Does anyone knows how to edit the shortcuts? - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

When you unlock using the fingerprint if you hold while unlocks and then swipe you'll see this menu do you guts know if it's possible to edit those shortcuts? I'm using MIUI global stable 10.3.9.1 no root boot loader locked

Hi, this is in the "screenlock and password" menu then fingerprint, then shortcut.

no, you can't edit them this way, you can only activate this fonction or not.

as he said, you can't change these, at least for now.

Is there a way to root the phone without decrypting it?

I'm currently unrooted on locked bootloader, and I'd like to keep my phone encrypted.
I read that newer versions of TWRP work with an encrypted device, but can I unlock the bootloader while keeping the phone encryted?
The process of unlocking your bootloader will wipe it, not rooting it or loading twrp. Your phone will still be encrypted when your done unlocking the bootloader. I imagine it's a safety feature if someone steals your phone that it wipes it if they try breaking in by unlocking the phone.

Thank you! So I can unlock the bootloader and then flash TWRP while keeping the encryption?
Yes
So change the pin code used for accessing the encryption key (which can be different than the short screen unlock one)
Otherwise encryption is useless (default password is... "default_password")

Yea you're right but if attempting to break into a phone through twrp with " default_password" as pass code won't work. It won't recognize that value

I'm pretty sure both are the same no matter what you do. The code you'll have to enter on TWRP will get set once first boot is done and pattern or pin or passcode is selected during setup. That's the key that'll let twrp decrypt the partitions. If you ever flag a new ROM and change the method, it'll also change for TWRP as well.

Not sure if I understand correctly what you mean but decryption key can be different from unlock pin. There's an API to change the decryption key so there are apps to make a super long decryption key while still having a small unlock pin code CM even integrated this distinction in their settings menu.
People have asked this feature to google for ages (as well as reboot after x wrong pin code) but they are still waiting..

Is the unlock animation as smooth as whn v unlock by sliding up? Bcuz the autoinput stuff unlocks the lockscreen which is laggy (or frame by frame)
It doesn't work dude it makes my OS unstable after installing xposed

Why would you want to relock it? But if you wish to do so, you'll need to firstly enable developer options, once done go to settings then developer options, then you will see oem unlock, if that switch is to the right then boot loader is unlocked, to relock bootloader just press and move so that switch is to th3 left

You're mixing up two different things, oem unlock that unlocks the bootloader is disabled on the g950f, you have to enabled it yourself. The unlock code is for carrier locks, totally different thing. You might as well root it now and use magisk to hide root from netflix.

That happens when you have root, nothing to with unlocked bootloader

That's the thing, I wasn't rooted but I had unlocked bootloader and it wasn't working.
Now that I've rooted it using Magisk, the device is "certified"

Huawei Nova 3i.. OEM Unlock and Root?

I'm quite interested in buying this device (Nova 3i), but it's very important to me that i can root it.
I've noticed that the option "OEM Unlock" is not greyed out, and can be easily enabled, at least in the devices that are sold in my country.
So the question is:
Is it enought to enable "OEM Unlock" in "Developer Options" from the phone settings to unlock the bootloader and I can simply install TWRP afterthat?
Or do I still have to unlock it using unlock key from Huawei Website (which is unavailable)?
And if not, is there any other way to root it? Has anyone had luck in rooting it (e.g. Kingroot, etc)?
Thanks in advance.

Bypass lock code?

So I sold this phone on swappa fully functional and the buyer managed to get some kind of lock code on the device and returned it. Anyway how do I fix this since I can't even get to settings or anything without this code? It's not a FRP, it boots to the lockscreen but when you unlock instead of going home it goes to this screen where it asks for a code. What do I do?
Does it show how many digits it's asking for? Is it sprint variant or open market?

Sprint variant and no it doesn't show the number of digits so I have no idea on that.

Is there a non sprint sim in it? It might be networked locked now via the customer messing around.

I kind of do think it is asking for a netowork unlock code most likely. However, I don't really know how to bypass it because I can't get to the settings to enable USB debugging or anything.
I would suggest trying the Back to Stock zips on it because it wipes everything and see if that works. You can also try and load TWRP and use it to delete the lock screen password files and then flash the boot image so it boots normally and then you should be able to swipe to dismiss the lock screen. Hope this helps you out

I believe in fastboot mode you don't need usb debugging. In fastboot is where the network unlocking happens.
