Today I purchased my Acer Iconia A500 to mount in my car as my all-in-one radio deck. Its mounted straight up in portrait mode with the rotation lock on. My only problem is when I open the market, it automaticaly goes to landscape.
Does anyone know how to browse the market app in portrait?
Thank you in advance!
Market is only in landscape, I think (sorry for my english)

Has anyone found an application that allows/works for searching OPDS Catalogs? When ever I search with FBReader my NTG will reboot itself. I have always used FBReader on my tablets and phones and the search works fine on them. I recently bought 2 NST and another NTG for the rest of the family. I have not tested this on a NST but my NTG will not search with 1.2.1 firmware nor would it search when I had an earlier version. I have also tried Cool Reader and it does not seem to search though it does not cause the NTG to reboot. I could not get Aldiko or Moon to install to test them.
Anyone have any ides/thoughts?

I will install and try FBReaderJ tonight and see if it works.
I am not holding my breath based on this issue on the github for FBReaderJ:

Search Crashes OS on Nook

Running a search on a rooted Nook causes the OS to crash and re-boot - every time.

This is exactly what I get.
I did try the latest version of fbreaderj and it still caused the device to reboot when doing searches on OPDS catalogs...
Just wanted to let everyone know that the nook versions of Page Turner Epub Reader in this forum does work for searching. I do wish it supported adding more than one OPDS catalog though.

Hello,
I can't find here any solution for my problem.
I use multi-user on Nexus7. Everything works fairly fine, but for me very important aplication - Google Talk - don't work under other users (only under owner).
I try use alternative client (eg. TiMessenger), but here don't work video-chat via Talk Network. Yes, I can use eg. Skype, but I like Talk and I want use it under every user on my Nexus7.
I have now ROOTed Stock ROM. Exist some possibilities of solution on this ROM? Or may I use some custom ROM (eg. CyanogenMod or any other).
Thanks for answer
Solution is here: Hangouts

Everybody are freaking out the new android 4.4 apps, but I haven't seen any thread about them yet.
So I put all the apks in my dropbox folder here in case you guys need them
Installation
In order to get a proper functionally launcher, you have to install Google Play Services, then Google Search and for last, the itself launcher. Before you open it, open Google search, search something, reboot, open again Google search and search something else. After these steps you can open the launcher with no errors.
Tips
- If you don't like Google Now in the left side of the home, tap and hold on the screen and choose settings, then shut down Google Now
- If you want more than 2 screen, put a widget (google search isn't a widget, so don't bother asking ) like a clock on the main screen, then, from app drawer, pick an icon and put it on the right side of the home.
That's it, have a nice downloading

Mine are well defined, that's strange. Are you running on a stock rom? I'm running the new launcher on Slimsaber and they're pretty good looking.
Any others at all??

Cheers for this. All apps seem to install fine on Carbon 1.8 (JB 4.2.2)... just need to backup and uninstall the originals first before installing these newer version.
You don't by chance have any of the other Google/system apps do you. Specifically the contacts, Google Plus, Play Store (the app not the service as provided) Calendar and Google Maps??
Cheers in advance

Updated with Google+.apk and Calendar.apk (take a while for uploading). Play Store and Maps haven't been updated, so they're the same that you can find in the last gapps.
Maybe someone will be able to help me with the problem with the SwiftKey keyboard. So one by one. I've always used an older version of the app. But because of the gradual out of the possibility of logging in I used version 7.4.0.18 (somehow like that), but in the end and in it stopped working the option to log in (authentication error). And now yes. This version I have as copies in titanun backup. If I can restore it works but after some reset unless it is logged out of the account and can no longer log in (I must I have to restore its data from tb again). When he wants to install a higher version outside OF SUCH STORES AS GOOGLE PLAY, AC MARKET and APTOIDE then either I can not install it (message that the application was not interested), or some miracle installs but when trying to turn it on shows error that has been stopped.
And now the most interesting. I can install this keyboard Through the aforementioned stores (i.e. Google Play, ac market and Aptoide, but if I do it with the last two (that is, ac market and aptoide), then the keyboard is only in English (it is not about writing and for example gifs that are signed in that English language), I have so on the tablet (Lenovo tab 3 8' plus ) and phone (samsung galaxy a8 2018). Previously, everything worked properly. The format does not help. The strange thing is that this happens on two devices.
