What pins are what? Tab S4 uses the same pinout, could not google about this exact tablet yet. I am interested in charging it via that connector, found https://android.stackexchange.com/q...does-a-galaxy-tab-10-1-charger-need-to-supply - is this applicable here? Thanks,

Can anyone suggest a dock either generic or for a model with similar layout of ports to seat the phone and allow a usb cable to the pc for sharing of internet from the phone to pc?
Perhaps an HTC One X phone dock since the dimensions are very similar?

Thanks! Any idea if it would still fit with a case on?
What do you all think of the below items I'm getting.
iMito MX1 MiniPC
RC12 Air Mouse/Keyboard
Logitech C310 webcam
Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Ultra-Mini Hub
Anyone suggest other accessories?
You may want to consider a USB Ethernet adapter unless you are pretty sure you will have an optimal WiFi signal.
Something like this would be a great USB Stick accessory:
3 port USB hub and 10/100 ethernet
http://dx.com/p/usb-1-1-10-100mbps-ethernet-3-usb-2-0-ports-hub-adapter-white-10cm-125259
(I know I keep linking to dx.com, but I am not a plant. I have no relation with DX, except that I have ordered from them in the past.)
I have the mx2. Will the hubs work to add more devices to this? I'd like to run a HDD as well as the rc12 remote from the same USB port. For some reason my mini USB port is very delicate and I have to wiggle the wire for the mx2 to.pick it up

Thanks for the recommendation, but I will have the MX2 within 3 feet of the router. However I may need something like this when I move to a new place.

I'm assuming it will. My Transformer prime detects multiple devices through an unpowered USB hub.

Whats the main different between the iMoto vs. the MK series. and for the usb hub/splitter, is there any specific brand I should be aware of? Or will they all work regardless? I am asking because my nearby dollarstore have spliiter for like $2, and dx selling for $11.90

I was too confused with all the versions of the MK that I just went with the iMito.

I just used a usb hub I had lying around. When I get home I check out the model name. I'm buying an extra USB hub for my iMito form a different manufacturer and I'm just assuming that it will work.

Anyone get the HDMI out to work on the Galaxy S4? I have my Samsung branded MHL to HDMI cable, and I am unable to get HDMI output working... any ideas?
I just tired it a second ago, im having the same issue, at least you know your not alone <3
I was only able to get it to work on my Infuse4G... but have traded it in for my S4, they said it would work... may that is my out to get another one? Maybe one with MDL? can someone confirm if it works or not on MDL?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda premium
Yes it works perfectly on both MDL & again on custom version of MF3. I'm using the new Samsung MHL 2.0 cable, which works without needing to be plugged into a power source. There are quite a few comments about people getting fakes out there. The most common way to test for the 2.0 version is if it works without having to use a power source and your TV running at 1080p 60hz.
MHL to MHL 2.0 adapter
I bought this on ebay [HDMI MHL Adapter Tip for Samsung Galaxy Notes 2 S4 S3 (Micro USB 5 to 11 Pin)]. Using it, I can use the MHL adapter that I used with my S2 with no problems. It needs USB power, but it works fine.
For those that are having problems and are on aosp roms, these adaptors only work on stock and Stock-based roms
Yeah, mine is a stock adapter (reqs power, originally came with my Samsung Infuse4G) and I am on a stock rom but no joy. I will order a new v2 model and see if it works then...
Thanks guys.

I also have the Infuse4G adapter. If anyone know of a way to make that work, it would be great.
I read that the S4 should be backwards compatible with standard adapters that use the addtl power source. I'm not sure if the Infuse4G one would qualify as "standard".
Thanks!

Hi Guys,
Does anyone have any idea if this will have USB Type-C 3.1 or 2.1 like the Oneplus 2?
I guess you completely missed the sticky that said " questions don't go in the general thread " huh lol
But anyway, its USB 2 with fast charging.

Honestly not sure. It doesn't register when plugged in. I emailed the seller on ebay and he/she said the device had to be 3.1 enabled...
But as somebody mentioned on the reddit link:
The USB Type-C to USB Standard-A Adapter accessory image shows a blue tip, which should be exclusive to 3.0+
and
Also, that page says "data transfer speeds up to 5 gbps", which is USB3 spec.
That said, that an adapter cable they're selling on the Google Store is USB3.0-compatible doesn't automatically imply the phones will work at USB3 speeds - even if said adapter is included in the package when you buy the phone. It will probably simply act as a USB-C to USB-A conduit, running at USB2 speeds.

Looking at the accessories page of the Nexus 6p, I see that the wall charger LOOKS like the type which doesn't detach from the USB cable....is that right? Anyone know if the stock charger shipped in the box is the type we can detach from the plug and put into PC?

That product listing dates back to the 2015 Chromebook Pixel launch, which has USB 3.0 Type-C ports. They listed it with the Nexus since it's backwards compatible with 2.0 devices.
Can anyone confirm if HDMI through USB is working on official 8.1?
Yes. Works well. I just had my phone warranty replaced because this feature wasn't working. Replacement arrived Thursday and I've used it several times since, everything works perfectly.

FYI, I tried different adapters and come to find out that there was lint in by USB port that was interfering with the connection!! Now it's working with various adapters, SMH!
Thanx for the confirmation, I would've still been scratching my head about this. :good:
