Then you should use it warranty to get repaired your device. As fas as I know it they will give you 6 month's warranty.

Hi all,
My touch screen has stopped working... most frustrated!
I have Task29'ed it and have re-installed the ROM but still have not got any response.
Was working, then put it in my pocket 2 hours later the time had reset and I had no response from the screen....
Any ideas?
Common problem on HD2's. Send it in for repair.
In the past week I've seen about 12 people with messed up touch screens. That is very weird.
My touch Screen died too, yesterday. Suddenly I couln't unlock the phone, the screen just wouldn't reacht to my touches. So I restarted, then it worked fine for half an hour before freezing again. Now I cant get it to work anymore. I was running Windows Phone 7 when it happened, then flashed an Android ROM, the problem was still there.
So I need to know if it is possible to remove Nand Android and HSPL without the use of the touch screen at all? If I send it in now, with HSPL installed they sure as hell wont fix it.
Interesting that so many are dying all of a sudden, looks like the digitizer is coming to the end of its useful life. How infuriating
Dont even know a company that would repair this other then HTC, and sod paying their charges! Ebay and HD7 here I come!

You can reflash without touching the screen, turn it off, plug it into the PC and hold down the 'down' volume button which will put it into hard reset. Upload the original ROM.
I just flashed to the newest stock ROM with RUU. But when I go to bootloader it still says Cotulla HSPL What can I do to remove it and all traces of it?

Im curious, what OS were you running on the phone when this happened?
two of my friends have sent theirs back. they both got theirs about six months ago. perhaps there's some sort of lifespan on these touchscreens.I sold my hd2 to a friend and he's starting to complain about this issue as well

First of all, I am not blaming Cotulla or any developer. Also I don't blame nand or any type of software installation
What happened to me on Friday (and to my neighbor on Saturday), is it started when we flashed the Stock HTC ROM to go back from WP7.
Both our digitizers crapped out right there I say it's pure coincidence.. I'm just pissed off that after 7 months, I have to send my unit to the UK. (I bought it in Holland, but I live in Romania).
Oh well, going to call HTC tomorrow, and arrange an RMA

After i've been reading through the internet, i noticed indeed that after a good 7-8 months, a lot of people have this problem.
They repaired mine in 1 week, I got it back on Friday =) Happily... They changed the whole body, including camera, flash ( donno why ) and the screen..it looks like new! I thought it is new at first, but then I saw the serial number is the same...

Nothing! It was covered by the warranty... I just installed the stock ROM ( which uninstalls HSPL ) before sending it for repair...
Actually the android folder was still residing inside the SD card, but I think it didnt affect the warranty..

Done .....
I don't think its a touchscreen issue the way I c it te hardware buttons are the cause because it happened to be before when my power button started causing te screen to not respond but waking with every other button it would respond normally but later on all te button started giving in... finally it was completely dead I think that's why usually most phone have seperate power button and capacitive button cause they don't wear out usually that quick atleast idk that's just my theory

I hate to sound blunt but.
Sounds like your best bet is to take a loss. Why should att take a loss at your lack of knowledge?
And to stop messing with phones cause you don't seem to understand the concept. It's not meant to be.
LG G2
I'm also against the fact that you use the warranty to get a replacement for bricking you phone - which is not covered by warranty. There is a solution to it, but you will need help from someone more competent than me.
I have seen something here that unbricked his device under ubuntu and replaced imgs manually.
Also I have to agree with 20degrees it really sounds like you shouldn't be messing with phones if you bricked 2 in under 24 hours.
Also I would think att will not warranty the phone because you just warrantied one 24 hours ago

Leave your phone alone and they do keep records but truth is they dont know what so they will replace it but it doesn't make it right,
It very clear that you have NO phone skill at all leave it stock.

Very common. Do a search. Cause is still unknown.
thx for the reply.. is it independent on model version? I want to buy the korean version... not sure I will get one now considering it's pricey and prone to screen issues
It happens to every version. I had mine fixed a few months ago and it's happening again.

I never had a problem and when I did have a screen problem it was because I had a JDI one and I fixed it. Its an awesome phone (Better than S4) so you should really try playing with it. Rooting it is also another option and I dont think custom roms give you the touchscreen problem.

Since when I had my phone repaired and they had to change out my prox sensor, screen, and digitizer, I really think it's a hardware issue.
Just had to have my D801 replaced by T-Mobile for an issue where the screen was picking up two finger touches instead of just one in a small area in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Warranty replacement was easy but I wish this wasn't an issue.. I love this phone.

I was going to do that with TMO, but they wanted $19.99 "processing fee" or something ridiculous. On top of that, I'd get a refurb device. I ended up going through LG - they had my phone for about two weeks.
Like I said though, the issue is back..
as i was going to buy the korean version without warranty... I think it is not a wise decision to do that seeing so many issues with the lg g2 screen... I am disappointed as this phone looked like my ideal phone with ideal screen size (not too big, not too small) with a good camera... but I don't want to take a risk on the screen issue.. I have the htc desire and it has issue with multitouch and it is very frustrating (can't even rotate on gmaps) ... I don't want this again lol

That's weird. I only had to pay $5 processing. The guy said because I was on the JUMP program. Also I got like super expedited shipping for free. I suppose I may have gotten a refurb but a refurb I better than a broken phone. I just hope this doesn't happen again...

So I recently bought a OP2, but when I finally received it, It didn't turn on.
I already tried multiple things, like flashing a new bootloader.
The thing's been charging for a few days now, and still no sign of life. Is it still fixable, or do I have to ask for a replacement?

You really should get a replacement. Or ask for a lvl 2 technician remote session. They can flash stock oxygenos while controlling your computer. If the remote session won't work you will get a replacement.

Hey guys,
i ve got a D855 32gb and sunndenly the screen doesnt turn on.
It didnt drop it or do anything with the screen.
The phone is rooted and has been flashed with custom rom.
Is there any way to flash stock firmware in order to unroot?
Or the warranty will be valid, due to hardware fault only?
I have some non backuped photos that i dont want to lose.
What should i do?
Ruined my day completely

If you can reach download mode then you can flash stock kdz firmware....
But if you can't turn on the phone, probably you need another motherboard...
I had the same problem about 3 weeks ago...
I've send it for reparation and got it 2 weeks later with stock v30n MM rom installed...
Unfortunately i lost all my data.....
But my phone is back again and is fixed under warranty.....

my screen is burnt and it isnt a software issue.
i contacted LG and said that in order to change the screen they have to change the motherboard too. Thats why i will lose all my data.
So im asking here, if there is a way to back up ot transfer my files from my lg to the pc through download mode so that when they fix my device i can put all the photos in there again.
If your screen is burnt they don't need to change the motherboard as well, so what they're essentially saying is they'll do what apple does and instead of fixing the phone they'll give you a replacement (at a cost to you).
The choice you need to make is whether to keep your warranty or your photos. If you want the warranty go down that route with LG.
If you want your photos replace the screen yourself or have someone do it for you. I run a phone repair business and can tell you the cost price of the g3 screens hovers between £25-40 depending on how many you buy and where from, so if you go to a shop expect to shell out around the equivalent of £50-60 in your currency. LG will, more than likely, charge you more.
That been said if its more than the screen and if your motherboard has decided to give up the ghost then you'd be cheaper and better off just buying another phone, unless you can somehow use that as a ticket to get LG to replace it for free given most motherboard failures have nothing to do with the user at fault.
If your mobo is dead they won't be able to detect root so don't worry about that.
