Hello,
I wanted to know if apple watch can be charged from s10+ or not. I tried charging my apple watch but it doesnt work. I could only see the blue light blinking near HRM at the back of S10+ when I turned on reverse wireless power share but my apple watch did not charge from it no matter wherever I tried to put it.
Please let me know if it can charge apple watch or not. I am confused whether my device's wireless power share is not working or apple watch can charge only from supported apple watch magnetic wireless charger ?
Thanks
I just tried it with my wife's watch and it wouldn't charge it.

Apple doesn't use Qi technology on Apple Watch. It doesn't work

Hi all
Does anyone know a good QI wireless charger that i can buy in the UK. I've looked at all the ones people have posted but there doesn't seem to be any UK shipping/stock anywhere
Any other UK guys had any luck?

There's plenty about it in the wireless charging orb thread, pages in fact, take a look there for info
look on play/ebay for maxell air voltage - £39.99 thats pretty much your lot at the moment, there are some generic Chinese items starting to show up too.
As Higgsy says your options are extremely limited at the moment in the UK and the only one "readily available" is the Maxell Qi charger. A company called SmartGear Ltd UK is selling the Maxell one (I purchased one and it works great). Here are the relevant links :-
http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/...0-LG-Nexus-4-Google-Nexus/ListingDetails.html
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Maxell-Ai...ories_MobilePhoneChargers&hash=item4abf0ef238
Both links are from the SAME seller so it depends on where you feel more comfortable buying from.
Bitmore do one as well but I've only just registered this username so I can't post the link until I have 10 posts (for christ's sake)
Google "Bitmore Charging pad" and you'll find it - 40 quid also
There's a thread on this over at modaco. I'd post the linky but....
Really a gimmick, no? And you cant effectively use it whilst its charging.

Its not a gimmick at all mate, it works great and my phone is always topped up nicely. If I want to use the phone I pick it up off the charger and use it - once I've finished I chuck it back on the charger, which is where it stays until I pick it up next time, meaning its constantly topped up. I still have a standard usb charger as a back up in the bedroom and at work, however I have only needed to user this once since getting the wireless mat.
You need to experience using it to appreciate the benefits.
Just got the Maxell Qi charger this morning. Seems to charge my Nexus 4 fine but doesn't respect the "Stay awake" developer option.
Is there any way to keep the screen on whilst wirelessly charging, so I can use Daydream or keep track of notifications?

Hm I had no problem with the phone using daydream and Maxell. Have you got the option "when to daydream" ticked for "while charging" ?
I personally do not use daydreaming with wireless charging because A) it increases the time it takes for the wireless charger to charge your phone if you have the screen on constantly (which is what daydream does) and B) I was extremely uncomfortable with the amount of heat generated with wireless charging + the daydream option enabled. When I wirelessly charge with daydream running my phone hits 45c, if I wireless charge with daydream turned off my phone never goes above 36c. There is clearly a problem with daydream using way too much power and I hope Google fix it.
Those poo pooing wireless charging really need to be more open minded. This is NOT a gimmick it is a very useful feature, just having the ability to plonk the phone down and it automatically charges is a huge convenience it is on a par with "remote controls for TV's" Yes you don't need a remote control for your TV you can easily get up and change the channel with the buttons on the TV however a remote control these days is better and far more convenient and it is the same with wireless charging. Sure you can use USB charging but wireless charging is more convenient and leads you into a habit of always having your phone charging so it will always have a decent level of charge in it thus negating the fact you can't use it whilst it is charging.

Cheers, I've got Daydream working now, although I can't get the screen to stay on like when it's plugged in. I think you're right about Daydream though - having the screen on does slow down the charging rate...
I have this charger and it works nicely, only issue i had was the delivery was a bit slow, but i'll put that down to it being christmas time when i ordered

I have all my wireless chargers plugged all the time. During the week, at work, I have my phone on the orb at least 8hrs a day, so don't worry about the phone. The wireless charging on the N4 will stop and discharge once at 100% and will start charging when the phone reaches ~95%. Keep in mind at 100% it still says charging if you use anything like the battery extension in dashclock and uccw widgets, but really it's topped off.
Hope not because Ive never unplugged any of mine. None of the 3 orbs or the cheap fasttech one I use at work and none of them have issues. The wireless charging systems are aware and shut-off when no phone is engaged, that is why ones with lights light up when your phone is on them.
However, just like classic "wall warts" the transformer box plugged into the wall will continue to draw power even if the phone isnt charging. So you will see power consumption on your bill.
Thanks love my wireless charger

Thinking about getting one of these cheaper third party charging pads from Amazon but was curious as to wheter or not I need a special case for the device or if wireless charging works out of the box with any compatible pad. I ask because my LG G3 supported wireless charging but you need a special battery cover/case to use it and I wasn't about to do all that haha. Thanks!

