You just need to wipe your device fully in recovery before reverting to stock.

problem
hey !
I have the same problem, but... I can't acces to the recovery :/ i tried to install CWM (with Freegee) over Team win recovery and... boot loop :
The rom 4.2.2 flex was gone, no boot animation
-When i pres volum down + power, i have the reset menu, but after that, there is a black screen and it's written at the top left "started usb_start Fastboot Mode ()"
Please, i need your help, i'm so afraid !!
Thx !
So a quick search didn't come up with anything, so here we go. My edge is running the stock ROM (tmobile) with adoptable storage enabled. About a week ago (had the phone for about 3 months) when I would take the phone off the charger it was on the pin to unlock screen. I enter my pin, the device decrypts and everything is fine until the next morning - rinse and repeat. I turned off fast charging thinking it may be a heat issue - no change. Then I tried cable charging (fast charge still turned off) and to my surprise, no reboot. Anyone have an idea as to what may be causing the reboot?

Can you boot to the system somehow? It is security feature in Android and you can disable it in settings.

Hi Guys,
I had tried to root my brand new Mi A1 after success unlocked.
Now, after reboot, he is still going to Fastboot and did not boot in AndroidOne.
At first, after pull the power button, I see the screen for unlock secure. The I see the horizontal Google Line, with the mi Logo on the button. After that, the Fastboot mode is coming. Thats all
What can I do, to boot into Android?

Try a Hard Rest
1. Switch off you're phone.
2. Press and hold VOLUME UP and Power Key
3. When MI LOGO appears release them.
4. This is MI Recovery
5. Wipe & Reset
6. For option WIPE ALL DATA select YES.
7. All data is DELETED including the apps you had previosuly installed. NOW REBOOT to complete the operation.

OMG...... I DIDNT SEE YOUR REPLY... CAUSE I HAVE BEEN SPENDING THE WHOLE NIGHT AND DAY TRYING TO FIGURE THIS STUFF OUT AND IF I SHOULD RETURN THE PHONE OR NOT LUL... SOOO SORRY FOR THE CAPS, BUT I FINALLY FOUND OUT BUT NOT FROM THIS THREAD.... i searched every thing far and wide on the net and especially this forum..
my GOD WAS IT HARD... I had to downloand mi flash pro onto my computer, i also had to do all those other things of trying to root unroot, couldnt update either cause i was not even in the phone to be able to turn on the usb option... but finally after a pc restart and launching mi flash pro and using recovery, then hard boot to mi assist then plugging the phone on to the usb connected to the pc, that was finally when the options shows up to flash the note 7 of version 10.2.1.0 to the latest firmware of 10.3.5.0 was i able to factory reset and since my google account was still linked to my mi account i was able to log in that way....
AGAIN GOD DAMN THIS TOOK ME OVER 13 HOURS STRAIGHT TRYING TO FIGURE THIS THING OUT, I REALLY THOUGHT THAT I BRICKED AND WOULD NEED TO SEND IT BACK:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
xiaomi has one of the worst softwares ever, but considering what can be done **** it dood....
