Is there any way (no root, no TWRP, btldr locked) I can get more fingerprint animation?

My N7 ended up in a boot loop after the 5.1 update. I can get to the bootloader and I can get to recovery. HOWEVER, the bootloader is still locked and the debugging mode is not enabled.
In fastboot, I can send the OEM unlock command, but the N7 screen just blinks and comes right back to the bootloader screen saying that the current status is locked.
I can go to the recovery screen and get to the option to sideload, but when I try to sideload the system file, it always says that the footer is wrong and that the signature verification failed. I've tried several different files from the Android factory images.
I've also tried the Nexus Root Toolkit and the SkipSoft Toolkit and they don't seem to work either.
ANY help would be appreciated.
Welcome to the bricked N7 club. Same thing happened to mine after taking the OTA 5.1 update.
+1 Also the same here Lock state - Locked nothing works, also the recovery mode is not working on mine (think I wiped the device somehow)
Anyone know how to fix the recovery mode also? I cant Flash recovery as the bootloader is locked?

I'm still struggling with this. I've tried the Nexus Root Toolkit v 2.0.5 and it doesn't seem to do anything. I can tell it to unlock the bootloader, but at the top of the screen it just says "unlocking now........" and never unlocks it.
Starting to get really frustrated......
I unlocked my bootloader a while back.
I have just installed nougat, and now my unlocked bootloader warning comes up again.
Is there a way I can remove this for the default boot image?

All,
I had flashed Elite ROM v4 and it was successful except messing up on MagiskSu where one application still detected the phone is rooted. To solve the problem, decided to flash it again without realizing OEM lock is off - forgotten to activate before start flash. Now, after wipe everything using TWRP,reboot to continue the flashing procedure, the phone is unable to boot into TWRP recovery and only able to boot to stock recovery and fastboot. Unfortunately the FRP is lock and I could not not flash TWRP again. Any advice?
I like to regularly backup my data partition using TWRP. I noticed once I enable my fingerprint screen lock, TWRP is unable to access my data partition because Android 8.0 encrypts it from the moment I set a screen lock password (obligated when I enable fingerprint screen lock). For the moment my device in not encrypted and I don't want it to be encrypted, "preserve force encryption" is off in Magisk. Can I take the risk and enable my fingerprint screen lock now? Or will it encrypt my data partition again? I don't want my data partition to be encrypted as I like to access it out of Android. My bootloader is unlocked and my phone is a Samsung SM-G935F (Galaxy 7 edge) with Android 8.0 (TGPKernel.S7E.6.12.6).
ps: TWRP does not ask for a password after my Android device/partition is encrypted.
So does enabling a screen lock turn on encryption automatically and can I disable this behaviour?
Use the modded version of TWRP (the one on my signature, green one) for S7 edge.
hi. i was running android 9 rooted and i decided to upgrade to android 10. i also included twrp in the installation using magisk and patching the AP file.
The first boot was fine. i had to reboot the phone and now if i start with root, i can't unlock the screen, i put the pin,it gives black screen and then pin request again. i rebooted with no root (same problem). i wiped the cache and now i can use phone if i start without root. i tried to remove pin and fingerprint, but anyway if i start with root i cannot use phone, it goes in bootloop after the unlock screen.
Any suggestion?
thanks
