Rooting LGMS345 Missing Links - LG Leon Questions & Answers

I am new to rooting. I was able to unlock the bootloader but when I click on the links to root such as LG drivers and root zip. They are dead. Does anyone here happen to have the files?

Or any other methods I can try?

Bricked Verizon G2 - Can't Recover (OTA)

I unfortunately bricked my phone and have been trying for hours to unbrick it via the methods presented in the forums to no avail.
It appears that since I installed the OTA it's a different software image the phone requires instead of the original stock file. Unfortunately I didn't install TWRP on my device either so I'm not able to unbrick it via that method either.
Does anyone know of a method to unbrick an OTA updated device without TWRP?
Also where could I find the tot file for the OTA updated version of stock?
Thank you, I greatly appreciate it!

[HELP] Root and Recovery Lollipop

I know many of you must be tired of reading that noobs like me get stuck in such a simple process... But I've tried everything I can, so now it's my turn to ask for help.
I've updated via OTA to lollipop, but I'm tired of such lagginess, so I wanted to flash some other ROM. I've used the toolkit to unlock bootloader, which worked flawlessly, but I cannot get it to root. I don't get any error or anything, the device resets, it says the process was successful, but I don't get SuperSU and the apps to check root say I don't have the permission. I've tried some other methods, but I failed as well.
What the hell can I do to root, flash a recovery and flash this ROM? I've always done it with my other devices, but I can't manage to do it with my N7 even though it should be the easiest one as it has so much development!
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Sorry for my noobness
Take a look at this thread:
Lollipop Update
You don't need anything installed on the sdcard, but you need to be able to fastboot flash files from your pc. I used this process and successfully got Lollipop with SuperSU and root.

Rooting a Locked bootloader?

Is there a method?
No.
For root you need TWRP and for that you need an unlocked bootloader.
On other devices you are able to root with applications like Kingroot. But last information I have is that Kingroot does not support this device. However, since I am rooted and therefore don't follow the progress on finding other methods, I do not know if any new methods showed up that we do not know about.

I don't know exactly what you mean.
If you mean manual update the firmware then you have two options:
1) flash the zip - That can only be done with a custom recovery (TWRP)
2) place it in your external SD card in a specific folder - Refer to guides here in the forum to learn how
Any updates on this? Thanks!

No you cant root this device without pc, but if you twrp installed then you can do
You need a PC to unlock the bootloader(Cause You need to obtain Unlock code and enter it to unlock it) so that you can flash the custom recovery(Like TWRP).
Since, for Root, you need a Custom Recovery, there is no app that can help you achieve so.

Rooting LenovoTB-83040F1

Hi
I don't even know if this is the correct forum and I apologise if not.
I have a LenovoTB-8304F1 on android 7.0 and I am hoping to root it. I have tried kingroot and kingoroot with no success.
I am hoping for an idiots guide to rooting it.
I am familiar (just) with adb
Any help much appreciated
Thanks
I've installed adb and fastboot on my laptop and got them both to recognise the device.
abd reboot bootloader works fine and the tablet reboots to fastboot
However when I try fastboot oem unlock then I get an error... fastboot remote unknown command.
Any ideas on this?
Thanks
Anybody?
Have you enabled oem unlock in developer options ?
Yes, it is enabled
Did you ever find out how to root the tablet? I have one and am running it stock, with Nova Launcher to hide as much of the bloat as possible.
No, still no luck, sorry

Bootless root can be acquired with diplomatic's bootless root directions
I have verified that the chipset Mediatek 8163 is included in the supported chipsets in the diplomatic bootless root xda link.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/and...armv8-t3922213
What I was able to do.
- use bootless root instructions to root the tablet on startup. Thus, after every restart, system is temporarily rooted again.
- install apps which require root access such as root file explorer.
What I could not do.
- change CPU speed because there are no available custom kernels
- I could not find any custom recovery, custom roms etc.
So, basically you have the same andriod 7 OS, but with root access if you need to use any apps that require root.
Thanks, I'll take a look.
