Issue with an Appilcation on my Samsung Tab A T580 - Samsung Galaxy Tab A series Questions & Answers

Hi XDA community
I've being talking to the developers at Swann in regards to their Homesafe view app not working with my Samsung Tab A T580. But sadly they still haven't acknowledged the following issues:
- Crashing
- Cameras not loading when I open the app
- Cameras not showing up
Its been a real concern for me when I rely Swann security to update there firmware and address bugs I've reported.
The only current fix I've done is downgrading to version 1.1.4 which is also a risk due to not having the latest security patches.
I'm looking for someone to who would like help me to fix issues with the latest version of the Homesafe view application on my Samsung Tablet A T580.
Thank you.

REQ: Newest OTA S Health OTA

I just recently installed "Goldeneye" ROM on the AT&T Galaxy S4. Its a very nice rom that I enjoy a lot, however I do miss the S-Health application. I have found the APK for 1.5.2 - the version that ships with the Galaxy S4 - however this version does not work on my phone (the pedometer does not seem to work correctly - It keeps resetting back to 0 steps every once in a while, effectively making this pedometer function (a function I greatly enjoy) useless.
The updates Samsung has pushed out since this original version had fixed the issue, however I cannot find the APK or updates for this anywhere. Does anyone have the updated APK by chance? I would great appreciate it!
Thank you.
Easiest way to find it is to download and pull it from one of the ROMs that hasn't removed the Samsung Apps. There are several in the forum that still have them.

Please visit the download page here:
http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3t/oneplus_3t_oxygenos_openbeta_3/
If you’ve already flashed a previous Open Beta build, you will receive this update via OTA. If you haven’t, you will need to flash this build by ADB sideload. Your data may transfer, but there is always a possibility of losing personal data, so be sure to backup all of your important data before flashing this build. As stated before, once you flash the Open Beta, you’ll continue getting Open Beta OTAs.
Please follow the link below for the UI/UX experience survey. We’d really appreciate a few minutes of your time, as it will help us make OxygenOS even better. One last thing: this is a limited program, so we may disable this download link once we receive enough feedback.
- Feedback on UI/UX:*https://goo.gl/forms/rj3OMW2eywKGoNfI2
Note: If you flash this Open Beta build, you’ll receive Open Beta OTAs (but not official OTAs). You’ll need to manually (clean) flash back to our official builds to continue receiving official OTAs. Rolling back to official OxygenOS versions require wiping data and cache.
Thank you for your patience and as always, we look forward to hearing your continued feedback in the bug reporting forum here:*https://forums.oneplus.net/feedback/.
Thank you for helping us build a better OxygenOS.
Never settle.

[SOLVED][request] Mi A1 Camera APK from Nougat latest December update or even older

Hi friends and seniors after upgrading to Oreo the blur feature (portrait mode) on my camera seems to be less effective than in nougat. I therefore request everyone who is still on nougat to kindly provide the apk so i can compare. I would be really grateful. Please mention the build also on which u are (security update).
Oreo has been the worst update that I got in this phone, After using half an hour i found out so many bugs, xiaomi certainly released this just for the sake of releasing it. so much of battery drain omg. not good for average user.
Kindly provide the apk if anyone has. Please mention the build also on which u are (security update).
Here i am attaching the full camera folder for u. Its based on latest December security patch. Have fun...
Well I don't have any issues. Potrait works well like Nougat. I did a clean flash .. Also i deleted data from camera. No issues..

Yoga Smart Tab

Hello,
So I got a Lenovo Smart Tab (yt-x703f) and really want to flash TWRP to it, so I can flash LineageOS rom, but it seems like there's no support for it, or even a subthread on XDA.
(I tried various twrp images)
Anyone got some experience with that tablet and have something working?
Cheers
For some reason this device gets the silent treatment on all fora. I can't figure out why, this could be a great multimedia device with some adjustments. batt life is great as is the sound. Screen is ok ish and the speed needs to be tweaked, but no one is willing to tweak
You can root the device and even flash a GSI on it. Tested myself and everything is working
Yoga Smart Tab - Iron GreyPart Number: ZA3V0005US
Not sure if we are talking about the same device but lenovo does not support their mid tier devices with OS updates and would like to install a bloatless OS also pie is really dated and wondering if i will run in to issues with app compatibility. There is also that issue where it won't run HD in netflix because netflix is a static app and can not be removed and reinstalled. Hence bloatware and would love a clean google experience.

Flashing a GSI might help if the device supports Project Treble. Basically any device launched with Android 8 and above should support Project Treble.
Hi, I have a Lenovo Yoga smart tab (YT-X705L) and I want to install a new rom on it. I’m not an IT wizard so I need help with that. Would you find anyone who can give step-by-step instructions from start to finish with download links.
And if you can find experiences on how anything works (which is GSI). Thanks in advance.

Samsung M30s Randomly Restarts After Software Updates - Potential solution?

Hi,
My M30s started randomly restarting after a software update. I could not find solutions here when I searched but it appears a lot of people on the internet having been facing similar issues for quite a few months now. The Samsung community forums are full of multiple messages and Samsung is pushing people to get to their phones to the service centers and are getting the motherboards replaced for free if the warranty is valid (or at a cost of INR 9,000 otherwise).
In any case, I found another poster on the Samsung forums who seems much more tech savvy than I am. And he seems to have solved the problem on his phone by changing 2 lines of code in the Linux kernel wand rebuilding the OS afterward.
Like I said, I am not tech savvy enough for this, but I thought I would post the link here because I could not find this particular fix here.

My phone (SM-M307FN) is rebooting many times every single day due to a Linux kernel issue which has been already fixed a long time ago in the mainline version. I am still running Android 10, because that's the latest version (M307FNXXU2BTC6) of the OS Samsung has released on their open-source portal. I can use this source code to fix and rebuild the OS to prevent the issue from happening.
The issue and the fix is well known among the Samsung M30s community. It's two lines of code that need to be changed to prevent at least one of the common reasons for frequent reboots.
It takes a lot of work for a private user to fix those two lines of code, because Samsung releases source code that's non-trivial to compile and actually run on your device afterwards.
Samsung's Android 11 still ships with the same old kernel version (4.14.62) as their Android 9 (4.14.62), released back in 2018. There might have been some fixes between 4.14.62-19694174 and 4.14.62-20748039 introduced by Samsung in the meantime.
Regardless, this fix is not part of the source code for M307FNXXU2BTC6 (linked above) that's been released by Samsung in June 2020. Therefore, it doesn't seem like Samsung is actually applying all fixes to their kernels.
The kernel itself should have been upgraded to a higher version - at least to 4.19 - to fix bugs that's been plaguing users of Exynos 9611 chips running on Linux v4.14 for a long time.
Samsung: Please apply this fix to your Android kernels and push the update to your customers. Thank you!

Like I said in my post, I am not tech savvy enough to do this. And I am wondering if this problem has been widely reported even. This is the place I expected to find lot of buzz but i dont see any
Everyone is upset with this Samsung's reboot problem. Anyways we users will find a solution.
I am a M30s owner. I have done this on my phone and it's a temporary fix. Atleast try this and wait for the official fix. It's better to have something than nothing.
