3. wipe (cache, system, vendor, internal storage)
4. install the latest firmware 11.0.4.0

I've noticed that wiping system often ends up booting in fastboot on that device.
Wiping system is not necessary since that happens while flashing the ROM.
This is what I did to successfully boot other ROMs than MIUI:
1. boot in TWRP
2. format data, reboot in TWRP
3. wipe (cache, system, vendor, internal storage)
4. install the latest MIUI 11.0.4.0 full ROM
5. reboot in TWRP
6. wipe (cache, internal storage)
7. install the ROM
I always wipe cache/dalvik after installing ROM but I don't think it's necessary.

Official twrp goes into fastboot if I try to reboot to recovery without any system installed, but orangefox does that fine
So I recommend orangefox

My friend's device has TWRP 2.8.7.7 and CyanogenMod 12.1 by @ED300 (not up to date).
She wants it to be restored in its original state. How could I flash this file?
Code:
http://phonedl.ota.lenovomm.com/dls/v6/Kraft-A6000_S058_151030_KK2L_WC67.zip
Should I just wipe system, data, and cache in TWRP then flash the zip from the link?
1. Reboot into recovery.
2. Wipe the normal way (Factory reset).
3. Flash the .zip.
4. Wipe cache and Dalvik cache after flashing, just in case.
5. Reboot. Enjoy!
Using TWRP? Don't I have to wipe system first when coming from another ROM? Thanks,
You have to wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache
For me that didnt work you have to extract stockrom.zip then extract system.zip then take boot.img and flash it first, followed by system.zip and yourcountry.zip

No, it's Marshmallow 6.0.1.
Why full rom is still unavailable for Fastboot mode ?
How can i install this with TWRP and keep TWRP and keep root and keep my unencrypted internal storage?
Is it rooted or my Mi Max root will be gone, thanks
Well, full ROM is not rooted, that's for sure. If you want to install it, do a backup before with TWRP on Micro SD. It is very recomended. If something goes wrong then you can restore your system.
For CLEAN INSTALL, on Mi Max 3/32 GB, I followed theese steps. By doing this, you will loose all your previously apps and data:
1. Download and Copy full ROM from first post on Micro SD (miui_MIMAXGlobal_V8.1.6.0.MBCMIDI_1e6706b520_6.0.zip).
2. Download and Copy SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip on Micro SD. Can be found here: download.chainfire.eu/1021/SuperSU/SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip?retrieve_file=1
3. Download and Copy Install lazyflasher-no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip (a script to disable dm-verity and forced encryption) on Micro SD. Can be found here: en.miui.com/thread-310923-1-1.html
4. Boot into TWRP.
5. Mount System, Data, Cache, Internal Storage, Micro SD.
6. Advanced WIPE -> Select Dalvik/ART Cache, System, Data, Cache, Internal Storage. Swipe to WIPE.
7. Install miui_MIMAXGlobal_V8.1.6.0.MBCMIDI_1e6706b520_6.0.zip from Micro SD.
8. Install SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip from Micro SD.
9. Install lazyflasher-no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip from Micro SD.
10. WIPE DALVIK & CACHE.
11. Reboot to System.
If device automatically reboot after step 8, reboot again in TWRP (by continuously pressing Power + Volume Up until vibrate and then release and wait for TWRP) and continue with step 9, 10 and 11.
Wait 10-20 min for first boot and continue with system setup. You will have SuperSU installed.
This worked for me, but I'm NOT responsible for your actions.

Tried it, still on Android 6. Not much different.
Will try the beta 7.2.16.

Hi there,
I can not install any version of MultiRom.me ROM, except this one v8.0.1.0 Global Stable. Here is the detail of my weird issue.
A. What do you have?
Mimax 3/32GB with working TWRP 3.0.3-0
https://dl.twrp.me/hydrogen/twrp-3.0.3-0-hydrogen.img
v8.0.1.0 Global Stable ROM flashable .zip file (1)
http://ua.multirom.me/MROTA/STABLE/V8/V8.0/multirom_MIMAX_V8.0.1.0.MBCCNDG_v6.0.1_b13_e685363f8e.zip
v8.2.2.0 Global Stable ROM flashable .zip file (2)
https://vroms2fe7lh.multirom.me/MRO...AX_V8.2.2.0.MBCCNDL_v6.0.1_b24_8c9ad51076.zip
SuperSU 2.79 flashable .zip file (3)
https://download.chainfire.eu/1021/SuperSU/SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip
B. What process did you use?
Booted to TWRP
Wiped fully (system, data, cache, davik cache)
Installed ROM (saved in USB OTG)
Installed SuperSU (saved in USB OTG)
Wiped Cache & Davik Cache
Rebooted
C. What is your issue?
If I used the combo (1), (3) and process (B), everything worked well w/o any problem. But,
If I used the combo (2), (3) and process (B), it could not boot up. The Mi logo lighted on in 1s and shutdown immediately later whenever I pressed power button.
In addition, I could not boot into TWRP too.
Now I've been in rom (1) with working TWRP, and still could not flash rom (2).
Kindly help me explain it and show me how to solve this issue.
Thanks and Best Regards,
[email protected]
Hello,
I tried to download v8.2.2.0 Global Stable ROM flashable .zip (2) but I could not access the file (forbidden). So I have no way to test the installation.
Try this:
1. Boot into TWRP.
2. Wipe (system, data, cache, davik cache and internal storage).
3. Install ROM.
4. Go to Mount -> Select , Deselect and Select againSystem. Let it selected.
5. Go to Advanced -> File Manager -> Go to System folder. In root of System it's a file: recovery-from-boot.p. Delete it. In this way, you will not loose TWRP.
6. Go back and install SuperSU.
7. Wipe Cache & Davik Cache.
8. Reboot.
It is possible for the device to auto reboot 2-3 times until the system will load.
See if this will help you.
Hello.
So i've flashed Lineage 28May Build and this automaticly encrypt my device ...
I've read on the internet that if the device is encrypted the flash process is a bit diferent.
I've read about wipe data cache dalvik and system
wipe data cache dalvik system and internal storage
And flash adb ...
So, now i tried to go to TWRP and it just apears Mi Logo!
Not booting into any recovery (Stock or TWRP)
I've installed Miui.eu and the recovery is ok
I flash Lineage and i can't boot into recovery anymore ...
What to do?
Issues :
1 - Can't boot into TWRP
2 - What process is to flash a new Lineage Rom? ( I want to decrypt my device to flash more easily)
I really need help ...
I don't know if my bootloader is unlocked or locked right now, because i flashed too many roms ...
Need help !

