Gentlemen. I have a big problem. Yesterday I installed the CM11 version beta5 and I test it, discovering a few bugs .
Overall I would add that the system works great, but if you would something advised it would be grateful .
It does not work :
1) Recording camera (I press the red circle recording and not recording).
2) Audio recording (recorder) - the press circle recording shows a table with the information : "An internal application error" and then click OK.
3) Do not operate the automatic brightness.
4) No application to the radio ( I do not know if there have a radio in CM , because I'm new to the CM .
5) I do not have Sim Toolkit application in the menu , even though it is in all applications in the settings. Perhaps it was the wine that I have not taken off to unlock the phone ... anyone know a way to remove it ?
6) Do not operate the NFC .
It would help someone solve these bugs , problems , riddles ? I would be very grateful for your help.
Sorry for my bad language
I hope, that I write in a good chapter , but the topic <link below> I can not write :C
Link to the main topic: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2519448 ).
1. Try to clean Camera cache/data.
2. Same as above.
3. L5 don't have that option at all AFAIK.
4. No radio APP on CM.
5. Didnt get second part what u were saying
6. NFC on CM11 not work in TAG mode in Android BEAM it should work.
Oh, thanks for the quick reply. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 issues have been resolved.
As for the 5 trouble ... User PecanCM in the pictures in this: <http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2519448> topic has an application menu "Sim Toolkit". I don't have the icon in the menu, but I have it in settings / applications / all apps. Hmm... The reason for this may be that I have simlock?
How to unlock the phone, to support whole the sim card (How to remove simlock)?
I have sim toolkit on b5 and any other rom. Now im not an expert but if u have simlock but use right simcard sim tool should appear no matter what but maybe im wrong in that case u need to unlock ur phone via unlock code u can buy that kind of service quite cheap almost everywhere in web.

Here you can dowload official stable fastboot images : http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
But for Redmi 3 is still v7.1.3.0 .
You can try to flash the official version and then see if you get the OTA update to v7.2.4.0.

I tried that when i was on prerooted v7.1.2.0 . The update to official v7.1.3.0 was installed and asked for reboot to apply update.
But after reboot i was still on v7.1.2.0 with root and all apps and data were intact.
I tried twice.
does anyone have flashed to v7.2? any issues or bugs in this version?

Hello, wow would you go about updating? I got my phone with a multi-lingual rom and google play pre-installed so won't get the OTA updates. Should I just put the file on my phone and go to the updater and choose the file to try and update? Or will I have to do it via MiFlash ? Thanks!

I'm sorry i might have been mistaken... But i tried for like 30 minutes but was unable to place a call.
How long have you been using this rom? How's the performance, battery life etc.? Are there any other bugs we should be aware of?

I am now with EMUI because I could not flash xposed on MIUI8 now.(I could use phone without xposed:silly
But other Chinese users said that these bugs will not influence your daily use.
Wow, this is like a dream come true. Do you think this ROM will be updated to fix the bugs (especially random reboots)? I'm looking forward to use it but I would prefer if there was a little bit more stable version for daily usage. Oh and by the way, what happened? Custom ROM based on Android 6.0 for Honor 6? Did Huawei finally release ALL the sources?
As for the SIM icon - I read on his blog that this problem happens only for the Sim Card #1. I think (but I'm not sure) than in MIUI you can actually mark SIM cards as #1 or #2 in settings. Maybe this bug could be "fixed" by simply changing the settings and marking SIM card as #2?

right now, nothing is a big issue, other than signal display.. unless it's perfectly usable.. and signal issues are quite common in miui ports.. honor 5x had it too. but solved eventually

