[Problem] Hybrid Problems with Network Signal Guru App - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

Greetings,
Before I start asking the questions, let me introduce myself first. I've been using lavender since ±8-month ago. I've installed custom ROMs so many times and already know the procedure. I've also explored the famous network band locking on the Qualcomm devices, because band 41 really bad in my area and i need to lock it at the band 03 for a stable connection. By using the Network Signal Guru (link), i've been able to do something like that.
Yesterday, i bought a new Micro SD card. I didn't know that this phone uses hybrid on the first slot, so i need to change my sim card to the second slot, and micro sd on the first one. After changing the sim card, the Network Signal Guru CAN NOT lock the bands anymore, i've changed ROMs a couple times, also tried formatting the data, also tried to clear forcing. still no luck. On the settings, the phone read the SIM card at the second slot, maybe this is the problem since Network Signal Guru wasn't able to lock the second slot without pay the "Ultimate Feature". I am just a High-school student who doesn't have a job, so i can't afford to buy the feature.
Today, I got an idea. Instead of buying the feature, maybe i can make a changes inside the system so that the phone scan the second slot as the first slot.
Or maybe, i can make the dual SIM feature to be disabled (Source Thread) but i think this method will disable the second slot instead of the first one.
If anyone know how or know where are these files is, i hope you can tell me by replying this thread or contact me at telegram
Thanks for the attention, Peace~

SOLUTION
Use Cellular-Pro or QCT Modemcaps app instead of NSG.

[Q] HD2 O2-UK only works in GSM

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me.
Recently i have noticed my phone keeps losing signal, often seeing no bars are even ! , i have not performed any recent hacks / mods it just started happening.
If i change the base band from AUTO to GSM i get signal , if i select WCDMA i get ! , i am assuming that since its default at AUTO that when its switching to WCDMA its messing up (altho i really would like advice if this is true?)
i have softreset and hardreset and currently have no 3rd party cabs etc installed on my o2 stock rom yet the problem still exists.
any help people ..
How old is your sim card? I had a similar problem a couple of years back, turns out the older type sim cards aren't capable of doing 3G, walked in the store told them the problem, promptly given a new sim card, 2 hours later all up and running again.
Never used the stock rom but may also be worth checking in comm manager, there may be a toggle switch for turning 3g on or off
originally last year when i got hd2 i had an old sim which was replaced, my stock rom doesnt have the toggle (im sure i can turn it on with a tweak) , however the problem isnt switching it on or off .. the problem is when its on my phone wont get a signal and it used to work

[Q] HD2 Losing signal !!!

Hi everyone, i hope i'll find an answer cause i can't understand what's going on with my HD2 !
My hd2 keep losing signal, at first i taught it was a radio related thing, so i flashed a 2.12 radio (was on 2.15.40), but the problem is still there. So i decided to change the rom, cause the problem showed up after i installed a android sense rom (this one) i installed i miui stable rom, and still have it.
Here, i decided that the problem maybe came from my sim card so tried my wife's sim card (same operator) and another sim card (different operator) and it worked just fine, no losing signal at all.
So I've changed my sim card with a new one and the problem still occurs!!!!
Decided to flash a windows phone 7 rom, (just to be sure) and problem still there.
I can't understand what's wrong, i have this problem just with my sim card !!! any help please

Well, the problem can occuor from many sources. Older series of HD2 has a slight problem with reading some of the SIM cards. Did you tried to download and re-flash the radio rom into your hd2 because i have had the same problem with my HD2 as i have had O2 sim card which worked fine and 3G sim did not work well in my phone. I re-flashed the radio rom and it did work and i got the stable and normal signal, also you need to check if you use Android if MAGLDR 1.13 is also installed as this keeps the communication with Android ROM if you use NAND android. So let's try to download and re-flash the latest radio from here: http://www.multiupload.co.uk/QP0IWGY42F and flash it into your HD2 to see first if the problem occours. You can read about flashing your radio here:

If you still stuck with your phone, do not hesitate to PM me and i will find a solution for you.
Hi Iceman,
Thnx for your answer,
i did flash the lastest radio, magdlr is installed of course. Now i'm still on windows phone 7 and still have this problem. As i explained before, i have this problem only with my sim card even if i changed it with a new one. Other sim cards work's fine. However i'll give it a try with the link you give me and see if it changes anything.
Thank you again, and i'll get back to you soon
@ loupio
Please reply if the solution of Iceman helps.
Thanks
Nothing hlped i did every imagining solution but still have the problem
it could be caused by a hw problem (bent pins), if you are not scared to open your phone you should try the solution on this tread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1190180
Please let us know if it worked.
PS: Don't forget to say thanks!
All ready done that but the problem still there :s
I've noticed that when I hold the phone and put my hand over the bottom 2/3rds of the phone (where the antenna is) my signal drops by 2-3 bars. If I am in a location with poor reception and I hold my hand over the antenna, I will lose my signal altogether. Next time you are in a location that you think you should have a signal, but it drops, just hold the phone with your fingertips. Hopefully that will fix it.

