Third Party Launcher - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

Hi! Lately, I've been using POCO Launcher. But it seems that it consume too much battery. I already customize the battery saving of my apps but my battery keeps on draining. Before using POCO Launcher, my battery can reach 1 and a half day, considering using data and playing Mobile Legends, but after installing the launcher, my phone can't barely reach a day. Any suggestions or any third party launcher that can I use?
I'm using Global ROM. Locked Bootloader not rooted. Thanks!

Hi. I use lawnchair (i use beta version).
Everything is ok for me with this launcher.

[Q] gingerbread + home replacement question

Hello,
I have just installed android on my HTC HD2 (nexus hd 2 gingerbread) and have some general questions:
1) is it advised to install a task killer? Or does it only use more battery for restarting several services constantly?
2) I've been checking out launcher pro and I like it. Is it possible to install launcher pro and actually uninstall the gingerbread launcher? I remember from old superD roms on other devices that they advised this for saving battery,...
3) Does launcher pro use significant more resources (and thus battery life) then the standard launcher?
-> Sorry if these questions should be posted on another forum. I thought some could be HTC HD2 specific.
thanks!

Nobody who knows something about Android will advise you to use a task killer, since you have android 2.1 on your device. The internal task management works very well and you'll never have problems with less RAM or such things.

It doesn't matter which launcher you are using, every launcher works well. You can install Launcher Pro like every other program. If you want to uninstall the stock launcher, you need a rooted build and the program "Titanium Backup". With Titanium Backup, you can also uninstall apps, that are integrated into the ROM, but be aware, if you uninstall a built in app, there's no way to get these apps back (some apps you can reinstall, but it's complicated) without reflashing the ROM.

As i said, every launcher is nearly the same, it doesn't matter which one you are using.

[Q] Close all running apps?

I know how to "force stop" running applications, but is there a way to close all running applications at once? I get tired of checking the weather, KNOWING I pressed "exit" and yet still see that stupid app running in the background. It's annoying especially when you've got 3 or 4 things that never close (Silk, weather channel, amazon video)
I hate having apps run in the background. (Besides the ones required to be on, of course)
Use a task manager, like Gemini App Manager.
Thanks, Gemini is even available on the Amazon app store. I'll give it a whirl tonight.
I think these apps running in the background are killing my battery life. I used to get 2 days without a charge, now I've gotta charge it every day.

Wow. I do use mine heavily for games, videos, etc but I'm hoping that with this app it'll help. Alternatively maybe something like JuiceDefender might help?
i use go launcher - in the app drawer you can switch to 'running apps' and tap on 'close all'. but it seems some apps are a kind of service - they start again ...

what is best launcher for Gionee e7

Hi bros,
what is best launcher for Gionee e7?
I used stock launcher and I'm testing google now launcher, but I think it's not best
For me, Nova Launcher, it is fast

I've been using Nova for a long time, it was an obvious chioice for E7, too.
Thing is, I've no idea how deeply is this NAVIlauncher integrated with Amigo, so for the moment I froze the NAVI Launcher, but I'm afraid to do same thing for NaviKeyguard.
Question is - can I completely uninstall the original NAVI Launcher, and is NaviKeyguard a part of it and should I uninstall this, too?
I have froze navi launcher too, I like to freeze instead uninstall, in case that something go wrong with nova still there is another launcher i can use.

OK, you would be right here, but a frozen launcher will not take over in this situation. With Nova broken, you're unable to unfreeze the stock one, so freezeing and uninstalling is the same thing here.
I guess it doen's hurt me to leave it, plenty of space on the storage - I think I iwll unfreeze it then.
What about that NaviKeyguard thing - is this a part of previous launcher, can I freeze it, too? What is it?
I froze navi because in some situations it reload itself and change The launcher, that is my reason.
About navikeyguard, i froze it too in The beginning, but i realised that The lock screen had problems, so i unfroze it again. Now its Ok, navi frozen, keyguard unfrozen.
Hope it help you.

Thanks man - that's important info. I experienced that on my old W910 phone - very annoying thing.
The best Mi+Launcher_1.1.5. Support for gestures, very light, no lib file in apk.

Did i miss an update? (Leeco Le S3 X626)

So i've been reading for a bit and apparently there was an update that added an app drawer to Leeco phones (someone correct me if i'm wrong) but i can't find the system update option on my phone at all and i've looked everywhere.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
EDIT: Did some additional searching and it seems i have a shop rom (i have google apps and no system update option and zero chinese bloatware).
So for anyone that comes across this thread, you can't update unless you go through update.zip.
That's bad. I just got this phone and I was suprised that I don't have the bloatware launcher, but Google Now. Also I can't find any system updater in options. Seems like I have the same thing, which is both a plus and minus. And do you have a problem with custom launchers? Google Now is a poop and when I installed Lawnchair, I couldn't remove the last app I opened from the multitasking. Specifically it appeared in one "window" with the launcher so I couldn't "kick it out". I got back to Google Now, but I hate it. Do you have the same problem?
(Lol, such a long post)
Haven't actually tried a different launcher, i hear Nova is good though, it might be worth it to try.

Sorry for such a late reply. Finally moved to a custom launcher (Microsoft Launcher) and it has the same issue with the last app staying open. So i make sure to always keep the dialer/contacts app open as it seems like the least performance/battery heavy app to keep running. Annoying, but way way better than the launcher the phone came with that didn't even have an app drawer.

android 10, one ui 2 - Google Now?

anyone know if there's a way to get Google now (or discover or whatever it's called now) instead of the bixby home while still using gestures given that none have the third party launchers work correctly yet with them?
I definitely don't mind using the one UI launcher I just really want Google now.
I have had the same as you have not been able to get my Google now working since I got on Android 10 I use bixby only for certain things like turning on GPS and Bluetooth and things like that I want Google for everything else
It's work just not all the time I have to scream at my phone for it to work.

I am using Nova Pro and it works fine. They said that gestures weren't working but I enabled them in Nova and they work fine.