6.12.12 is the first built for Honor 6. Since Ry09iu has been made so many ROMs for H60, like FIUI, Mokee, Flyme4, Flyme5, MIUI6,MIUI7, IUNI OS, BaiduOS, Tencent TOS, and so on!
So I think He will not give up ..
The way to build MIUI8 for honor 6 is that MIUI has put out patchrom, which help developers to make roms easily.
(So it is possible to make a CM13.0(Well, now called Lineage OS) on the same way, But no one did it...)
As for the SIM icon...Well, some Honor 6 supports TWO SIM CARDS.
Thanks for your answers. I installed it right now (on top of official B860 with TWRP 3.0.2). Unfortunately I seem to have a problem with my IMEI and Baseband. Every few seconds pop-up window appears, telling me that my Device ID is unknown and it couldn't find IMEI, therefore some Mi Account options like MiCloud will be unavailable. In my Settings > About Phone it says that Baseband is also "Unknown". I'm doing another Wipe Data / Factory Reset and we'll see how it goes. Other than that the ROM seems to work OK, however there are some chinese apps.
EDIT
Nope, it's even worse now. After doing a wipe in TWRP, phone boots up and shows the starting configuration screen. I choose language, press Next and it shows up the message that there is no SIM card. I press "Skip" and phone instantly reboots. It's the same every time.
EDIT2
OK, I figured what was the problem at the first time - I flashed OpenGAPPS just after I flashed MIUI, which was not a good idea, I guess, and caused the issue described above. I formatted everything in TWRP and reinstalled MIUI only (no GAPPS). System started and had the original MIUI configuration (before it was different, probably due to the openGapps). There are, however, some bugs.
First of all, the configuration can't be finished in my language (Polish). At the step where you can choose to enable or disable "Find my phone" option it would just kind of hang (you can't finish that step). When I pressed "Next" it would just slide back to the same screen over and over again. I couldn't get past that step. However when I switched the language to English in first step, the configuration went fine. So if you have troubles and you use other language than Chinese / English, then I recommend you finish the first-time setup in English and later on switch the language to the desired one in the settings.
Problem with SIM card is quite annoying. Device doesn't recognize SIM card (even though it might actually work) and the icon is flashing all the time at the status bar. Because of that Mobile Data switch doesn't work. By default Mobile Data is enabled all the time and you can't turn it off with the switch nor with the settings (settings crash when you try to go to anything SIM related). The only way to switch on/off mobile data is by connecting the device with USB cable and using ADB commands:
adb shell
svc data disable <- disables Mobile Data
adb shell
svc data enable <- enables Mobile Data
There's also plenty of chinese apps (some chinese store + chinese VOD). The browser also has some chinese texts + some options have chinese left-overs (Mi Account Settings). The performance itself is quite good and it's a good start. However for daily usage it, in my opinion, needs a bit more polishing. Would be nice if we had someone here that could make a port for Western countries like the modified KangVIP (removing chinese apps, repairing western languages and so on). Unfortunately I don't have that kind of skill so the only thing that I can do is to report bugs I noticed

I will try to report bugs you found to Ry09iu
(if He will listen to me. Some developers In China did not like answer users' questions because there are too many users trying to report their questions.)
In My test, I flash OpenGApps at the same time and it can start Into system. So I think it is not a bug or just OpenGApps's bug.

Yeah, I normally do that on other phones too. I can flash CM13 and then flash OpenGapps just after that and it works perfectly fine. However for some reason it didn't work too good on my Honor 6 with this MIUI ROM (I'm using H60-L04 btw). Maybe there was some error during installation, hard to say. However whenever I started my phone it would show up "No SIM Card" screen immedietaly on top of MIUI Configuration. When I pressed "Skip" my phone automatically restarted. Weird - that probably would fix itself automatically after SIM Card bug is fixed in MIUI.

I flashed Oreo (CRB7) from Odin on my S8(SM-G950FD) (flashed on top of the Nougat with my data)
And there are 3 cases I couldn't find a solution
1. I cannot turn on "Allow clipboard" which allows Secure Folder data to be copied and pasted outside of Secure Folder. When I turn it on, it automatically turns off
2. I can take a screenshot inside the secure folder but it doesn't show bottom pane (the pane which I can expand the screenshot or crop or share it). But outside the secure folder screenshot works fine
3. Smart Select from Edge Panel does not work inside the secure folder anymore. (It works fine outside the secure folder). When I press anything (Rectangle, Oval, Animation or Pin to Screen) it does nothing
I have restarted the device but no luck.
Do you face these same problems? Please let me know. I want know if its for me only or everyone else.
Can someone Please help if know how to fix these.
Thank you
bump
All of those are working for me.
The bug that I have is related to entering the SF. After I input the code to enter SF it goes back, sometimes 1 or 2 times before it actually enters.

