Fingerprint And Battery Issue With Havoc OS, NEED HELP - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

Can someone tell me something about Havoc OS? Whenever I lock my phone, screen goes off. Okay, but most of the time fingerprint doesnt work, I need to press power button to wake up, then have to use fingerprint. And it's too slow also.
Another issue I'm facing is battery drain. I was using MIUI 10.3.7.0 which got serious lag/heating/battery issue. 90% issues are solved except battery, I can't get more than 6hrs SOT with normal use, like browsing, downloading from playstore. Tried Evira kernal with alucardsched governor, no luck.

Morfuz kernel?

Tried Evira Kernel, faced some serious battery issue, so switched back to stock Kernel comes with Havoc

No matter how much kernel you install Havoc's performance is a piece of shiiitt.
Must be worst rom note7
I highly recommend installing another rom, try Syberia Oficial. The battery life is fantastic. At 2h30 SOT only uses 20% of battery. Of course this is relative

From my personal experience, Syberia has a worse battery life than Lineage... but also LOS has a worse battery life than MIUI. On MIUI, I could easily get 8-10h SOT where as on LOS I get 8h with some struggle, but then, on Syberia I had trouble reaching 6h for some reason
But one thing I can agree on is that HavocOS for this phone is trash

Do you use double tap to sleep gesture in launcher or any app to lock the screen? I has same issue, try to lock only using the power button, I'm using smartbar navigation with an 4th button for lock.
And about SOT... I'm using now Havoc fan edition with 10+ hours sot.

I mean that the problem of blocking is to have active double tap to lock and unlock the screen, if I deactivate that option, the problem of delayed unlock with fingerprint is solved?

I've solved fingerprint issue by flashing a file available in Google, fingerprint fix mido, name of the file. I just need a ROM with best battery, I can sacrifice performance as I dont play heavy games like PUBG

Can you link the file you flashed please ?

Recommendation for battery friendly ROM

Hi all,
I purchased my X720 a couple of weeks ago and am still not settled with a ROM which I'd say I am satisfied with battery performance.
Tried LineageOS and it drew more than 5% idle during my sleep ~7 hours. Then I tried Validus and basically the battery drained after a day with minimum use. In both case I only installed 1 or 2 apps other than the gapps. Maybe I didn't get everything right. I am even considering going back to stock or a debloated version of stock.
I just want to check if anyone can recommend any ROM that draws less then 1% each 2 hours idle (not on flight mode). I don't mind whether it's MM or N as long as the google framework works.
Thanks in advance.
B
Best I've gotten without heavily tweaking and underclocking is 0.6 hr. With some work I got it down to 0.3. still working to improve it. This is on Turbo's Miui Rom v 10A. I got 2 days 18 hrs until it hit 5% battery left. That was with 3hrs 42mins SOT. The Rom has a few issues with setting not sticking on reboot. My watch crashes the rom (Android Wear). Finally the lock screen doesnt work with smartlock. Sure is pretty though.
Another option would be a stock based rom that's debloated.
Any of the nougat roms seem to have relatively high drain like 1.0 / hr was the best I have seen.
Stock still has the best battery life out of all the ROMs available. If you install an app that forces deep doze then you should be able to get much lower idle usage. However, you'll lose a lot of notifications. That's the trade-off...
One that I've used before going back to stock was Naptime: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.doze
I guess greenify also has that functionality, but it seemed buggy to me (but it is probably more stable now).
Omni drains 0-2% overnight for me. However, if you're in poor coverage (orange/red) you'll lose more battery regardless. I keep my phone on 2G overnight and data is automatically turned off by force doze.
Also remember that apps can prevent the device from entering deep sleep, so a rogue app could be the cause of your drain. Facebook, Snapchat, etc. Those are battery hogs.

For Nougat I found Ground Zero rom I tried Tipsy battery is pretty good, try few other roms but seems to drain too much for my like.

Can you share your methods/KA config to save battery life ?

Do you toggle data / wifi / GPS / and so ?
I never have drain (about 1-2% over night) but actually i always switch off everything till i need it, an old habit.
Device is always on though, i don't use plane mode.
Maybe it is one of these feature's sleep that causes it.

