Hey guys, just received the new Tab A 2019 version.
In the specs the CPU it comes with is 7904 but my shows 7885 via CPU-Z app. Is this fine or should I do something about it?
As I compared via chipset models, there's no much difference, can say that they're the same.(100mhz difference)
hi ! it's good to see someone so attentive and careful.
Exynos 7885 is a slightly better processor though it was released in Jan. 2018, this earlier SoC supports 2.2 GHz Cortex-A73 cpu and the newer Exynos 7904 supports the same Arm Cortex A73 processor with " speed " up to 1.8 GHz.
Both SoC also sport Arm Cortex A53 and the latter CPU clock works at same frequency ( 1.6 GHz )
Eventually factories for Galaxy Tab A devices ran out of more recent processors when manufacturing that lot ? : )
would you be so kind running a test instead ? while adding / side-loading any .apk of your choice however with " ARMv8-A " arch ( architecture. ) We have issues yet and with any ARMv8-A .apk file ( android .apk package ) won't complete install and only armeabi V7A packages will complete that install procedure of a package manager .
we also noticed... our Galaxy Tab A model ( 10.1" 2019 LTE style ) lags whenever displaying recent apps screen and on apps exit too ( pressing home button. )
we 'd like to investigate more about this lagging , we understand Tab A 2019 SoC supports 64 bits architecture however we can't run tests on what kernel supports nor we can test those other software " elements " may reduce performance.
take care,
marc

The exynos 7904 is the undercloaked version of exynos 7885 ,samsung is cheating its customers!!!!

Just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 internatiional version with Exynos 5 a few days back.
According to the SYSTEM TUNER App my SGS 4 is using ARM Cortex-A7 core whether i run cpu demanding apps like large games or i do low cpu demanding tasks like web browsing.
Help..!!!
if it has lcd instead amoled, its possible that a7 is only used

ok is there any aap by which I can see which core is being used

thanks :good:
as i know every frequency higher than 600MHz = A15 cores
install cpu spy and post pic after some use

Lol do you really think that a quad arm a7 would score the high numbers you see in benchmarks? System tuner is not optimized to check for other cores as well I'm just guessing here
Swyped from another galaxy
Samsung has just announced an enhanced version of its Exynos 5 Octa chipset.
Currently the Octa chipset is available only on the I9500 Galaxy S4 flagship.
The second generation Exynos 5 Octa might be called Exynos Evolved and it will be more powerful, enhanced Exynos 5 Octa".
Speculation calls for the new chip to be the Samsung Exynos 5420 and will feature a higher clock speed along with improved optimization for the 8 integrated cores.
Stay tuned for more news next week:highfive:
They really shouldn't call it octa cores and it doesn't have a solid 8 cores. It has a 4x2 core structure.. With two solid four core processors, not one eight core one.
Wrong forum,It's galaxy S3 forum section,Exynos 4 not 5.

It has 8 cores inside it, might as well call it octa

Agreed. Read here The HMP processing does require all the 8 cores available online.
Misconception #6: Yes the CPU is a true 8-core processor. It's just not being used a such in its initial software implementations

The to-be-announced new processor is the 5420, it's not a new revision of the 5410. It has the same target clocks as the 5410 but with a properly working CCI to be able to use GTS, and the GPU is replaced with a new generation Mali T62X instead of the SGX 544. It also has some other miscellaneous updates like VP9 encoder/decoder. It'll debut in the new Chromebook this fall.I already know the differences. In any case - it's not useful in regard to the 5410.

Hi guys,
I am going to buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 soon. However the variant which is available to me is the N900 with the Exynos 5420 processor.
The thing is that, I am a bit confused about the GP. It is running a Mali-T628 MP instead of the Adreno 330 on the N9005 models. Will I notice a visible difference in gaming? Is the Mali that bad against the latest Adreno.
Also, do you think that the HMP patch that Samsung hinted at, to unleash the true 8 cores might affect the GPU performance later on?
The processor is the only thing that is stopping me from getting this variant. Please guys, help me out on this.

Adreno 330 is so good but
Mali in note3 is Octa GPU and clocked higher than adreno 330 (u can find and compare by wikipedia)
both of them are so powerful however adreno shows more score in graphic benchmark but it s not that high but cpu in exynos is about 2000scores more than snapdragon (in antutu benchmark)
anyway u won't lose anything if buy snap or exynos both of them are awesome

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
What is this, i read everywhere that the Tegra X1 i an octa core with 4x a57 and 4x a53 cpus, yet i received the console today and all apps report it as being octacore, only seeing/using the a57 cores and not the a53 cores. to all of it it seems like nviidia has changed their page so that it reflects the shield tv to be quadcore???
http://shield.nvidia.com/android-tv/shield-androidtv-vs-appletv-vs-roku-vs-firetv
are other people seeing this as well (for instance if you check with aida64 or with 3dmark), perhaps firmware blocked with new firmwares or is the hardware in the newer consoles actually inferior to the older ones?
I've only ever seen the Shield advertised as quad core even if the SoC is 8 core
Hello want to change my aunt and I am in big trouble
My choices are an Android device based on MTK 8127A from ATOTO but that come with 2 GB of RAM or a regular one based on PX 5 which come with 4 GB of RAM.
I understand that the MTK car goes devices are a little bit rare
So what to choose:
ATOTO with a MTK PROCESSOR and 2 GB of RAM, pretty good support and rom updates or a PX 5 ?
Which is faster and more stable?
Thank you

From what i have heard, MediaTek has better reputation than Rockchip. Which one is more stable / faster depends on how the SoC is integrated into the platform, how the Software Governers control the clock rate of the SoC. So this is difficult to answer strictly based on the SoC chip itself.
SoC Chip: MTK 8127A
Soc-based Quad-core 1.5Ghz Cortex A7 CPU
GPU ARM Mali-450 MP4 .
System Version: ATOTO AICE OS 9.4, which is developed & customized based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS;

RAM: SAMSUNG DDR3 4 GB

And A72 Core is a lot better than A53, and A53 is a little bit better than the very old Cortex A7
I agree with @mum1989 that A72 and A53 CPU cores have much better specifications than the A7. If the applications you run on the head unit can take advantage of the ARMv8 instruction set or if the workload can be distributed across the cores, then PX6/PX6 SoC may well perform better than MTK8127A. On the other hand, in my day-to-day use of ATOTO A6 Pro which uses MTK8127A, I have never observed it to be slow or stutter or otherwise show signs that older A72 Core was limiting the end-user experience.
