Whats up with voicemail ?

Just noticed that i have 15 voicemails which never showed up....Doesnt Vibrant have regular voice mail ? I erased visual voicemail client (i believe it was a tmobile app) and i dont get any voicemails...??
EDIT: also noticed that under voicemail settings i am not able to change the number (it doesnt allow me)
I am having the same issue. I have mine rooted and deleted visual voice app. Ever since, no notifications show up for voicemail. May try to re-install VV. Anyone have any ideas other than this?
Using Google voicemail now......
why did you delete visual voicemail?!
is it possible that your account still has visual voicemail on it and not regular? Not sure if it matters in terms of tmos system

I re-installed VV but did not activate it. Now my voicemail notifications show up in the notification bar. Have always been on the fence about using Google Voice.
Uninstalled visual voicemail because i don't need it, I have never used it on nexus one as well. So is that the reason for not getting any notification on vibrant ? Is stock app a tmobile app from market ?

Interesting, so yoy actually need this app to get any voicemail ? Again, is it the app from market ?

Visual Voicemail no longer works - no longer getting VM notifications.

My visual voicemail randomly decided it was going to start giving this error:
Communication error:
Your current settings do not allow data communications.
I'm on 3g with full signal, and all of my other applications are working over the internet. Anyone else experience a similar issue?
have you tried a free visual voicemail client? tmobile visual VM hardly ever works good for me...

Is your wifi currently enabled? 'Cause TMo's Visual Voicemail doesn't work over wi-fi. Seriously. It's one of the absolute worst Android apps ever written. Such a piece of junk.
Anyhow, after *much* frustration, I finally switched over to the (awesome!) Google Voice app for my voicemail. No phone number to switch *and* it works just dandily. Very happy to have made that change.
Hope that helps.
Anyone know what directory default T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app is located???
Lol, no certainly wifi is not on. I've removed the readded the vvm package, and still no go.
Will the google voice app pull from my t-mobile voicemail?
You should really try google voice

Visual Voicemail - why is there a switch for Visual VM but I don't have Visual VM?

I on T-Mobile. When I switch Visual VM to ON I still need to dial into the VM to listen to messages.
Any idea why?
Anyone?

Will Visual Voicemail work in the Samsung phone app if I disable T-Mobile VV?

Can someone comment on whether visual voicemail works outside of the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app IF I DISABLE the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app (using package disabler)?
I noticed the Samsung phone app has visual voicemail, is it going to work if I disable the Tmo app?
Thanks!
I figured it out after about an hour of testing.
The stock Samsung phone app's Visual Voicemail works fine, so it's perfectly safe to delete Tmo's voicemail app. BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT you have to first open Tmo's app, allow everything, and get it all set up (e.g. get past everything so that you're able to listen to an actual voicemail). Probably load one voicemail just to be safe. Then it's OK to delete the app and just rely on the Visual Voicemail and notification functionality of Samsung's stock phone app.
Turns out that's wrong and it's still a cluster****. It worked, but if you restart the phone it's broken again. If anyone figures it out please leave a reply as this thread will likely be viewed by people over the next year or so.
The Samsung ROM has visual voicemail built in, and it's specifically Tmo's visual voicemail functionality on this Tmo variant model. So it should do visual voicemail fine without the branded T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app which is so non-necessary that it even lets you uninstall it.
only v voice mail that i have is t mobile v voice mail. i don't have any other additional apps for v voice mail. Why do you want to remove t mobile version?
I'm on TMobile and I got TMobile's variant of the S8 Plus. When I press the VM button in the dialer, it just calls the VM number. What does your Samsung ROM VVM look like? Are you on TMobile's variant?
Is it possible to use the native Samsung dialer visual voicemail or not? I take it not possible like it is on ATT?

Google Voice issues with OP5

Hello all, ever since I changed my phone to OP5 I've noticed my voicemail goes to my carrier (AT&T) and not Google Voice. I've never had a Google # and only used the app to receive voicemail (free visual VM app). I've gone through all the online options to set up GV from Google's website but I've noticed the option under legacy GV to "active VM on this device" is no longer listed.
Is it my phone or has the app changed? Any help to get GV to work again would be great. If this is no longer a feature of GV unless you have a Google #, then any suggestion on an alternative visual VM would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ok so it appears not to be my phone but the app itself
Does anyone know why my carrier VM is getting messages and not GV?
