Phone switches off when i recieve a call

Hello guys,
Need a help.
I am facing a weird issue that sometimes when I get a call, the phone switches off within the first 1-2 secs abruptly and doesn't power on again, this has occurred many a times and I have no idea why the problem exists so I went ahead to reset the phone to factory settings but with no luck as after 1 day it gave me the same issue.
Would be of great help if someone provides me a solution to this.

That's maybe because proximity sensor might be sensing the wrong distance.....are you using anything to cover your screen or have something between the speaker and the front camera?
I am also facing the same problem from evening.

No bro I dot think that it would be an issue with the proximity sensor as it is not only when my phone is in my pocket but otherwise also its getting switched off like that.

Yes I am using tempered glass screen protector. But in the initial 1 month I didn't any issue even if having the screen protector.

It is very, very, very likely that the screen protector is the issue.

i have the same problem i thought it was a bug in marshmallow so i update my device to 7.0 and i still having the same problem ?:crying::crying: any ideas , how to solve it ?

Axon 7 fingerprint scanner with sweaty hands

How well does your Axon 7's fingerprint scanner work with sweaty hands and fingers?

There is only one thing to do.
Set one fingerprint with a moistured finger.
Needed some attempts and after a bit of try&error works brilliant for me

It gives me error continuously with sweaty hands.

Does your Axon 7 register your fingerprint when your hands are sweaty? Because my hands sweat a lot quite most of the times , I 'm really having trouble with this phone's scanner. Any suggestions or tips to improve this situation a little bit ?

Don't know, it works perfectly for me. Dry and sweaty. Maybe it has to do with how you set up your fingerprint. I changed my position a lot during the registering procedure.

No it's not related to it. It is just so annoying for me because whenever my fingers are just a little sweaty it says "partial fingerprint detected please try again". And I had this issue from the first day and it jus got worse with recent updates.(totally messed up) It's definitely the worst fingerprint scanner I've ever used.

I can't RMA my phone because my reseller doesn't accept RMA. And I think it's software issue 'cause it's gotten worse after the update.

factory defect? Many people have returned A2017s to Aliexpress resellers AFAIK
If it were a software error I'm pretty sure you'd fix it with MiFlash and a N package. Or going to a custom ROM and coming back.

I haven't bought it from AliExpress.
And I haven't tried MiFlash but I have installed my current ROM again with a complete Package. And I have seen many reviews about Axon7's fingerprint scanner that it doesn't work with sweaty or greasy hands but I didn't pay attention to it when I decided to buy it.

If I just put the same region of my finger again and again and even when it says register the edges of your finger during registration, it doesn't give me errors. Shouldn't it give you errors when you put the same area of your finger during all the process of registration? Doesn't this mean my scanner is faulty and doesn't recognize different areas of my finger?

How did you install your ROM again with a package? Lots of things remain unless you downgrade. Just try with MiFlash and a FULL_EDL package from 4pda and if the problem with the sensor persists, I guess you can buy a broken phone if you care much about the sensor

I installed it over my current ROM for instance I installed B13 (a zip file named update.zip 2.4GB)ROM again when I was already on B13. I have also downgraded a few times.

No haven't decided yet and I don't risk tearing the phone myself.

I finally understood that it's not related to my hands being wet and sweaty or dry, I sometimes get these errors (see screenshots) either with both wet and dry hand.
But sometimes it works perfectly.
I have the A2017 variant and I've asked someone who's bought it where I did and he also has this issue. This issue is so bothering and I had it since the first days.

October update broke the smart cover function?

I was so happy that i for once had a phone where everything just worked.
That was untill the october patch. About 1059 Mb.
Now my magnetic smart cover doesent wake up or shut down the screen anymore.
By the way im totally stock.
Anybody else experienced this?

Hey, guys, my LeEco 1S died completely and I am thinking to buy this Mi A1.
Would you recommend it from XDA point of view? I am into flashing and modding but plan to after voiding the warranty(after a year).
Please let me know. Also, I didn't know this device supports magnetic covers like Samsung S-series. A Flipkart link would be helpful, I'll add to my cart to buy when I have funds.

i tested my hall sensor...its working fine

You need a magnet mate the dial *#*#6484#*#* and choose hall sensor then run the magnet all over the front of the phone untill it senses it

My hall sensor works mate just not with a smart cover so it's pretty useless but yeah hopefully it will work again in an update

Same here!
The flip (Nillkin) was ok before and during the upgrade, with factory settings. I was happy for 1-2 hours only....

After November update problem solved.

Good news is that the 1 Dec firmware update resolve the smart cover issue.

Fingerprint sensor stopped working

Had the screen replaced on my MiA1 recently.
Initially when I got it back the fingerprint sensor worked, but seemingly not as well as it had. I put it down to the hot weather. Now, 3days later it's not working at all
Could this be related to the screen repair? (Assuming yes), if so, is it a fix I can do myself out do I need to try argue it out with the shop?

open back cover
check fingerprint connector attached or not....its very simple....

Silly question maybe but is there any instructions on removing the back cover??

queries regarding back panel of redmi 3s

I am using 2gb version of redmi 3s which doesn't have fp sensor. The phone is more than 2 years old and back panel is pretty much worn out and scratched. I just want to know if I replace it with fp version of back panel will fp unlocking work. and what would be the price of original back panel and where would I get it online in India.

You can get back panel of FP version but can't get FP version. For 2GB rermi 3S, they haven't given any outlet even if you buy FP sensor.
