Manage and filling password like google is a great insight. I trust Xiaomi more than google giving them my personal data.
But at the Moment i can't save more than 4 passwords. Why? Is a bug?

Is it possible to use only Google contacts on my Redmi 3s and get rid of MIUI contacts?
The stock phone app of MIUI doesn't seem to work with anything else than the MIUI contact list.
In addition i would like to know, if you would recommend to use the Redmi 3s completely without a MIUI account? Or should i outright flash a custom ROM without MIUI?
First of all, you can use Redmi 3S without a MI Account. I've been using it for over a month now. The only downside would be that you won't be able to download themes from the Themes app. I'm skeptical about backing up my data to Mi Cloud so I never use that, now and even in the future.
As for your Contacts problem, I've synced my contacts to my Google account a long time ago and I've configured the Contacts app to only show my Google account contacts, nothing else. You can do that too by going into Contacts settings>Display preferences>Configure contacts lists and select which one you'd like to use and the app will only show contacts from the selected option.
Personally, I'd suggest using the phone without the Mi Account if you're not into using themes from the Themes app. There's no need to flash a custom ROM if MIUI is serving you well. And it's not mandatory to sign into a MI Account at all.
okay, so i rooted my 3s and installed xprivacy and adaway. So far i blocked the domains listed below. But every time I block something, a new xiaomi / miui domains pops up. Well, just some seconds ago, while adding new domains tcpdump is showing this: r1--sn-5hne6nl6.gvt1.com
A google search brought this up: http://www.virusresearch.org/remove-redirector-gvt1-com-virus/
Should I be worried? Xprivacy says that the miui downloader fetched this domain. I wasn't downloading anything.
gvt1.com is a google domain so its unlikely to be something to be worried about.
Are you sure it belongs to Google? How do you know?

I am worried to about the connections that MIUI makes. Some are for genuine purpose and some are for tracking/analytics/ads, etc.
The problem is how do you know which ones are genuine and what information is being sent.
There is no valid reason reason to send anything from my phone to their servers. Already asked in the afwall+ thread for a script to block China. I would do the same with Google btw if this were possible. A smartphone should work without contacting the server of the hardware or software manufacturer.
There are genuine reasons why some connections are needed. For example, checking for weather periodically, backing up data to MIUI cloud, downloading themes, etc...

So guys, i have xiaomi redmi 3s prime. I just buy it frm my fb's friend (without box and another stuff). I updated my 3s from MIUI 8 to MIUI 9. But my phone suddenly locked after reboot. It says this device is connected with Id 164***333 and it request Mi password. As i saw before, this device isn't logged in with any Mi accounts, and i cant tap on it on settings.
I dont know what to do. I've googling and i didn't find any way.
Please help me, how to delete, change, or something so i can use this phone. Thanks

you need password of mi id which is logged in this device after first boot contact your facebook friend ask him to unlock it..

I've asked the seller, but he said it's his friend's brother's phone, and his friend's brother dont know whose account is that. He didn't own it's box, so I can't request for account removal on i.mi.com (coz it's required boxes and notes).
Should I brought this phone to mi center?

Account 1 primary
Account 2 secondary
Problem :
When I go to Playstore I see an update for Android System webview, and when I go to the app, I see a message that this app is associated with my secomdary account, not the primary I use with Playstore.
I can't find any way to change this, and looking on the net many other people have the same. problem. The solutions offered will not work with Android 10, because (new in 9-10) if the primary google account is removed then all apps and settings for that account will also be removed, not what I want.
Is there a safe solution to this problem, that does not involve removing my account(s)?
I tried contacting Google support at
[email protected] which is the email offered by Playstore for developer contact, only to get a reply that I have written an email address no longer monitored.
And in all the post on support.google.com Google never answers any of the people with this problem.

Hi, I've installed Smarttube beta on my Xiaomi TV box. There's a screen that asks me to log in to my existing Goole account that I could use some help with... see attachment.
I have an normal Android phone which I have not logged into my Google account (I use apps from F-Droid). I suppose I would have to scan the QR code and log into Smarttube beta with this phone, but the phone's Google account is inactive...
Is there any other way to log into Smarttube Beta?

Log into Google and you are done. If you dont want that dont use Youtube / Smarttube as it is Google. Easy.
