Flash stock recovery?

Is there a way to flash the stock recovery while retaining my custom ROM?
I've been having battery problems after installing community ROMs which were installed via CWM or TWRP. Basically my battery would last ~36 hours, but would go from 100% to 1% in 12 hours and sit at 1% for the next 24 hours. After a bunch of tests, if figured out its actually caused by having a custom recovery, not the custom ROM. I arrived at this conclusion by flashing CM10 ROM (had battery issue), then back to stock ROM (still had battery issue), then a full stock restore including the recovery (no battery issue.) I've repeated many combinations of these types of flashes using both CWM and TWRP, both cause this same issue to the same extent.
Basically I want to restore the stock recovery while keeping CM10. Since I don't use CWM/TWRP often and can flash it if I do, I'd like to just remove it.
If you have the factory recovery, just flash it the same way you flashed a custom recovery. If you don't have it, you can find it in the factory firmware and use fastboot to flash it.

Thanks. I didn't realize it was just sitting in the root directory of the file at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2017200 Will update after a full battery drain and charge in case others have this problem.

This does in fact fix my 1% battery problem. So bizarre that a recovery would change the way my battery meters.

Flashed wrong kernel. No touch anymore?

Hey guys,
I have a little problem with my new OP2.
I unlocked the bootloader and rooted etc.
I installed Paranoid Android and I wanst sure which kernel works on it.
So I tried flashing one for CM13 and one for OOS3, but both of them wouldnt work.
Now Im trying to get back to stock or atleast flash the boot.img from the Paranoid ROM.
I can boot, access the recovery and bootloader. I flashed different boot.imgs (Stock and Paranoid) and recoverys. But none of them helped.
The touchscreen wont react at all. If I boot, if I am in the recovery. It just wont work. Hardware button seems to be fine though.
Any ideas how to fix that?
Try wiping system partition and flash the PA ROM again (and Gapps of course) and it will restore system and kernel back to PA default.
If touch still doesn't work, then you'll probably have to wipe userdata partition as something you installed with the kernels not supporting other than official latest CM13 sources is messing with your system.
You need to flash full stock using fastboot from unbrick guide.
Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk
google megaunbrick guide oneplus2 and follow that!
didn't got your logic behind flashing custom kernel that too on paranoid android, I can understand that for cm13 as the battery life sucks there but pa easily gives 6+ hrs of sot which any other rom or even a custom kernel can't even come closer to it in my personal experience.
meaning you can try to flash the whole rom through fast boot or use unbrick guide to go full stock.

HELP! restoring stock rom and kernel

hey guys. i am running my mi a1 with franco kernel and with liquid remix- latest version. i want to go back to stock everything. if i will use miflash tool to flash stock rom and lock the bootloader, it will also install the stock kernel as well? and if not, how do i install the stock kernel? thanks alot.
Flash tool will replace everything including kernel and lock the bootloader. Go ahead and flash..
Btw what makes you go back to stock?
I want it because of the battery reason. I installed the franco kernel only for the battery life and it doesnt seem to make too much... Around 5 hrs to me either way
It will also restore recovery, if you flashed it. It restores pretty much everything. Except persist partition.
Whatever govenor did you try? I use conservative and het good resultaten in combi with nap time.

Custom kernel flash gone wrong

I flashed a custom kernel for my custom rom(unofficial lineage os 16).I've checked that it's for android 9 like the rom and the flash went fine. After flash and reboot it has been stuck on the battery charging indicator. Even after I disconnected the charger it's completely frozen. What do I do now?
