his problema the 4x hasn' t got the capacity of get 5Ghz signals.
Hi.
I got a very slow speed in 4G with A1 and different speed test apk.
I used the same SIM (TIM - Italian provider - enabled for 4G), in the same place with two different phone
JiayU S3 with Androdi 4.4
Xiaomi Mi A1 with oreo (ROM January 2018)
The result (media) for the etst are
Jiayu S3 - 4G speed test - 70 Mbit Download - 18 Mbit upload
Xiaomi Mi A1 - 4G speed test - 5 Mbit Download - 15 Mbit upload
I already checked that 4G is enabled in A1 and prefered provdier is TIM-
I make also a test via Wi-fi (with a network with 802.11ac router and FTTC 100Mbit) with both phones and the result are more or less identical for both phones (about 70 Mbit download - 20 Mbit upload).
It mean the problem is the mobile 4G module of A1 or Oreo.
What's about it?
No one got a similar problems?
I am also getting this issue. Though I think Mi A1 has slow network issue from the beginning but it has now become worst after the Oreo update. I have 2 other devices Honor 9 Lite and Honor 8 Lite I am getting 6-8mbps speed while on Mi A1 i am getting speed less than 300kbps on Reliance Jio VoLTE network.
Slow speeds via 4G/LTE
Same issue here. I'm getting slow speeds when using speedtest apps via the 4g/LTE connection.
Provider/Location: AT&T / Dallas, TX
Speeds fluctuate between 2mb - 11mb (more on the slow side). Several tests ran in different cities, hours apart with the same results. Others at my location are getting 30mb down constantly while mine are next to nothing. Also put my SIM in another persons phone to make sure I wasn't being capped somehow and speeds were normal (back to 30mb down).
Changing to WiFi gets me a steady 65-70Mb down and 12 up.
This makes me believe that the antenna/radio is losing power/signal. I am not expert here, just making a guess. I just got the phone a few days ago so I don't have a any past data to compare it too.
Anyone know if their is a way you can boost signal to the mobile antenna within the phone? Or any fix for that matter?
Works fine for me, Vodafone Italy.
I'm having confusion between Realme 2 pro and Asus Zenfone, because Asus has got a massive battery (5000 mAh) and (Snapdragon 636), whereas Realme 2 pro has (Snapdragon 660), but a very low battery (3500 mAh) considering the processor. And I specifically want to buy a phone for gaming (PUBG, Asphalt 9 etc).
I will stick to ZMP M1
Serious Network bug in Max Pro M1.
Even with better reception.
Get poco, not much price difference and superior in every possible way.
If you are not fan of notch you can go with asus zenfone maxpro m1 but wait max pro m2 just got announced

I would suggest Zenfone, because:
1. Notch displays are not good for gaming & watching videos (for obvious reason - display cutout, so some contents won't be visible).
2. M1's 5000 mAh battery performs very well. You can play for much longer time.
3. SD636 is just Underclocked SD660. And there's Overclocked kernel available for M1 to match the performance. So there won't be, if not then slight performance difference.
Neither Asphalt 9, nor PUBG lags on M1. I personally play Asphalt 9 with High graphics, and PUBG with HD graphics + Extreme FPS. There's no lag or heating issue.
For gaming i recommend you real me 2 pro
For long term gaming asus m1
Build is plastic on real me while metal in asus
Stock android is in asus while buggy color os is in real me which is not properly optimised.
Rest is you choice. I would go for m1 pro its available for very cheap rate in sell
You want that color os for life???
The hardware of realme2pro is good...
SD660..
Faceunlock via IR
But you will never be able to flash any custom rom or even root any oppo device because they do not make the kernel sources publicly avaliable...i.e---No developer community/Roms/custom kernels/Root
And..... Color os is very heavy and performace will be compromised
Go for asus

It is not publicly out yet
If you are primarily into gaming, then Max Pro 6GB any-day. The ColorOS is bloated and not properly optimized.
Buy Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1

Wait for few days.. I'm guessing 'Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2' is launching...

I have very simple answer for you:
If you consider yourself well versed with Android don't buy any device which has ColorOS or else you will regret.
Reasons:
It will give a constant flashing banner on your statusbar as soon as you enable Developers option, accessibility for any app, Mobile Hotspot, etc. and force you to shut them down.
You won't see any notification icons if the device has a notch (even realme 2 pro although it has very small notch).
Usb debugging will auto disable within 10 minutes of non-usage (it will anyway get disabled as the OS will keep on flashing banner until you disable Developers option).
No bootloader unlocking for any Realme device as of now.
These are few of the worst issues in ColorOS 5.2 right now.
Brother you should get realme 2 pro
If you can live with ColorOS and don't mind a smaller battery, go for Realme 2 Pro.
I used Asus Zenfone Max pro me 6gb after using OnePlus 5 8gb. Honestly saying Asus got good network reception than OnePlus 5 >> + asus has massive battery, pubg and asphalt 9 runs extremely well on balanced graphics and high fps. I don't know why people says that Asus Zenfone Max pro has bad network reception. I stay in a very off network place, but I still get good network reception.

It's happening for some people unfortunately.
For wifi I can wholeheartedly confirm.
Surprised that you have better reception on ZMPM1 than OP5. Good for you.

For people buying 15k phones, 7k would be regarded as much of a price difference.
Agree regarding the value part though.
Also superior in every possible way!?
Miui and notch ? (just kiddin)
Real me 2 probhas 5 main problems
1 sd660 is underclocked like 636
2 screen is tft very old technology
3 body is platic not glass or metal
4 color os is not very good for multitasking and not optimised. Apps getting reload modtly.
5 slow updates

[Reception is good but this ****s modem is crazy, call and internet drops like hell].
I choose this piece of crap over RN5 Pro,and that was such a mistake if feel pitty in myselves.
I want to trash it by using a sledgehammer, nothing less
Hi,
I currently using Le Max 2 4gb/64gb device as my daily driver and gaming. But i want to change to another device because of several issues.
1. I play pubg alot and my device is ok i guess to play pubg. I can run at hd and high without lag (only render/hiccup lag) but the problem is the thermal throttling, my device get hot pretty fast (sd820). So i have to play behind a fan Everytime my device gets hot.
2. Small battery. I need bigger battery.
3. No headphone jack. Tired of using Bluetooth headphone because i still need to charge the headphone.
So im thinking switching to asus zenfone max pro ml (budget phone price), i know that sd636 can run pubg pretty good. But after searching online reviews i found out most of users complaint about mobile data speed is slow. Asus zenfone max pro m1 have all solution to my above problems but if the mobile data speed is slow it's not good. So i have questions.
1. Is this true?
2. Is there any fix for this?
3. Does custom rom fix this problem?
4. All version of asus zenfone max pro m1 have this problem?
5. High ping all the time while playing pubg?
Thanks!!
Sorry for my bad english..
1. yes it's true
2. It seems to be fixed with last few updates
3. No problem in custom roms(currently on Aex pie)...performance and lte speed is good
4. Dont know about that
5. I got high ping on stock so switched to custom rom but now this problem has been fixed...
Asus max pro M2 launch is around the corner...wait for it...?
