Update smg-550u att csc: ATT/XAA/CCT - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions & Answers

Good day. Please i need your guidance to update my s8+. I was able to use firmware science and sideload some updates but i am still way behind.
I am currently stuck on G955USQS5CRL1
and my csc is now ATT/XAA/CCT
I read that i can visit a Samsung affiliated store and they will update if for me. If this is done will i be able to finally update it myself. How about if i insert a tmobile sim card. Will that help? I don't mind losing all data on the device.
Any help will be appreciated.

How to make Volte work on Samsung S7 edge (Sprint) for Reliance Jio

Hi,
I am totally a newbie to Android, just moved from IOS, so please bear with me.
I am trying to make Reliance Jio sim work on my Samsung S7 edge (Sprint). Data is working just fine through Reliance jio sim on my mobile. But I am not able to activate Volte on mobile, so calls are not getting through. The Volte turn on/off tab is missing. I searched on the internet and found out that Sprint's network does not support Volte, so they have disabled the tab for it.
My model is SM-G635P
What is the best way out?? Do i have to root my phone??
Thanks in advance.
I am not aware if this will work with Sprint, Carrier locked versions are a little different, plus its Snap Dragon but this is what i did.. You need to change the CSC usually but yours being a sprint one, there will be some modifications for sure , I am pretty sure you wont have an INS CSC in your phone, so you might have to change to a stock US or UK one or maybe T Mobile. I would wait for an expert to tell you that for sure
This is for Reliance JIO Users - You dont need to flash your ROM, you can change your firmware to INS CSC and it works.
1) i used the Phone Info App (Download from the Google Play Store) and saw what CSC Codes were available for me to change to.
2) I downloaded a new firmware from Sam Mobile - You can google for them entering your model no - G-935fD, i am not sure if they are available here in XDA as well
3) My phone supported India CSC (You can see supported CSC's using the Phone Info App so i downloaded the India one it could be different for others.
4) I then downloaded ODIN and used the tuorial in this forum to flash my phone and change the CSC code.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SK3IMprKVQ this is the link with a step to step guide.
5) After that i factory reset my phone and downloaded the July Update Patch.
My phone after that has been able to make calls and i can see the VOLTE symbol, depending on the firmware it should either automatically come or you might have to manually enable it.
Hope this helps everyone else also. Factory reset usually helps and downloading the latest update too..
The method above will not work with Sprint Phones. Attempting it may brick your phone.
Activating VoLTE will mostly require some work at the root level. Hope someone who has knowledge about it can help you.

G935F To G935W8

I have a G935F in Canada.
After a lot of struggle, I finally got Samsung Pay (2.7.03) loading on the DBT fw, then switched to BTU w/o format. When I try to add a card, it says it not supported. But I know it is in the Canadian Samsung Pay early access.
My RBC app also won't let me add a credit card, with the devs saying it needs to be a Canadian device. So that's a secondary issue pressing this conversion.
So as much as I would love to stick to the fast updating BTU, I think I need to bite the bullet and get a Canadian firmware.
I've searched the forums, but I haven't found a solid answer on if it's possible or the process to take. Is it a matter of installing the whole firmware, or somehow just a Canadian CSC? I want to avoid root as I'm still on warranty. When I try the whole FW, I get a PIT error in Odin every time.
The main problem is I would like Samsung Pay with my CIBC credit card.
Any assistance or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
Compatibility wise there should be no problem to use W8 files on F though Odin of course recognises the model mismatch. And due to that you're out of luck without root.

Newbie from iPhone moved to android, got some questions please help me..