I ordered the Samsung knock off from Amazon and it works fine with my case

The S7 and Edge support wireless charging out of the box. No accessories necessary (except for the wireless charger, of course).
I bought a stupid cheap one for my g3, works great on s7e...

Do the 3rd party wireless support fast charging?
I don't think so as mine is a bit slower than just plugging it in but I use it for the overnight charge anyway...

Buy this: http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-wire...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
My S7 Edge does fast wireless charging on this. Very quick. You have to make sure to use the Adaptive QC Charger that came with your S7 Edge or another QC Adaptive charger.

Yea I just read the reviews. It's the equivalent to the knock off Samsung fast wireless charger that I also got on amazon. 2 hour charge. Not bad but wish someone had a charger that is just as fast as the wired one

Fast wireless charging is pretty quick, this is the fastest you'll get wirelessly at the current moment. If you want any faster you have to plug in.

Bought this one weeks and go it it works great! for my S7 Edge on fast and my Note 4 on standard wireless charge speed.
Hey guys, one of my co-workers has a S8 (Cricket). He just noticed that under his settings in the battery section, there is no toggle to enable Fast Wireless Charging under the Advanced options.
I've been searching here as well as in Google for any answers. I've seen a thread or two randomly on other forums, one was a VZW customer who apparently found from their customer service, that there was a known issue on some devices and the fast wireless charging option was removed. Not sure if this was in a series of production, maybe earlier production devices? That specific thread was from the beginning of Dec 2017.
I've really found no concrete answers, and actually don't get anything when I search that is specific to Cricket Devices. I've got an ATT S8+, and I have the option and actually use fast wireless charging every night.
Hoping someone knows a way to force it back, or if this is something to be fixed by Samsung?
***EDIT - I just realized that my boss doesn't have fast wireless charging either, she hasn't been able to use the fast charger we got her for Christmas. She has a Vzw S8+.
TIA
It's available after first use with a fast wireless charger. Just put it on the charger and it will be there. Hope this helps.

We put it on a known working fast wireless charger, no dice. It was actually tried for a short period (30 minutes) and then completely charged on a fast wireless charger overnight. Option still isn't there, nor did it fast charge ever while on the charger.
Anyone else have a suggestion?
Use proper Fast Wireless Charger, like Samsung one. Also with proper strong charger connected to wireless charger...

Yes that's correct
You need a fast wireless charger which is plugged in with a fast or quickcharge adaptor otherwise it won't work

Which one?
On mine it's just a matter of whether or not it's plugged into a fast charging brick. If I want slow charge, I use a charger other than the one that came with the phone. Works on my Verizon S8+ no problem

Choetech, using a fast charging brick and cable from a Samsung S7. Works fine for my ATT dev, have tested with another ATT dev (Note 8) and it worked fine on it as well.
I use the following. Cheap and cheerful. Plus all of them are fast.

It's Not the Charger, block/travel plug or lead.
I am, and always have been a loyal Samsung user since the (slide up) D500 which I still have btw.
Had every other S model as my provider contract is over 18 months so tend to miss a model. S4, S6 now on S8+ and had charger port issues with them all. So Samsung changed the port, and lead to one that even an idiot like me can plug in whilst driving in the dark without breaking it. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when my S8 stopped fast charging. As the title states, I have only ever used the charger and lead supplied with the handset and after past issues am ULTRA carefull when charging.
So I bought a Samsung (EP-PG9201) wireless fast charger. Using S8's f/charger block + lead from my S6 placed S8 on it and yeah, it charges but no fast charge? Followed all the settings advice but no Accessories option in Advanced Features, Device Maintenance, Battery, Advanced Settings but no wireless charge option (fast or otherwise) Yet prior to my purchase I checked these settings to see if S8 was compatable and the wireless option was there but greyed out but now it's gone!?!
Soz for the waffle but IT'S WOUND ME UP 100% Any help or advice that doesn't include charger, block, lead, settings, phone case or software updates would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance guys
Blacksnake
It works..!!!
Thank you... It actually works.

It'll work with any Qi compatible device. However, it's not really worth it to charge other phones because it's slow. Even my Gear S3 charges pretty slowly compared to a charger meant for the S3.
Its more a gimmack than anything right now. It's great if your buds or watch are in desperate need of a charge, or your trying to pack light. Otherwise I'd just stick to what your used to.

I tried to charge my Gear S3 and it kept disconnecting as if it needs to be placed in a perfect "sweet spot".
Could be a case

I have similar problems. It'll work but has to be almost dead center. If I take my case off it's a little more forgiving. It still takes 2-3x longer to charge than with a charger designed for the S3
