wifi wont turn on and sim is not detected - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

well it all started when i flashed havoc os official then flashed evira 1.7 then used a kernel manager to change the governor to performance but while i was playing a game the wifi just turned off and it wont turned on again so i decided to go back to miui(maybe a dumb decision) but still sim and wifi wont turn on and i also noticed that the phone is kinda laggy so if anybody can help it would be much appreciated.

Wi-Fi Unreliable...

So, I've been noticing my phone has been going through a lot more battery recently and part of the reason I believe is due to my Wi-Fi disconnecting and not re-connecting at times. Even if I reenter the password it still won't connect at times. I am forced to turn the antenna completely OFF and then ON again to get it working at times.
I have installed Fresh 0.53 since rooting and haven't noticed any issues with it until recently. The only other thing I have done is tried out different Kernels from ffolkes. Right now I am running the undervolted version os his kernel. Could that have something to do with it or is it unrelated to the Wi-Fi?!
BTW, I have been running the latest versions of the radio and WiMax.
no troubles here when i run flipz or any other rom on wifi
im running baked snacks and get GREAT GREAT battery life
My WiFi is pretty unreliable as well. Im running stock OTA update that was supposed to turn on N. I still get terrible WiFi reception even when very close to router. I get a lot of hang-ups as well when browsing and usually have to refresh a website 5-6 times till it finally kicks in. Either I have a terrible router, or my EVO still has really bad WiFi.

Bug Report (Zip's ROM)

Hello All,
I'm really not sure if this a bug or setting adjustment. When the phone goes in the sleep mode, it will not wake at all and I have to pull the battery. This happens intermittently and there is not one app that it does it the most. I have Zip's 4.03 on my phone, but it has been doing it with all the Zip ROMs. I've searched dev forum and I can't seem to find anything, so it's probably something with my phone. I tried to make adjustments the performance settings with both the built in set cpu and the setcpu from the market and it still happens.
On this last update, I formatted data and dalvik cache and flashed the ROM in CWM and the aroma installer came up with no problems.
Again... love the ROM and don't kill the posting Newb. Just trying to help out.
Thanks
Eric

Im running the same as you and i haven't had a single reboot or it not waking up at all. Try this kernel and see if it makes a difference for you. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24214386&postcount=3
Shot of awesomeness v2-zip edition
ok...I followed all of the instructions and flashed the zip. I set the cpu at 1228/230. What is the best CPU settings with this kernel?

Another lock up
Hey em2drvr03,
I had another sleep lock up today. This time I noted what was going on with the phone when it happen for feedback. I was playing a radio station in the iheart radio app. My phone was in sleep for about 20 minutes when I tried to wake it. Even though I could not wake it, it was still playing the radio station with brief skips. My wifi was off and I was streaming on my 4G. My phone is responding better...it would sleep lock up more often on the old kernel.

To be honest i have never had any of those problems...i've been running zips 4.03 since it was released and no problems. I wish i knew what to tell you.
It's all good
It's fine. It's happening far less with the kernel update. Someone else mentioned it in Zip's Dev forum. They called it the "Sleep of death", so at least I'm not crazy...lol.

[HELP]High CPU usage issues and High battery consumption

So hello anybody seeing this thread and thanks for considering even reading this
so my phone now is acting crazy , this started to occur after i tried to return to the stock firmware but two things happened while installing the stock firmware
1st- i got an error copying file called "HIDDEN" error reason = size was too big so i removed it from the firmware file and installed it and it installed successfully then i restarted it to install twrp and format data from there so i wont lose my stuff on the phone and that leads to the second problem
2nd- i wasn't able to access any partition and i mean all of them [SYSTEM-DATA-CACHE] so my only solution was to change the file type and get it back to ext4 to kind of force them to be reformatted and that was successful too so i re-installed the firmware and then this problem arised
my phone's CPU usage was so high like 95% all the time and it was running on 2150mhz i think like all of the time and my battery was getting like killed in a matter of 2 hours, please have in your consideration that this was a freshly installed rom that i didn't even install any apps on it yet
so i thought maybe this firmware was bugged so i changed to NX's team s8 rom just to find out the same problem was happening again but the only difference is that when my screen is off it goes into deep sleep like normal but when i open the screen and unlock the phone the usage goes up again frome idle to 95%-100% so i thought maybe touch boost or CPU hotplug so i tried every hotplug avalaible even tried disabling them along with the touch boost but nope my 4 cores are all running and killing my battery so i thought maybe this rom too so installed linage os and RR just to find out the same problem was still there when the screen is off my phone could do like 14 hours easily on battery or more but when i open the screen it immediately goes to 95%-100% usage and my phone gets hot till like 70 degree so i changed the kernel too
so did anybody face something like this before or could at least tell me what's wrong and how can i fix it
and tell me if it could be like anything related to my phone's hardware like faulty hardware or something related to bootloader -modem etc.
please any response would be good and appreciated hope someone could help me

Why are all CPU cores of my R2P running on full clock speed even when on Idle?

I recently noticed a very severe battery drain on my R2P a few days back. I am running MIUI 7.5.2.0 stock with root and TWRP 3.2.1. When I would go to sleep with about 60% battery I luckily woke up to the alarm and the battery level was 1% in the morning. And the phone was warmer than usual. I checked out some stats and I came to know that the phone's cores were running on 1209 MHz the whole time rather than being on some lower frequency like 200 MHz or deepsleep. Due to this even while I use WhatsApp or even right now on Chrome Browser the phone is hot AF. I tried many things including factory reset from the TWRP, stock recovery and MIUI settings menu, flashed different versions on lollipop MIUI and and a custom ROM but nothing seemed to work. Before it would easily scale down to lower clock frequencies even when not in deep sleep. This high CPU load is making it so hot that right now I cannot use it for anything leave alone playing games I cannot use document viewers and other simple stuff because it's too hot to handle. What should I do now. Is this mere software problem or something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a fix for Lollipop and WiFi sleep ?

I tried a lot of rom's, from Android 4 to 7. A lot of them are great. The best rom's that works for me are Lollipop rom's. They are fast, stable. Such as:
cm-12.1-20151026-UNOFFICIAL-ms013g-ver_AIO-3.zip
cm-12.1-20151107-UNOFFICIAL-ms013g.zip
cm-12.1-20160613-UNOFFICIAL-ms013g.zip
The only bug that I have with all lollipop rom's is that, wifi will go to sleep if I loose range on the wifi and come back. If I leave my home, out of wifi range, and come back. Phone will automatically connect to my wifi, but it will fall a sleep after 1min or so. So I need to restart my phone, phone will connect automatically to my wifi again and it will stay connected until I leave my home again. So, I need to restart my phone every time when I'm connecting on same wifi.. or, my wifi will fall a sleep in the stand by.
This is the only issue with lollipop. 4, 6 and 7 rom's dot have these problems.
Is there any way to fix this ?
Use motion base rom its awesome and stable.. im using it for 1 year.. plus it got the highest antutu bench mark i test all rom its score is 28000+ the other rom in 24000 below... the rom has no fc and no bugs ;all sim are working properly and as well as gps...
Im using Noble rom 2.1 rooted with magisk...
