It occurred to me to see the camera and its details and when I went to Video I noticed that the image looks too bad as "static" and the recording looks exactly the same and looks horrible, is it my problem or the camera itself?, in 1080p there is no difference either
in photos everything perfect and looks super good

The picture although have improved with the hot fix but I find that the picture is still very pixelated. For example, if you take a picture and you zoom into the picture on your PC, you can see each pixel, edges are hard and not smooth and there is a lot of noise. It seems like as if a picture was blown up to be 5 megapixel when it isn't or there is some sort of bad compression? I already set the quality to be highest. The capture format is fixed to JPEG and I cannot change it.
did you turn off widescreen mode to get true 5mp?
yes.. o wellz i guess it just can't compare to the nokia cameras.. but none the less it is good enough as i will never zoom in like that in real life...

Doesn't look promising...
(Sorry about the url mangling, but I'm apparently not allowed to post links)
Yeah, it looks really crappy. However, it is not what I would base my purchase on. But it seems like it might take some time to get the 2.1 update. 2 bad tha I have already bought the phone. But I think that I'll like it, wether it has multi touch and a good video camera or not.
Looks like a low light video, the frame rate, and color don't look bad, but shaky affect is annoying. I would like to see an outdoor video though.

well the video quality wasn't bad but no "HD" recording i guess :/
what resolution is the phone recording at when it is at its highest?
Looks good! better than my Nexus One!
Hey, i have a lg g2 since last christmas and the camera is very good in some situations but in others is just hideous. Outside when it's sunny or "clear" weather the camera does a great job with details etc, in low light the focus is so so slow and and the camera itself is laggy as hell and the photo comes out ****. But my main problem is video recording, altought it records with high quality the constant focus and unfocus of the camera is anoying and when i save it and go to watch it the video is stuttering , it just isnt smooth or soft if u know what i mean, i have a ipod 5 who records better that this phone because the video comes out pretty smooth, can somebody help me fix it or it's the same for you?
I have installed XCam Lg v5.1.2 but i didnt notice any difference
I just want to be able to record with smoothness because i need to record my soccer games, thank you
I don't record video much so not much of experiences but totally agree with you on taking pictures. In good, bright condition, the iq is great but in other conditions, images look not so good, especially selfie in low-light, just horrible. I've tried all modes, HDR, Intelligent, Night, .... not much better.
My friend has an old iPhone 5, and we took a few shots at the same spot under the same "not ideal" condition, the iPhone 5 beats this 13MP, OIS-ready hand down.
I felt bad though.

yes the camera is horrible for this phone, for a 13 MP is really really bad, we cant take selfies unless its outside with good weather but the video recording makes me crazy
Front facing camera is only 2.1 mp anyway.
Hello,
I saw many people complaining about camera preview issue. It is not sharp and looks grainy. It looks like vga camera for both rear and front camera. It also affects video calling apps and apps like Snapchat. They look like vga.
Hi there,
Just got myself the 6P and noticed that the 12MPixel rendering when you zoom all the way in looks fishy
It looks like there is an effect (or many) in there to make the photo look prettier.
It looks to me like the watercolor effect in photoshop.
What if I just want my photos normal. No effect. Is that possible.
I have tried with a different camera app and the same thing happens.
If its got to stay this way, I say it's pretty sh**t.
Turn off the Auto HDR should bring you the photo without additional post processing
