What possible hardware issue(s) could cause my phone to freeze and then crash? Also, all the buttons on my phone are working fine. Any answer will be appreciated.:good:

Oh nvm it was actually a software issue. I had to update the phone manually.

hello people, in portait mode (keyboard closed) when the red button is pressed opera doesnt close, but in landscape mode (keyboard open) when the red button is pressed opera closes.
has anyone else have this? is this normal

mine is playing up not sure whats up with it, its annoying.
try a soft reset. if that dont fix it, try a hard reset.
has it always been like this with yours? did you install any new version or opera?
if all fails, try updating with the latest firmware that just came out.

hi it tryed soft reset, upgraded to latest rom (uk), but no joy. it has always worked before. i have only installed sktools recently, but i cannt think why that would cause a issue, im gonna uninstall it again and try again.

seems like touch-it keyboard was causung issues
Unfortunately, I started a thread that was closed before I could get an answer.
Anyway, my question is this, when I have something wrong with my X10, how do I fix it without having to do a wipe and reset over and over again.
For example, my wifi just seriously won't start and keeps saying "Unable to start wifi".
This happened before but solved itself days later, now its back and it just won't work.
I don't want to keep resetting my phone to factory settings each time my wifi doesn't work.
[Q] Is there a hard reset method that won't wipe your data?
A soft reset/restart does nothing, btw.

What ROM are you using?

No, like I've said, a soft reset will not do anything.
As for the rom, the phone is all stock, I even have market authorized apps only.
Is your X10i or X10a ? did you try Sony Update via PC to completely reinstall stock again ?
OR
Will there be any chance, you using flashtools to installed a wrong version of stock firmware with wrong region ?
Did you tried any other wifi connection than your current place.

X10i, ive previously used sony update to reinstall it. I don't wish to do that everytime i get this problem.
I've installed the proper region and i dont us flashtools.
I've tried local connections and actually I took it to anther city whilst I was out. Problem persists

Nope i didn't.
Do factory reset and try again. If it works with another launcher then maybe some app or anything else is causing it.

Try 3845*#80X#
X represent your model number. Let's assume you have the international model, which is 802. You should input in the dialer 3845*#802#
This action will take you to service menu.
In the service menu find touch firmware updates, update your touch firmware. Reboot.
If it doesn't work try to do it couple of times. After each try do a reboot.

The accelerometer and the gyroscope do not transmit values when I use *#0*#

Should be software problem, as you've said "It was working properly untill I installed a game from aptoide".
Did you try to uninstall that game and see if the problem persists?

I've done a factory reset through recovery mode, but it didnt solve the problem!!!

Reflash the stock rom you have with Odin and data factory reset afterwards, that should solve it. Some system files probably got messed up somehow.
Hello everyone, I have spent a lot of time searching but could not find a solution to my problem, hope you guys could help me.
Every time that I take a photo with my N910C, I get these pixels (red & green) on the photo that follow the same pattern, these dots do not appear on the viewfinder only when the picture is taken (using the back or front camera).
I would greatly appreciate any solution to this problem.

Are you on stock Touchwiz or a custom ROM?
The best advice would be to flash stock firmware via Odin and see what happens.

I'm running stock Touchwiz 5.0.1. This problem started on 4.4.4 and persisted when I upgraded to 5.0.1. Any advice?

Have you tried a factory reset?
Try this code in the dialler: *#34971539# or *#7412365#
If nothing works it maybe a hardware defect.

I haven't tried a factory reset as I'm hoping to avoid it as much as I can.
I tried *#34971539#, it displayed a menu to check the camera FW version, the "phone" and "load" versions are the same, but the "cam" version is different from them.
*#7412365# didn't work.
Why just dont wipe data,cache,etc (hard reset)?
Or go in SAFE MODE and see...
U can try flash whit ODIN,or simple go to samsung service and fix it if u have warranty
Booted the device into safe mode, and the problem is still there
I'm trying as much as I can to avoid a factory reset. Is there any other solutions you guys think can work?
This problem started out of the blue, the phone wasn't dropped or had any kind of liquid spilled on it.
