I am running Mdj's 2.3 1.8A build and haven't felt the need to upgrade to a newer version as everything seemed to work fine....Until now. I recorded a 15 minute video last night but it said the file was not supported. I've tried recording videos on the various settings but have only managed to record 2 movies on the high and youtube after many many reboots. Does anyone have a clue how to resolve this? without the ball ache of installing a newer rom.
Hi, i just installed (wipe/factory reset of course) the new beta 8 of the mentioned rom for my Desire Z. If i want to record videos with the installed camcorder, that freezes after 3-4 seconds of recording video, the preview window is getting slower and slower fps, then it crashes and tells me "camera was closed" (Kamera wurde beendet).
Anybody else experiencing that?

Camera is not working fully on this mod, you just have to wait. That's why I'm holding off any custom roms with Android 4 until it's stable enough to use it everyday.
If it won't I will just have to sell the phone and get a new one.
Yeahh.. I just switched to Andromadus Audacity (B4) where it works. Cant they share their codebase? or isnt it already?
As far as i've tested and read it only works in 480p on CM9.
720p is still bugged.

As the title suggests, the camera app crashes on my 6p while doing slow motion video. I've seen a few mentions of this here and there on the web, with suggestions to factory reset / wipe cache, etc. I have tried this but no luck. I don't really see a definitive answer anywhere, but see quite a few complaints about it.
What happens is the camera app crashes when trying to take slow motion video, while zoomed in, either at 120 fps or 240 fps. I haven't seen anybody else mention this specifically while zoomed in, but that's what's happening to me. If I'm in the camera app and switch to slow mo video, then zoom in, move the phone around a bit, the app freezes and crashes with a "cannot connect to camera" error 100% of the time. I don't even have to start recording, the screen just starts to get jumpy, then eventually freezes completely. It's not a random thing, I can replicate the problem over and over.
Anybody else? I'm running 6.0.1, with the Dec 3 Google camera update.

Mine freezes up, no FC. Definitely a bad bug the mothership needs to squash. Just tried it a second time and no freezing? wtf Google.
Edit: forgot to mention, bone stock, no root 6.0.1
I am also stock, no root. It crashes every single time for me, restarting doesn't help.
EDIT: I should mention this happens when zoomed in fully, either on 120 or 240 fps. I don't even have to try to record anything, it crashes before recording even starts. The screen gets jumpy, and a few seconds later freezes entirely. I can see also the little laser on the back seems to be stuck on. Almost like the auto focus got overloaded and froze. The more I move the camera around with it trying to focus, the faster it freezes.
Also, if by chance I can get an actually video taken, the playback is horribly choppy, pretty much unusable.
I also get this about 50% of the time time I'm running stock.

Think this is a software glitch? Seems like a fairly easy to reproduce bug but I don't see a lot of mention of it, if any on the Internet. Just want to make sure it's not hardware related.
hey, my autofocus started to act lately and ive got no idea what might be the problem.
after waking phone phone and running camera app (tried with other than stock, might have been slight improvement, but it could be mental aswell) phone cant get to focus on anything further than up to half meter far. after awhile (sometimes even more than 10 seconds) of struggle it snaps into focus and from that point it works flawlessly and extremely fast even going from macro to distance.
Its very annoying especially in situations when i need to have camera ready to shoot photo/video as soon as take my phone out of my pocket.
ive already reverted my phone to latest stock nougat without improvement.
It works the same way despite app used so i dont think its app issue and once it gets the focus it works flawlessly so it doesnt look like a raw hardware problem. Maby theres a setting somewhere in the system responsible for camera behavior?
Any1 who had similar issue and found a solution?
Hello everybody.
Recently i installed the gcam 8.2 by parrot043. Everything is working fine except the slow motion at 1/8 speed that crashes the app everytime i try to open it.

It fixed the issue but it made the phone randomly stop getting acess to camera until i restarted it.
I've dirty flashed my rom to get rid of the problem and now i was wondering if there is an alternative method to fix the 1/8 slow motion.