Can someone help me I am trying to force my Huawei P10 Plus to use LTE/4G only mode. I have latest Firmware/Patch Level.
I have tryed many service codes in format like *#*#.....#*#* codes but I can not set the LTE Only mode.
Isn't it possible without "root"?
It is possible to force "4G only" without root. First download "Setting Database Editor" from playstore. Open it and look for "hw_networkmode_preferences". I use this value "9,3,2,1,11" on my phone. Save it and restart your phone. If you still don't get "4G only" option then you need to open the "Setting Database Editor" again and look for "hw_add_4g_only". Mine was set to "250". You need to change it according to your country mobile code. Look for your mobile country code here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_country_code. In my case I change the value to "250;502" since 502 is my country code. Save it and restart your phone.
Tested on rebranded P10 Plus 256GB.

Thank you very much for your Help! I already installed the DB Settings Editor and found out that hw_networkmode_preferences were already "9,3,2,1,11" so this wasn't the case. Additionally I found that I have to add "hw_add_4g_only" so I added it with the wrong Country Code because I didn't know what the hw_add_4g_only means. I was searching for it a few days now and never got an answer, so I was trying to ask here. And you made it clear now. The Wikipedia Link was very helpful and it works now for my Country. I have to set it 262 for O2 Telefonic Germany.
So again Thank you very very much!
Using Huawei P10 (VTR-L29) 8.0.0.374 (185) solution above works for me too.

It is possible to force "4G only" without root. First download "Setting Database Editor" from playstore. Open it and look for "hw_networkmode_preferences". I use this value "9,3,2,1,11" on my phone. Save it and restart your phone.]
For me, It works. Huawei P10 Lite
Thanks

Worked on my Samsung Galaxy S9
Honor 6X is stubborn as heel... Nothing works.
Can't even find the commands... Sigh!
First Method :
1. Use SIM 1 as the default connection setting
2.
You need to install this app for FREE
at Google Play
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teknokia.force4glteonly
pro version : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teknokia.force4glteonlypro
galaxy store: https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.teknokia.force4glteonly
pro version : https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.teknokia.force4glteonlypro
3. Run the application, press the SIM 1 only or Android testing button. You will enter two LTE Switcher options and also 2 Android testing options.
4. You can try all of them which support your phone.
If the telecommunication operator you are using does not support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and uses LTE Only Mode, so regular calls will be blocked.
Second Method :
1. DOWNLOAD Force 4G LTE Only 2020 Pro application from Google Play
2. Run the Application
3. Select SIM 1 Only menu, then Hidden Activity
4. wait to load until 100%
5. tap the search box type RadioInfo
6. In the DEvice Info app section, there is a RadioInfo activity.
7. Long Tap 3 options will appear: Create Shortcut, Launch Activity, Edit Shortcut. I recommend Select Create Shortcut to make it easier for us to enter network activity mode without having to bother opening the Force 4G LTE Only 2020 Pro application.
8. Please select Launch Activity to enter the Radio Info
9. Select LTE Only in set preferred network type
I was able to get it working on my huawei y7a sometime last year using settings database editor. Abouy 2 weeks ago i factory reset my device due to an unrelated issue and now when i try to enable it again i get an error saying my system software has rejected the edit. I tried with the version of setedit from f-droid and got the following "Unexpected failure you shouldn't not change private system settings." does anyone know what the problem could be?

I have the same issue with p30 pro. It seems to me that after some recent updates, they've locked those settings somehow.

I found a solution. You would have to use "Adb shell" (usb debugging).
The code is:
adb shell settings put system hw_networkmode_preference 11
