Can't activate high position - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

Hello together,
Yesterday I got my MI 9T. I recognized, that I can't activate "high position".
If I click on high position, it switches always to "only Device".
Is this a software issue?

WIFI Drops after in deep sleep

I'm having this issue:
Wifi will drop connection after a period of time when the screen turn off and when it enter in deep sleep (some seconds after the screen is turned off). Shows normal signal strength but I dont receive the notifications (whatsapp, maildroid, etc, etc)
With mobile network does not happens.
If you want to try this issue, turn off the screen, wait 1 minute and send from other phone a whatsapp message to the G2, in my case the notification will never appear.
How many of you has this issue?
It happened in Nexus 4 and seems is happening in Nexus 5

Wifi, advanced wifi, keep wifi on during sleep. Odd for you that if it disconnects it doesn't revert to mobile data. I have not seen this issue, in multiple data situations.

"keep wifi on during sleep" doesn't work, even people with the new Nexus 5 has the same issue
Maybe it's your router timing out and losing it upon reconnecting (stuck in connected state)? I once had that problem on my Spectrum and know it was a part android issue. Had to set a static ip between router and phone. Issue disappeared when I went to CM. No issue on my G2 with "shadow connections" or disconnects.
check your battery saving settings, with one setting, switch off radios when not using this occured

Is not a problem of my router, I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 near the G2, the Galaxy S2 does not have any issue, it receives notifications,
the issue is with G2... I will try the static ip if it works

First, pure stock and had the issue, now Rayglobe and the same issue... I dont know if its a fault of the 802B ROM, I want to understand this.
If the battery charger is attached to the phone, there is no issue...
I can't wrap my head around it. Tried and not having issue plugged in or not. Try the static ip. I had the issue with my Spectrum ONLY on my last router with many other devices connected. The hardware and software combo just didn't get along dynamically. That device was the last I have seen the issue.

What version of G2 do you have?
with the phone unplugged the static ip doesnt work too.
Something weird was this, if the phone is plugged to the charger, it received the notification even if I setup WIFI OFF when the screen is off...
I can not understand what happens...
Static in both phone and router? Needs to be both. I'm lost bud, sorry I couldn't help. VS980.

can it be the same kernel bug that makes my phone reset the radio every now and then? I'm starting to question if this is a faulty radio, bad reception or just a stupid bug...

What's the point of this file? How can I use it?
I have a similar issue:

For the notification issues it may work disabling "WiFi optimization" in advanced settings.
Thanks!

cannot connect to camera- camera error

I searched the internet and saw many people who have that problem on 4.2.2 but never on LG G2. I have that error sometimes but after a restart the camera works again. Any way to solve this? What is causing this problem? Software or hardware? Does anybody have that problem on this phone? I'm on europe open d80210a software. Thanks!
Only experienced this on Stock-ROMs. CM never had this problem afaik (at least not me when I was on CM), so I'd guess it's software-related.

That is strange, stock rom suppose to be the most stable, am I wrong?
Is it possible that I'm the only one with that problem?

No, you are not the only one. I have the same issue ad I have to restart the phone to get camera works. Also, I searched internet and seems other LG G2 users have the same issue.

I looked the internet too but did not find anything about that problem with LG G2
I found that if I had snapchat open on the camera and locked my screen it would give me this error and I would have to restart, maybe it's happening in other apps that use your camera?

[Q]I have to wake up the S-Voice twice

When i'm outside of S-voice app i have to say hi galaxy to wake up the phone and open the app and then say it again to activate the voice recognition which makes me look like i'm working with imperfect device as I have to repeat myself. AFAIR it didn't use to happen when I first got it. Anyone can relate? Any way to solve it? Thanks everyone in advance.
You're right, it wasn't an issue before. I guess the last update broke something. Same problem here.

that s because of security
if you can wake up phone by voice and immediately it can perform command it can be vulnerability

The thing is I use an app that unlocks the phone when connected to my home WiFi so when the phone is not secured beside of lockscreen, vulnerability shoudln't be a factor. I've also found out that OK google wakes up the phone, hears my request but nothing pops up, i can just hear the sound and it doesn't act on the command given. Strange things are happening .

I tryng this but not working my note 4 keybord size is small plz help me any one

No wifi again after disabling it

Hey guys!
I´m facing a really annoying problem and i´m afraid it could be hardware related...
First of all, i didn´t use the 6p as my main phone so i cannot say since when this problem persists.
I wondered about this: i was connected to my wifi network. After sometime i looked at the phone - it was disconnected from the ap. I tried to re-enable it but no luck, just a restart brings it back. Used omni and thought, okay...might be an aosp thing.
Just installed CM (everything included, baseband, radio, vendor) - if i disable wifi and wanting to enable it again, i don´t get any access to my ap. If i restart the phone it´s there.
Please take a look at the video i made to show this problem. https://youtu.be/STUeUdZ3WyY
Thanks in advance!
Ummm... Nobody? :/

How did you fix it? MY wi-fi randomly ceased working a few days ago, too.

Flicking icon to 4g when WiFi is on.

I have strange thing happening when I'm connected to wifi and data is on its constantly flicking from one to another? Anyone have same thing?
Had the same problem on the EU version B03. I Deleted the apn's. Manually add them again and now it's working perfectly for me. No more flickering.
Tks have eu version as well I try.

I would have never though that this is why it stopped on my phone. I did it quite different purpose. ?
I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only one having this issue after updating to B03, even though the change log mentions that this issue is resolved. I've tried a factory reset and APN deletion as suggested but it doesn't help. I've moved from a OP3 to the Axon 7 recently (very difficult decision) and as much as I like to tinker with my phones, I suppose the EU folks have to be patient to enjoy the true potential of this device.
Hoping this issue gets a workaround or the next update fixes it. For now, assuming this flickering takes up battery, I've just disabled mobile data from the quick toggle.
P.S. Iv'e tested it and I'm pretty certain that it doesn't indicate that the Wi-Fi is continuously disconnecting. It's just the icons acting up. Also, no mobile data is used while this happens.

May I ask how you delete the APN? The only one I have is greyed out and I can't seen to delete it. I created another one and mirrored the settings from the original which seemed to do the trick but alas I was wrong.
I have the US version but flashed B03 onto so I could enable the on-screen sift keys with Gravity box.
Thanks!

in my case i had this problem with B03 and never changed APNs, upgrading to B05 fully solved the problem (just checked, APNs are still the same as B03 for my operator)

Yes but it didn't work this time unfortunately.
This is such an annoying issue to have. I initially thought this takes no battery being just a cosmetic and not a functionality issue but I'm inclining to believe that it is actually switching to mobile network and back. Can anyone confirm this?
I think it is there was some app don't remember name witch check all network info and u can check there when is flicking it's changing status from wifi to 4g

I just ran a quick watchdog test and watched a video on YouTube for a few minutes. I also have a flicking 3g icon. After a few minutes on YouTube with flicking icon there was 0 bytes used on mobile data, so I guess this is just a cosmetic problem.

I was certain there was no data loss, however battery loss maybe a possibility. Purely speculating.

Since I don't really trust my GSam, I have no idea how to test this. At least it's not using mobile data, that's for sure.