1)Try to reflash twrp from fastboot mode.(if you can't do this, then your bootloader is locked. And no matter how many roms you install, bootloader, once unlocked remains unlocked, untill you lock purposefully).
2)In twrp wipe cache, dalvik, and if necessary data for clean installation.
3) Once any custom ROM is installed, while in mi logo , you cannot directly boot to twrp. You have to go to fastboot and from there boot to twrp.
4) First install only ROM. Once it gets installed turn it on. Once it successfully turns on, then you can install gapps ( this is not always necessary to be followed)
5) formatting data completely will decrypt your device. Just goto format data and type "yes". You need not goto advanced wipe.

i follow the instructions as per omnirom thread... flash the vendor/firmware, wipe data , reboot recovery, and flash the rom, but the omni rom does not boot at all and just shows the OMNI sign on/off. How should i proceed?
Which ROM were you on? What Firmware were you on? Were you Encrypted? Did you only Wipe /Data or did you wipe everything?

I first flashed OOS stock firmware, then OOS, then LOS.
I format data and then wipe dalvik cache, cache, data, system.

Is your Recovery up to date? I'd recommend the latest Codeworkx TWRP. Did you already have the Vendor partition on your device before attempting to flash Omnirom?
If in doubt flash full OOS 5.1.3 and OTA all the way up to and including 9.0.1. Then reinstall TWRP by fastboot, wipe and format everything and then flash Omni.

I still tried, it does not work. My phone got bricked, so I used MSM tool to unbrick and after that I got Nougat 7.1.1. I upgrade my Android to 8.0 (OOS 5.1.3) from system update, and after that update another one came, Android 8.1.1 ( OOS 5.1.7). I then unlock bootloader, flash twrp, flash vendor/firmware, wipe data, flash Omnirom but I get stuck into the omni loading screen. The phone does not load.

Okay, i'm not seeing anything about a Format operation there. Wipe does not equal Format. I've just finished setting up Omnirom 9 on my own OP5, so it does work. (Great ROM btw)
Backup everything from Internal Storage to your PC, including all the installation files. The following will wipe your storage!
1) Boot into TWRP
2) Wipe Menu, Advanced, Select all Partitions manually and Wipe
3) Wipe Menu, Format. (Type Yes when prompted)
4) Reboot Menu, Reboot Recovery
5) Copy Installation files from PC to Internal Storage
6) Install Menu, Queue up and install zips in the following order:
i) Vendor/Firmware
ii) ROM
iii) Gapps
7) Wipe Dalvik/Cache when prompted
8) Reboot
9) Set up and done.

The only difference between the two of us that i can see is that i flashed OOS 9.0.1 and booted into it once before doing the steps above.
Don't know if it's relevant but the Vendor/Firmware that i used was 9.0.1 also:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/11o0FxZ_rw5lhthGz8_iyYEXBt0dwiv3x
Make sure you nuke everything before starting. Wipe and Format everything. Move installation files across and follow steps.

I flashed OOS first and booted everything and I followed the steps and got everything right, but still I get stuck with a bootloop that does not load OmniROM.
Works fine for me;
Flashed the latest OxygenOS. Now you dont need to worry about flashing firmware later in the process.
Enabled unlocking the bootloader in developer menu.
Rebooted into bootloader and flashed the recovery image from clockworkx and booted into twrp recovery.
Wiped everything and formatted data as well.
Reboot recovery.
Flashed rom. I always use sideload but that should not matter. Dont flash anything else; first reboot into your working system.
When I touch reboot>power off button, TWRP is asking me to install TWRP
Should I Swipe to instaal TWRP app?
Booting is still working with Stock ROM, transferred Gapps & Custom ROM
Lenovo Recovery System Installed
Lets organize everything to someone that will help me
1. Installing TWRP
- When I typed the command <fastboot reboot> TWRP boots successfully, but when turn off Lenovo Recovery System boots again
2. Wipe data
- Which option do I need to select? Wipe cache, dalvic cache, system, data
- Can I just go to Install option and choose Custom ROM from device storage, without Wiping data first?
- If I select wipe data first it won't be erase files <Custom ROM & Gapps> from the actual OS?
Thanks !