Significant motion sesor causing tons of wake time/battery drain

Hello,
A month ago my SM-G900T on the Mokee Nougat rom was doing great then just started draining the battery a lot while not in use. I'd lose about 10% of battery in 12 hours with the screen off, wifi on, and no movement at all. Then it started draining ~50% in the same time, also no movement or use. I didn't add or remove any apps or change any settings. The app Better Battery Stats blames wakelocks caused by the significant motion sensor. I wiped it which didn't help and tried other Nougat roms that previously did great with battery usage without installing anything but Open GApps micro and still I get tons of wake time with the significant motion sensor being blamed. Greenify with hibernate, Aggressive Doze and Doze on the Go all make no noticable difference. There are a number of sensor test apps and all of mine appear to be working fine.
Any ideas?
I am having the exact same issue with samsung significant sensor motion.. But i havent changed roms yet to test in other roms. I am getting sometimes 10% drop in one hour without ever touching the phone. And all status seem to blame this motion sensor. Have you found some solution or explanation on this?
did anyone find a solution to this? i started having problems with it on s10+ exynos A11

Battery issues after flashing Resurrection Remix Oreo

So I've been having this really fast battery drain with my SM-G900F after I flashed Resurrection Remix-OS 6.2.0
I did some diagnosing and all, and I wasn't surprised to find out that the Wifi was the main Issue, It's always the Wifi for some reason. I used to have this battery drain when I had stock rom, the battery used to drain like 20% - 30% overnight, but I somehow fixed it, and the battery only drained like 3% - 5% max, I don't even know how but I did, the problem now is after I flashed the RR rom, the battery drains arround 10% overnight when it's idle of course, I didn't care much about that, but then I noticed that when I do basic tasks like messaging in Telegram, the battery drains as if I was playing a game or something, when I used to have stock rom, the battery used to last like 5 or 6 hours with me doing messaging and watching youtube and everything, but now it only lasts about 2 to 3 hours, I don't even know where to start resolving the issue, I tried disabling ipv6 on my router and all, nothing helped, I'm really just so lost and I don't really wanna switch back to stock rom cause I'm loving this one.
Can anybody please provide me with some kind of explaination or fix or anything, thank you so much in advance.
Any help? please? I really need it

Unfortunately, Oreo builds aren't as battery friendly as Nougat or even Pie.
It is a fact that you can notice if you search and read in Unified Developement forum.
Based on my own experience, i advise you to try RR Nougat with updated security patch in combination with custom kernel like SmartPack, Boeffla, Tuned...
Good luck :good:
Thanks for the quick tip, hopefully I'll get this working

My phone uses 60% 70% 80% battery at night

Hello.
I have a problem that is worrying me a lot:
I have a habit of not letting my RN7 charge while I sleep. I charge before bed.
Sometimes when I wake up I see that it is off because it has no battery. In other words, it drains all the battery all night long and I put it in airplane mode. This does not always happen, but it does this often.
During the time I use the phone during the day there is no strange behavior on the part of the battery being the normal battery consumption.
How can I know what is going on?
I have the unofficial Havoc rom of the Team-Phenom team, without any kernel changes or other operating system modifications.
Tks

This is strange, I suggest to you to make a clean flash or maybe better to change the rom. I used few weeks the HavocOS fan edition, without problem, if you like the Havoc rom. To keep the most of settings, call history, sms and apps, I always make a backup to Gdrive (settings - google - backup). I'm using now the crDroid 6, very stable, good battery, but the android 10 roms still in early development phase, many customization option missing yet...

Have you looked at the battery stats to track down any app that might be running in the second plane. Things like Facebook or any social media apps like to do this.
I'm also running Havok build 20191009 by team phenom and my battery life is pretty good. Nothing like that happens to me.

It seems to me to be difficult battery problems. Just over 2H from SOT yesterday, I wasn't doing deep sleep. Some app that won't be letting deepsleep mode
A few days ago I kept on charging all night and when I woke up in the morning, it was very hot.
I will be attentive and check what the behavior, making my normal use.
Thanks for your answers / help
Yes if your phone is constantly got 5 then for sure there is a rogue app running in the background abounding your phone to enter do sleep.
You can use this app to better track down your apps.
If you can't track down what is I would suggest to make a backup of your files then make a clean install to start fresh and be careful of what does do you install.
