My i9505 originally had I9505XXUFNB8 BTU firmware on it and was rooted using Chainfire's Auto Root.
The phone kept asking me to update the firmware so I decided to flash the stock firmware back on it using ODIN so that I could do so (I have read that you should never update via OTA if rooted).
When I flashed it using ODIN, upon boot up, the phone said that "Unfortunately, Touchwiz Home has stopped." I press OK but then I get another error message this time for Google Play Music (infinite loop).
I keep toggling between these two error messages, however they wouldn't go away.
If I press the lock screen button, I can see the welcome message, the status bar etc. But soon as I swipe, the above error messages appear.
If I receive a phone call, the phone rings and goes to the answer / reject screen but I can't accept the call as the error message is in the way.
The last resort I tried was to factory reset it via the stock recovery options boot menu, but to no avail.
I have flashed a new version of the ROM, I9505XXUFNB9.
This time, upon the first setup screen where it asks for the region and language after around 15 seconds a message appeared saying "unfortunately, Google+ has stopped."
I press OK on this dialogue box, then I get another error "unfortunately, Google Play Music has stopped."
Then after pressing OK on this one, I get the Google+ one in a loop.
Please help me as now I can't use the phone at all as I can't set it up.

When you got problems you can't solve:
Make backups and do a factory reset. 9/10 times it it solved then.
"Unfortunately mi cloud stopped working" (no access to settings, no no recovery)
Hi everyone,
I received today my shiny Redmi Note 3 (Chinese rom - Stable - English pack with Play Store).
After a few actions (listed below), the device boots but it gets stuck with a message in the bottom of the screen: "Unfortunately mi cloud stopped working" (not a new bug apparently: https://www.google.com/?q=unfortunately mi cloud has stopped ) which keeps appearing and I have no chance to access other screen of the phone, besides notification tray.
Apparently the solution would be to wipe mi cloud's data either from settings (not accessible: I can pull down the notification bar but settings icon is disabled) or from recovery (not accessible either: I can't reboot to recovery from settings not having access to it and starting from device off and pressing volume up + power I'm presented with a strange screen**),
Here are the few things I did before this happened:
- updated (via phone update manager) the phone several times until no further update was available(I think the latest version was 7.0.10 or 7.0.13)
- encrypted phone memory
- set pin + fingerprint
- enable Developer Options
- link my Google account
- add sim card
- reboot
- ... error! (I tried rebooting also without sim cards)
What can I do to to fix this situation?
Thanks a lot in advance
Hello,
My rooted Huawei y625 phone frequently (every two seconds) shows "com.android.phone has stopped working", "Browser has stopped working", "Dialler has stopped working", ...
I tried to fix it by wiping all the data& cache in recovery mode, but it only stayed the same, therefore I suppose either the firmware or the hardware itself is corrupted. I have only time for one click before the error message re appears, I can't access the Play Store or the Internet either.
Initially applications which didn't work simply crashed (For example "Unfortunately Dialler has stopped working"), the factory reset let to the above error.
What can I do to fix it ?
Should I unroot my phone ?
I downloaded the original firmware from the huawei website, should I try to flash it ?
My phone notified me when i got home that i had a system update (Lollipop 5.1) So i downloaded it and proceeded with the installation. However when the phone rebooted itself, it showed i had no service and a error message popped up. "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" and gave me the option to close or send error report. I've tried pressing both options and it pops right back up. I am unable to get into any setting/apps due to this error message. Please Help!
Hello! I had the same problem with my blu vivo air. I made a factory data reset and the error disappeared! good luck!
I have a stock moto x play whose hardware sku is XT1564. It's on android ver 5.1.1 and system version is 23.21.25.lux_lra.en.US
I have not performed any soft mods or alterations, be it root or bl unlocking.
The only thing that I would think is different than normal is that the phone is encrypted, so it asks for password whenever it boots up.
I got a notification to update to 24.74.5.en.US a few days ago and decided to try doing it today.
It downloads the update fine and when I press on the notification for it to start the update process where it says it needs to perform a reboot to update it goes into a "phone will reboot in 10 seconds" screen and when countdown finished it shows the "shutting down..." popup that appreas when you try to shutdown the phone.
Then the phone stays with that popup until it finally shutsdown like 4 minutes later on what appears to be a hard shutdown because it doesn't reboot. I have to manually power it on and then the phone starts up normally asks me for my password and about a minute after android fully loads the phone tries to shutdown again without any input. And then it just keeps doing that until I boot the phone into fastboot and try to get it to bootloader, where it shows the dead android logo with a red yield sign and promptly shutsdown. Then when I start the phone normally it shows an "update unsuccessful" screen.
Anyone have any idea what might be the problem?
I've been thinking it might be the encryption but IDK. Also I've checked the thread with the firmware versions and couldn't find mine there. Is there a way I could dump mine for backup in case I **** something up trying to get OTA to work.(without unlocking bootloader and rooting, of course)
Now the update has stopped appearing and I can't get it to recognize there being an update for this device.
Fudge!
