Just got my Arc today. Connect up via wifi to various diff sources, same issue. After approx 2 mins, signal bars for wifi remain static, never move and connection issues occur. This happens on anything from market, web, gmail etc.
Repeatable on various diff routers, only way to recover is turn off wifi and reactivate it, then it will last another 2 mins.
Checked and running latest firmware. Faulty device?
Maybe, my wifi works fine.
Yeah starting to think that. Both my galaxy s, and iphone 4 stay connected all the time at decent rates. Watching the router stats the mac for the ARC just drops down to 1, then dies. Also noticing bad range, like anything more than 3m away from router and no signal.
Hi there. yes i have the same problem with my arc.... but not allways, yesterday when i was on market,downloading its stops at 40% and thats it, i must turn off wifi and turn back on, that will help..but after few minutes (downloading,browsing,facebook) it again stops,and again the same. But its not allways after 2 mins... one time is working fine without problems even one day is ok ,and sometimes is doing this. yesterday i get a error from arc something like that " error parsing packets" . And what i have noticed on 3G is doing the same, i tried to download yesterday the same file with 3G conection and it stops again. So i think this is not only wifi problem...i dont know.any clues?sugestions? sorry for my english xd

The WiFi is pretty well known already, it happens also to me and quite a few other owners of the Arc. From my experience it is related to Youtube application or video playing/flash pages because most often it occurs when using them.
Sometimes I would be able to use the WiFi connection for more than a day without issue, while other times it stops working twice in 5 minutes. Pretty weird behavior, but I'm guessing it is a combination of a software issue and the newer support for draft n wireless connection.

Upon searching the web it seems like many other people are experiencing the same kind of bug where the wifi drops and even says it low signal when you know for a fact its full signal. I have a e3000 fairly old router but good, sitting right next to it and i get these messages with the note 3 about the wifi being unstable. Some people said to uncheck the auto switch to 4g in the advanced wifi settings but that doesnt fix it either. Anyone else having the same problems?
Looking under my WiFi setting and I don't have an ADVANCE line to go to. I only have 1 line that reads Notify me. I started getting 'Unstable Network today' and I'm not connecting currently.
Is anyone else having terrible WiFi performance? It seems to work just fine for the first 30 seconds of connecting, then no data is transferred. My tablet and laptop are working just fine next to me. I have never really gotten my WiFi to work that well in the first place. Anyone know how to fix this? I've done a hard reset, tried a different ROM. Nothing makes a difference.
if you have a dlink router, you have to go out and update the firmware for the router. I had the same issues then updated my routers firmware and no more problems.
This is one of the issues I am closely monitoring. I use wifi 99% of the time. If it isn't useful I don't want the phone. I am trying to decide between this and the Note 3.
none here check your battery saving settings, that coukd switch off wifi at some time
I have the newest fw for my S5 and I have a lot of problems with WiFi. Sometimes I just get the err_name_not_resolved
In chrome and then I have to disable and enable WiFi and everything is OK again for perhaps an hour or a day... My phone also keeps getting warm and I suspect it has something to do with WiFi?!
I have tried reinstall my phone and my router is a Asus new one.

I got a p10+ 2 had no issue so far. However since b366 I have issues with usage on WiFi. Google search works ok, some apps works sometimes, majority of apps only works on 4G.
Internet connection is stable, all other devices got no issues whatsoever in our household.
Also noticed when I switch off WiFi mobile data get switched off automatically.
Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Solved. New telstra smart modem seems to fixed the issue.