UPDATE:
I need an urgent help however.. I changed my csc to SPRINT from ATnT, using *#272*IMEI number# method. I kept changing to T mobile, and all, until I got stuck with SPRINT.
Now I tried the *#272*IMEI number# method and it won't let me do it with SPRINT CSC.
HELP please ( I just want to go back to ATnT or T mobile again..
Hi guys,
I just gave me iphone xs max to my wife since her iphone 7 is already too buggy and slow. Now that I moved to s10+, I love it and but the customization option is overwhelming me. Happy though that its customizable.
Then I realize 1 critical thing. I bought a snapdragon USA version of AT&T from local importer. I am located in Asia. When I looked at the software version, its only at "G975USQU1ASD3" with security patch, March 2019. I tried for 2 days now to get the OTA update and it just wont come. Saying that I already got the latest update.
Naturally I checked google and found so many updates, and one of them, night mode in camera, I really want. Now I am a newbie in all of these. My question is.. how do I get the non OTA update? I don't have a PC, but I might be able to use my work PC. I do have an micro SD card.
In summary:
1. Where to find the update files? the non OTA version
2. Is it doable without PC?
3. Can I just jump to the latest firmware update, or do I have to do it manually one by one?
4. Will it wipe my phone, because I spent hours customizing it before checking the problem.
Thank you very much if there's anyone willing to help me figuring things out.
regards,

1.You can download firmwares on sammobile.com for your model
2.You can use work PC but need get small software named Odin and samsung drivers for correct work
3.You not need install one by one you can flash directly to latest one but must use HOME_CSC and make backup with samsung app named smart switch which is already on phone if not you can get it on Google Play Store

To try and force a change of the csc power down your phone, remove the SIM card and boot up your phone without any SIM inserted. After the phone has completely booted up insert your SIM and you should get a message that the network settings are being updated.
I purchased an unlocked AT&T S10+ as well to use on T-Mobile. Since you don't actually have AT&T service I would very strongly recommend that you flash the U1 (unlocked) firmware. There are instructions for doing this in another XDA thread.
AT&T firmware is modded specifically for their messaging, network and WiFi services. Since I'm not an AT&T customer I got no OTA updates until I flashed the U1 firmware. Immediately after flashing the U1 firmware and booting up OTA updates were available to download and I receive OTA updates when they are available so there's no further need to manually flash updates using a computer.
The current U1 firmware has night mode for the camera and was just updated this week to the August security patch (which is good for Samsung).

Hi thank you very much for your help. I appreaciate it. However, as you can see from my opening post, I kinda did a mistake and locked myself out of AT&T now.. I am stuck with Sprint after changing CSC 3x feeling safe.. then Spint removed my ability to change CSC via *#272*IMEI#
:crying::crying::crying:
You shouldn't need to change the CSC using the dial code. If you cold start your phone without a SIM card then insert the sim after your phone has fully booted up you should get a message about your network settings updating.
I would also still recommend flashing the U1 unlocked firmware.

Hi thanks again for replying to me. I tried many times doing this but as soon as my SIM card got in, SPRINT OMADM took over.. I can't even get rid of the notification.. sigh..
This might help:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sp...-to-remove-sprint-omadm-notification-t3636264
That's apparently something annoying that's specific to Sprint.
To get rid of any US carrier stuff on your phone I would still suggest using the modified Odin (which can be found in the XDA firmware flashing threads for the S10+) and flash the U1 firmware version which is carrier free.

Root for Samsung Galaxy S7 AT&T (G930A) That is Updated to Date

I am trying to find someone or people who are able to walk me through how to root my Galaxy S7 AT&T SM-G930A Updated to the most recent android version available, and security patch is updated to newest available as well...
I tried to follow a guide on here that ended up bricking my phone, luckily I was able to use Odin to flash the stock firmware and fix it, but I'm too scared to try again without having actual reason to believe themethod works to date.
I will gladly be dropping a donation off to whoever is able to walk me through successfully rooting my Galaxy S7 as well. So if you can PM me or whatever and give me a working method, and walk me through it, after it successfully works, you will get a donation from me. PLEASE GUYS HELP. Lol

S8 Active Help (Baseband version is G892AUCS2AQL1)

Hello guys. As I do not live in the USA, i do not have a AT&T SIM and my phone never got any updates. Initially, it was on baseband version G892AUCU1AQG4. Till recently, I was stuck in this version. I managed to update to G892AUCS2AQL1 using links from a Russian forum. But, the SS-G892AUCS2AQL1-to-S2ARA1-UP.zip is corrupted and so I cannot update beyond this. I would be highly thankful if anyone could help me find a working copy of this file.
