Snap/Insta audio too fast - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

My audio on snap/insta is too fast compared to the video (around 2x the speed) and sounds garbled.
Whatsapp and camera app audio is fine.
Any rom devs had this issue? I am currently stuck on fixing it

Low latency audio in Gingerbread

http://www.engadget.com/2010/12/06/android-2-3-sdk-revealed-gingerbread-improvements-called-out/
Finally -- low latency audio. This will result in:
- better audio in games
- better audio in recording software
- and most importantly: multitrack audio applications!
HURRAY!
Hell to the yeah! This is what I've been waiting for! Can't wait to get music applications that are at least on par with iOS ones on Android! I hope they get to working on porting apps like Nanostudio soon!
Does this mean the sound recording will finally be improved? I have it when I take some video shots and the whole video is screwed up by the bad sound.

I don't think this will help with the mic sensitivity. But hey -- who knows, maybe it will.
Great news

Stock 4.4.2 G2 - Video problems

Hi guys, brand new G2 D802 owner here Still stock & unrooted, but I've already noticed there are some camera mods. Still quality is pretty good, but the video... umm, I mean it's not bad, but the fps drops are just so bad! No matter in what resolution or at what fps I record, at darker places the fps drops pretty badly. Kind of helped switching to 60fps, record a second, switch back to 30fps and there are no framedrops! Even though the scene is pretty dark, but the fps is constant. But on the other hand, sometimes you need to record darker places, even if there are fps drops, so it's kind of uncomfortable.
Second problem - the video audio is pretty quiet. The quality is really nice (in comparison with the G Pad's horrible audio recording quality), but it seems pretty quiet. With stock Camera app and the XCam too.

You can try to root your phone, use XCam with Advance Driver.

If you are currently using a rom that has the advanced driver (ask in your rom's thread, not here) you will choose the 3rd link.

Well, I'm fully stock, just rooted.

I've tryed the advanced XCam on my stock rooted rom and haven't noticed anything (even though this advanced one isn't working well because UHD videos have terribly low bitrate and definitely aren't UHD). The stills are good quality, but the video is just meh... I really hate that fps drop while the camera switches to high exposure.
Or maybe if you could recommend me the best camera apps / mods for best video and stills... I've heard Jishnu's Camera V3.5 is great, but I can't find a single download link and it's thread is closed a long time.
//Sorry for DP

Sound during video recording on the main back camera

Hey all!
Can you please compare the sound you actually pick up on the zuk to the any other phone you have when shooting a video?!
I mean the sound of the object you are shooting and not your own voice!
I tried video recording a song on the TV for my son!
On my zuk the sound looked very muffled and low compared the the sound i captured on the note 4 during video recording!
It's so low to the extent that I thought that the back mic (between camera and flash) is closed by something or not working at all!
Can anyone confirm? Did anyone notice it?

Yep, same here. Sound level during video recording is waaaay too low. Also tried sound recording app, same issue.
Same problem here. Thing I do when I made a video, I transcode it and boost the audio levels up. But yeah this should actually not have to do done. I hope this gets fixed in a new firmware update.

Weird sound while recording video

Hi! I've been using my S7E since March 2017. Recently, it has started doing noises while recording in 4k and other resolutions. It's like a fly noise, like if some mechanism into the camera was moving to focus. The thing is if I turn video stabilization ON the noise dissappears (I suspect it's the OIS, but on 4k and QHD video stabilization is not available, only in 1080p and lower). The phone also makes noise if I shake it (that doesn't bother me because apparently that's pretty common), even when the camera app is recording, it only stops if I activate video stabilization. It wouldn't be a trouble if it only was like this, because the noise isn't too loud. The trouble is that the phone mics capture that sound pretty loud and ruins audio in videos. I use zero camera mod, if you need it I can upload an audio clip with the sound.
Edit: I've just tried with my father's S7 standard, it does the click when shaked, but it does not make noise while recording
Edit2: I've just checked and it doesn't happen with QHD 30 fps, but it still happens with UHD, if I move the phone while recording on QHD there's no noise, but if I do it even just a bit in UHD the sound is there, is like if the Optical Image Stabilizer was trying to do it's job and it couldn't

Video quality

Your friends are never going to believe what you did. The only way to prove it to them is with that video you took. Rate this thread to express how videos shot on the Nokia 7 Plus come out. A higher rating indicates that videos are smooth (and not choppy) and that auto-focus works very well, and that the camera adjusts quickly to different lighting conditions while recording.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Auto focus is amazing, dynamic range is also good. Slow motion looks phenomenal. It is stable if you have good enough hands
Here are some things that are disappointing me a lot:
1) only the stock camera is capable to use the OZO audio system.
2) Much worse, the port of GCam I am using will not even record a decent mono audio track - - the volume is too low and there is some noise.
3) Stock camera at 1080p has an audio/video out of sync problem. Not much, but it's annoying. GCam doesn't have this issue.
4) Not directly related to video: there is no stock audio recording app being able to use the OZO audio system. Stereo recording with other apps produces artifacts and it's not usable.
One of the reasons I bought this phone was the 3 mics and the advanced audio system, but so far I am not happy with it. I really hope Nokia will address these issues in future updates.
I don't like the 1080p because it's very cropped in (due to EIS). 4k looks very shaky if you don't concentrate on holding your hands very still. Filming while moving looks very jittery. Quality of both video and audio is great though.
For my quality is not good, it have a lot of noise and the EIS is the worst that i have ever seen. Even the gcam EIS makes the videos barely unusable if you are moving. Not even talk about low ligth. My moto x style from 3 yearos ago is at least 10 times better. I am really dissapointed with this thing of the phone.
EIS in 1080p mode is forced and no way of turning it off (Stock cam app)
awesome
video quality is pretty good
