How quick your S10+ connects to wifi network? - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

When I turn on the Wifi, it takes about 5 seconds to connect to any saved network. It doesn't matter how many networks you have saved, it always takes about 5 seconds to connect.
On my previous LG V30, where i had a lot of saved networks, it took less than a second. Compared with my firend's Huawei P30 Pro - resut is the same, also about 1 second. Is it possible to change some setting in order to speed up the connection process?

About 5 seconds.

Just did the test, about 5 seconds too. Is that actually an issue?

It depends on the router, at home it's 3 to 4 seconds, at work it can take 20 seconds

About 6 - 7 seconds

Not an issue but pretty annoying when you need to quickly disconnect and connect to the wifi again.

[Q] Another Wifi Problem.

I have the 8gb nexus 4 running on the latest stock Rom, but it seems to disconnect every 30 seconds or so. Is there anyway to fix the wifi without rooting the phone? because i have seen a wifi fix thread before but that required rooting the phone. So is there anyway to get around this? i have tried on a few networks and they all seem to have the disconnecting problem; though some only seem to disconnect every minute or so rather than every 30 seconds.
Thanks in advance.
If you experience disconnects no matter what WiFi you are connected to, and no matter how close you are to the router/access point, you might just have a hardware problem that should be covered by warranty.
You might also try a factory reset

If you have a 2.4Ghz or 5GHz, then under Settings ->Advanced in wifi, select the country you are in and select the exact frequency, don't let the phone select "auto"

Wifi turning off

Hello XDA. I've noticed that my new Note 4 has been dropping the wifi connection while using the Internet. So what happens is the wifi button suddenly becomes grey and I have to press it to enable it again. It works for a while and then it drops off again...then I gotta press it to enable it...
I've discussed this with Verizon and they are suggesting i do the dreaded factory reset.
I have a feeling that I'll be sending this one back...
Any advice from the experts? Thanks in advance.
Are you having this problem at multiple locations or just one? If at multiple locations, I'd have to agree to try a full reset. If at one, could be a router issue.
Just to cover all the bases, you haven't any power management or something like tasker that could be turning off wifi?
No power management software installed and I really haven't used it much anywhere other than my home wi-fi so I guess I should double check it tomorrow on other networks to confirm before the reset.
I had a similar issue with my Note 3 where I couldn't get wifi to stay on no matter where I was and I needed a new phone...that was after using it for 9 months with no issues....this Note 4 is brand new.
If you are using smart network switch option try to disable it and see if its ok

Super Slow on Wi-Fi!?

My Note 4 is slower than a crawl when I'm connected to wifi. Simple Facebook and Twitter refreshes hang for 5 minutes or more on wifi, but are quick like lightning on Verizon network. I'm thinking that it is not my router as the phone behaves the same way on other wifi networks.
Anyone having this issue and/or have a fix?

this seems to have worked for me, but it will remove all saved networks.
Thanks for the reply thedicemaster, but no dice for me. FXR didn't fix it.

I have the same issue. Sometimes, for no obvious reason, the ping to my router becomes 10 seconds. Turning wifi off and on doesn't help it.
But here's what does help: turn flight mode on for 5 seconds then switch it off.
WiFi works like a charm, until the bug happens again after few hours or few days..
Thanks for the tip Hamra. That seemed to work temporarily - will continue to look for a permanent fix.

Wifi Issues?

This isn't a big problem, but if i can solve it why not.
My Nexus 4 doesn't automatically pick up my home and work wifi when the screen is off. My galaxy nexus did the same thing, had a nexus 5 but that would connect even with the screen locked and phone in my pocket.
For the nexus 4 to connect I have to unlock the screen and then the wifi springs into action and connects right away, no need to go into settings or input password.
In wifi settings i have scanning always available on and keep wifi on during sleep as always. I don't have data if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance
I have exactly the same settings and the same problem...euphoria rom, taurus kernel,33-107 hybrid radio...i have just raised the wifi scaning interval to 180 secs..

Did raised the wifi scanning interval worked to solve the issue? I have the same problem, seems a 5.1 problem because im actually using a 5.0 rom and wifi works just fine
Should have mentioned. I'm on 5.1.1 stock and not rooted. Not sure if this has started with 5.1 because I just started using the nexus 4 after my 5 seems to have died. It was on 5.0 and worked as it should.

Some issues on my LgV20

Hi, my phone version is Lg V20 H990DS, software version V10c-TWN-XX and
1) daily I'm noticing a large data usage by OS Service (I find out that in My Data manager app). Why?
2) When I connect my bluetooth headset for audio I don't hear enough loud when I set at maximun level. (My previous Note 4 gave in my headset a louder sound). Why?
3) When I play a clip and I set at maximum level and after I play a second clip the volume is set at a lower level automatically.
Do you have the same issues and eventually how did you fix them?

I'm having bluetooth issues with mine , also it takes awhile for the GPS to lock on to my location. This seems to be an ongoing issue because I also encountered the GPS issue with my G3.

I haven't had any GPS issues with the V20. My note 4 was slow and dropped occasionally, but the V20 has been good for me and my wife.

Some reason with my nexus and the samsung I had it would lock on in seconds. With my v20 it takes up to a minute. Do you leave it on all the time.
Yes, but when I come out of the building it doesn't see anything. But it locks within 10-15 seconds after that.

Yeah but its still pulling location data from wifi and mobile. Have it off for awhile completely turned off and turn it back on and see if it connects that quickly.

Sorry I forgot to do this Friday. I just checked and mine gets GPS lock very quickly. Have you checked any connectors on the back of the device? I know on my old note 4 the connectors had a terrible connection until I bent them a bit so it touched better.
