S10+ G9750 Network Display Problem - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

I have a problem My S10+ Showing The Network Type In Status Bar If Mobile Data Is Off.. How To Hide This Sometimes Im Confuse My Data Is Off Or On.

It will show the network connection type even with data off. When data is on, you'll get the up/down arrows next to it (see attached).

Roaming mode

Hi there, I've noticed that my phone is always in Roaming mode, ie an R is showing in the signal bars icon. It's really not affecting my phone , because I know that I am not roaming, I am connected to my operator (Claro Honduras) . But I wonder what this is all about (maybe because I am not on T-Mobile) , or if there is a way to fix it. Also because of that I have to keep my Data Roaming setting ON, or I won't be able to access my data plan.

HTC Surround 3G Switch missing

Hi, does anyone know why on earth did HTC disable the 3G Switch for HTC Surround?? I have this phone, updated to Mango and the 3G Switch is missing from the Network Settings. I cannot understand this stupid idea of not letting the user decide what band to use his phone on.
RE: Solved
I have solved this.
This is available for every HTC Device which does not have the 3G Switch available:
Enter the Field Test Menu by dialing ##3282#, on the lower right side there are three dots: ... , enter that menu and there you can choose the band to work on: Automatic, 2G only, 3G only.
Sounds like a solution, but each time I change the setting from 3G to 2G or Automatic, and then go back into settings, it reverts back to 3G only. And the 3G icon remains at the top of the screen. So is your experience different. Been trying to disable 3G since December.

Do not set to auto,
Set it only to 2G, go back in the field test main menu with the back arrow <-, and then again in the ... menu, 2g should be still selected, and then <- twice to exit.

Gave it another try, but not so sure.
Went in to menu, set to 2G and then back arrow <-. Went back in ... and 2G was still selected, but after exiting <- <-, and going back in, 3G is selected again. Also my phone still shows 3G at the top of the screen, but I will admit that the signal strength appears to maybe be 1 bar higher. So, am I on 2G although the 3G icon still shows?
Guess I will know tomorrow after a full day of use hopefully at 2G, with reduced battery drain. I have a great WiFi signal at home and at work, so basically 90% of my day. The only thing data does is load email in the background and the occasional need for a connection if I stop somewhere on the way home. My 3G signal is typically 1 to 3 bars, averaging 2. And almost never higher than 3.
I have an unlimited data plan, but my WiFi speeds are generally 3 to 4 times better, and my experience has show very little difference in battery drain with WiFi on/off. No idea why AT&T would prevent me from using 2G, especially with Unlimited. iPhone users should be thanking me for the extra bandwidth I am offering.
Btw, I will absolutely NOT purchase a new phone with 4G/LTE whatever, unless I can turn it off.

[Q] Help with data traffic disabled icon?

Hi all,
Just got my Xperia Play, and it's not rooted or anything (don't plan on it yet)
and my phone shows an icon all the time that when the status bar is pulled down, it says "data traffic is disabled" and it only goes when my 3G data is on, even when I'm on wi-fi already!
Anything I'm doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!
Its normal. Its just a indication of your service provider data 2g or 3g. When u turn your operator data on, it will be gone. Nothing to do with wifi

[Q] network mode switch 2G <-> 3G

Hi All,
Kindly, I recently bought Note 4 N910C.
I can see a strange behavior (not that painful though). when I manually switch between 2G and 3G the cellular signal attenuates first (from full bar for example to zero) then it comes back with the node mode (for example, if I switch from 2G to 3G, 2G fades till zero signal and then 3G starts from zero, then one bar then to full signal in good radio conditions).
it results to slow network switching (slow than any other phone I had before)
Also, after the switch, if I locked the phone (pressed the power button) before the packet connection is triggered, it may still keep off (the packet connection) till I unlock it or some times till I refresh the packet status from (mobile networks) menu.
is it normal with Note4?
Thanks,
My phone does that too.
But I never check those with power button things.

Thanks alot for your feedback... I am checking now the automatic switch between 2G/3G in the auto mode.
To see if it is impacting the switch speed and so the call handover quality.
will share once I have results.
thanks,

Samsung Galaxy S4 (SHV-E330K) - 3G Network Problem

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Korean Variant. I live in the Philippines, and I believe that this phone is unlocked because I can use my SIM Card to it. Now, my problem is when I turn on Data Network on 3G. Whenever I turn it on, on 3G mode, not LTE, because the area was just covered by 3G, I notice in the notification panel that instead of seeing Data Network, I see Data Roaming. So, there's no way to turn off my data mode. And when I go to the Messages, there is a warning that says 'Roaming... charges on receiving text... etc.'. And on the notifications, when I pull it down, it says 'Current network: Globe (51520)' something like that. And when I click it, I will go to Global Roaming in Settings. And sometimes, there is a signal drop, and sometimes it says 'Insert USIM to connect to etc.' or ''Insert SIM Card to connect... etc.' but on a couple of seconds, there comes again the signal for my phone.
