My s10+ gets really hot when watching youtube videos. Keep in mind I'm on optimized mode, wifi, screen brightness is kept under the orange portion. Highest it reached was close to 170 per cpu monitor. Anyone else experiencing this? Dont rememeber my s9+ getting this hot
Me too
Yes I too get this its due to the change in design with the s10 line they are configured to use heat pipes to dissipate heat away from the processor part of the dissipation system is the glass at the back of the phone. This does happen with other devices too but the placement of the processor itself on the s10 makes it more notice able.
With most phones it's at the top near the cameras but with the s10 it is on the left side halfway down the phone so this is most likely where the heat will be concentrated. So it is not an issue with the phone it is just the design .
Have put an example of processor placement on one plus 6t vs s10 plus processor is circled
lol mine gets crazy hot playing games watching youtube basically it's hot whenever i use it

the back camera part of my phone gets really hot when the phone is in use. likewise, the top front part of the screen gets hot as well. is this normal? i paranoid that it damages the camera. (my note 3 doesnt take the best pictures, they come out washed out and blurry for a 13 mp camera.) it seem to happen randomly, i dont have to be doing a heavy task for it tonstart heating up.

Guys, open this video in full-screen in an absolutely dark place, like an enclosed room, and with the brightness of the screen at most. Does your screen have a lighter part at the top? Mine looked as if the screen had turned off at the bottom and with a few spots of light on the top. I do not know if it is due to the processor heat that is in the area.

Sorry for my bad english
No, mine looks evenly black. On another note, I was sort of expecting the Rick roll.
Call and see if they'll exchange it maybe? I replaced 2 or 3 of my old Nexus 5's for severe screen artifacts with no issues. Never had a problem with the 6P, though.
Edit: Wait, with AMOLED, when true black is displayed (hex=000000) it doesn't even turn the pixel on at all. You shouldn't see anything at all if it's displaying true black since the pixels shouldn't even be on..
I did the test with the cold cell phone and the screen went completely black. As I live in Brazil and the weather here is hot, the processor sometimes reaches up to 60 degrees or more. The times I saw these minor changes was when the phone was warm and well in the region where the SOC is. The difference in temperature of the lower and upper region of the screen is gigantic. But in normal use it is impossible to see this variation. It is only possible to see with the cell phone very hot and with all the lights out of the environment, and cellphone with the maximum brightness.
Just wanted to post my issues here to see if anyone else is experiencing similar ones.
1. The oleophobic coating looks to be coming off after 1 week of use, right where I usually pull down the notification shade. I've never used any chemical or liquid cleaners on the display. Here are some pictures: https://imgur.com/a/gKvVB
2. Scrolling in any menu or app has the jitters. I haven't experienced this on Android since 2012, likely because it's been all Nexus and Pixel phones for me since then. I've tried to make a video of it. I feel like it's hard to show but at least it shows where and at what speed I'm seeing these jitters. Anyone else? I feel like the Pixel has ruined me.
Here is the video: https://vid.me/qJHDE
Man I just got rid of a Mi Note 2 that's oleophobic coating was gone and it drove me nuts... I've only had my essential for about 4 days now... I usually get a good 3 months or so at least before the coating goes away (I'm a mechanic). I rarely keep phones longer than that anyway so its not usually a big deal. I can't live with no coating though... I hate having nasty ass screens.
Here is a better video showing the dragging and skipping that goes on: https://vid.me/n00Er
Releasing your finger while scrolling will always result in a smooth animation. However, if you scroll at the right pace and keep your finger on, you get the jitters like in the video above.
I already sold my Pixel but I tried my roommate's Pixel in a side-by-side comparison, and the stuttering on the Essential was incredibly obvious.
This really shouldn't wear off that quickly but you can readd a coating that feels basically the same.

I've been using this on phone screens for quite a while, it doesn't seem to last as long as factory but it does do a good job while it lasts. You will also probably get 50+ applications out of a bottle so it really isn't expensive to add more every month or so.
I am encountering an issue related to my Nokia 5 screen
When phone becomes little heated while using in surrounding then screen color , saturation ,contrast changes
Screen become oversaturated ,everything become so ghost like and after 2-3 sec it become normal
Again after 10 sec it become oversaturated or overcontrasted
I don't know what is this appending with my phone ,everything starts looking so whitish please help
Stop playing heavy duty games....not only does the heat affect your screen, but had long term issues on the innards (glue, plastic connectors & micro-soldered points), but also reduces battery life....If you still want to game, buy a higher end phone....N5 is not meant for it.
I don't play any game on it
This problem occurs when direct sunlight is falling on it (even in morning mild sunlight)
Hello,
I am planning to get a Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2:
But i have seen issues like the bottom curves are not smooth and while playing PUBG, bottom edges remain curved but top edges are straight 90 degree cuts..
Despite have 5000 mAh battery , which is same as Moto One Power, it has 1-2 hours less screen on time as i had seen on YouTube ...
Will Asus fix this and is it perfect buy ??

About the curve issue I am positive it should be fixed with update. Battery is slightly less then Moto one power because it has slightly less powerful processor, which I guess could be optimised with software update but don't expect much improvement.