I have similar experience and it's so disturbing
I wants to change a new sim card from my operator to eliminate the cause from my old sim card(>5 yrs.), because on my moto k1, the signal seems a little better in same condit.
I have the same issue however it hopefully was solved by the bent pin issue, i just did it now, before i would hold my phone and loose 2-3 bars, now i hold my phone with both hands and cant seem to lose any signal bars.
The problem is not loosing 2 or 3 bars my problem is that it loose's the network and show's 'no service' on the status bar. The network won't comeback till i do a reboot or activate/desactivate airplan mode
Magldr or clk

[Q] Loosing data connection hard

Hi all, this is my first post or thread, i came here cause i heard from ppl this is best site for asking questions about cell phones, i started reading allot this forum and wow did i enter the other world i really like and wanna participate in.
Srry for little intro and lets get back to topic. So i got my first "normal" android and got trouble with it. I am using Samsung galaxy s5 g900F (european) factory unlocked and T-mobile as carrier with 4.4.2 kitkat. I have a big problem with a data connection that keeps going off every 30sec to 5 min if i use option to search and auttoconnect on LTE/WCDMA/GSM option. I read forum but no1 is mentioning this model as problematic 1 so now i post thread about.
Does any1 know what could be problem and how to solve it. Sometimes my data connection comes back and sometimes it doesnt and i have to switch type of network to get back again online. All other options that don't include LTE auttoconnect work just fine, i tried to get another SIM from carrier but same problem, i tried to get another Phone since i work in hardware firm and still same problem on another device, both were same models.
I still didn't put any ROMs but i really consider doing it maybe l8r on, it is stock version.
Pls be genttle since this is first time i post, maybe i did it on wrong place but i did read rules and everything and i think i did it on right place.
Ty in advance.
I did have a slightly similar problem years ago - when in roaming my phone could not connect to anything. What helped was a change of simcard for a new model - after that all was good.
Since you did try your SIM on a different phone (same 900F?) I would advise you to try: first on a completely different brand and phone model - if you can.
If this does not solve your problem do shake your service provider a bit - they could have supplied you with two faulty SIM cards in a row - that can happen. Otherwise - maybe there is a stupid limitation in your service plan which is causing this. There is no - to my knowledge - ready answer to the problem you have described.
Best of luck and if you do solve it come back and post - it will be very useful to lots of people for sure
Cheers!
Too many variables. You haven't observed enough of a pattern yet or tried enough things to narrow it down a bit. It could just as easily be carrier side issues as a bug in the firmware not negotiating a new connection if the LTE signal is lost.
A number of people were having data disconnect issues and that was addressed in the 4.4.3 /4.4.4 update. So that is one option to consider. And you could open a support ticket with your carrier. That is hit and miss as to results, but sometimes tickets actually resolve issues.
There are also a number of apps that may mitigate or possibly even solve your issue. Have a look at 4G LTE Switch and LTE Discovery.
.
Will try it today. Thanks for the help. Really appreciate it.

Problem with my nexus 6p

I think this problem surfaced ever since i downloaded the beta update for Android 7 on my Nexus 6P device. My signal coverage and internet speed ( LTE/4G/3G) started fluctuating on its own and now the condition is so bad that i haven't found any signal connectivity for the network that i use even though other users of the same network in my area are having connectivity. I tried to insert that sim on another device and it worked just fine. I have taken every measure possible, restarting, doing factory reset, downgrading to Android 6 etc etc, i just wanna confirm if there is something else i could do or giving it to the service centre is the only option left?
I cant even tell if the SIM card slot is broken because the notification bar does not show me the error that the SIM is missing or whatever, it is reading that there is a SIM card there, i'm just not getting the connectivity...
HELP ME! I LOVE MY PHONE WAAY TOO MUCH!! I DONT WANNA LOOSE IT FOR SUCH A LONG DURATION!

[H870] Can't turn on radio signal - no cell reception

Hi everyone, my H870 has seemingly given up on me out of the blue since about two days ago and refuses to connect to mobile networks, or even to search for them for that matter (trying to manually search for networks give back an error). I'm afraid the issue might be hardware-related which would be a shame as the phone is otherwise fine. I've tried changing ROMs (going from and old AEX AOSP to LineageOS, with full wipe) as well as kernels (Melina reborn for AOSP), to no avail.
Switching sim cards also didn't change anything, the sim is detected and it asks for PIN but then no network, which leads me to think it's a radio chip issue. Activating radio in the *#*#4636#*#* menu doesn't prompt the usual restart, and auto-untoggles if i go into another app then come back to it... IMEI is fine and not corrupted.
I'm really close to giving up on this phone and buying another one, but I thought maybe you guys would have another idea of something to try that could work before I do that. Couldn't find any similar threads on that matter but please point me in the right direction if this issue has popped up before !
Thank you in advance for your help.
EDIT : Flashed original firmware (H87030a_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0829.kdz), to no avail... I believe this is the end of the road for this phone and judging by the lack of answers you guys do as well haha
H873, should not have reset. Now i dont know too
