Hi I just switched to a S10+ from a S8+ and I am noticing significant lag when taking pictures. There's at least a quarter second of delay between pressing the shutter button to the phone actually taking a picture. On my S8+ I could rapid fire photos by rapidly pressing the shutter button, it would take photos with zero delay, but on the S10+ it is so slow I can only take a couple of pictures even though I am pressing the shutter button multiple times. This happens even in broad daylight with good light.
I've tried rebooting, turning every AI and HDR feature, clearing camera cache, and there's absolutely no change. I am on the snapdragon version with the latest Android 10 and One UI 2.1 update.
Has anyone had this issue and managed to solve it?
Yes, I'am experiencing it too. Very annoying. My previous S7 used to take pictures without that delay.

Hi
Anyone experiencing a low click like sound when trying to set the focus or when exiting camera on HD2? I am not talking anything about the shutter sound, this is something different. Not all times I can hear this, but for sure at some instances when setting the focus.
Thanks
Yes, I think it has something to do with the lens aperture. It decreases or increases in its range to compensate the image exposure to light...I guess that's normal behavior for a digital camera, even if inside a cellphone..
Since it also happens when zooming, I'm pretty sure it's the lens "mechanical" movement..
It's the focus lens being released to its "infinity" end position. It's most likely spring-loaded, and it hits the end point when control is released.
yup, anyone with experience of compact igital cameras knows that's a pretty normal thing
What's strange tho, is that I often/always get a very fast flash discharge blink when going from preview mode back to camera mode, or something... don't understand why that happens
I have recently upgraded the tablet and the screen is acting like it is going to sleep but sleep was turned off and the display will light up and go black every 90 seconds and it will not respond and changing the display settings or time out does not fix the issue. Has there been any backlight issues with the table? I had the tablet crashing Chrome repeatedly then upgraded to hopefully fix the issue. I would like some feed back. The tablet is pretty much useless if I am not able to enact with it and the touch screen is also not responsive when it goes black. Power Button to force display is only able to work about 50% of the time.
Yep I have the same. In every charge cycle my tablet hangs in the way you have described. No solutions for that as well. Seems like stability issue.

I installed several versions of the Google camera app (4.1 & 4.2) on my s8 which all partially work.
If I press the button to take a picture. The flash goes off followed by a shutter sound almost immediately. But the actual picture is taken seconds later, so I have to keep the phone still and focussed. This works by day but by night, the flash is long gone by the time the picture is actually taken, leaving a dark picture.
Anyone else have this issue?
Hello! i have a question regarding the shutter speed of my oneplus 5. No matter whatever app i use or custom rom i flash, i cant set or control the shutter speed, neither with stock camera. Even if i set the shutter to 30 seconds the camera will take the pic in about 2/3 seconds max. I used to shot very cool pics at night with my Op3 (with resurrection remix) by controlling the shutter speed and when i bought this phone i thought i could have even done them better. Also the google camera by arnova doesnt work really good: a pink tint fully cover my pic taken with hdr+ activated. I guess this is normal because there is also the option to remove it but as the pink tint is gone a new black tint comes to cover the corners of the pics and the result is pretty weird, photos are so unreal. Anyone have any idea what's going on? i tried it all but i still have this issue, my priority is the shutter speed by the way
Hi all,
Anyone elses 3x zoom picture are brighter than usual when taken?
On the viewfinder it looks fine, but after taking the picture, it's like super bright and different to what the viewfinder was.
This doesnt happen to anything after 4x zoom, I'm not sure if it's a bug since I can't see anyone is reporting it. Can someone give this a try please?
Example attached, 4x vs 3x
I have cleared data in the camera and it still happens, I am on latest OOS.
Just did a test, this does not happen when I use burst mode on 3x, the picture is exactly what the viewfinder shows, not the overexposed/brightnened image.
I've done a test and not encountered this issue, is there a particular scenario that it happens that I can test?
