Secure Folder - Office Mobile - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

Office Mobile is the default document reader in my S10 Plus Secure Folder. Unfortunately when an attempt is made to access any documents an error message appears stating "This app Is no available". Adding an different document reader app to the secure folder solves the issue however Office Mobile has no uninstall option. Any thoughts on uninstalling this dedicated app without rooting the device?

Secure Sites

Cannot access my secure bank or credit card sites with Internet Xplorer on my XDAII. I can access home pages but will not open secure windows? (doesn't do anything at all - no error message etc.. just doesn't link!)
Popups enabled etc..
Am I barking up the wrong tree or can anybody else access secure sites - if so - how?
Cheers y'all
Hi mate, some secure sites just aren't compatible with Pocket Internet Explorer.
I can access my Barclays Current Account through my XDA, but not my Barclaycard Account, for example.

Internet Explorer Bug

I don't know at what point I messed my Pocket IE, or maybe which files I didn't install from the Ext Rom, but my MDA Internet Explorer will not open many sites, most often those that require special cookies. I have cookies enabled, I can surf many sites, but certain stes, that work on my wifes MDA, won't work on mine.
Is this some JAVA midlet missing, or some deleted folder that stores cookies? Any ideas?
Java not enabled on browse error message
I get a similar error when I try to access a web site that requires a java enabled browser (works fine from my PC), but not from XDA mini. error message states "Java not enabled on your Browser"
Does anyoe have a suggestion on how to enable Java on teh browser under pocket 2003 op sys?

OpenProperty for PR_CE_MIME_TEXT returns S_OK, but IStream is empty

I am developing a Pocket Outlook add-in, and I have a problem on a Windows Mobile 6 smartphone. It's actually an O2 Xda with Windows Mobile 6 Professional (CE OS 5.2.1238 Build 17745.0.2.3).
The problem is that when I try to access the message body, by calling OpenPropery and supplying PR_CE_MIME_TEXT. This returns S_OK, but the message stream is empty i.e. 0 bytes.
This works correctly in both the Windows Mobile 6 emulators, and the Windows Mobile 5 emulators, and on a Windows Mobile 5 smartphone. I am connecting to an exchange server to access messages.
My question is why might OpenProperty return an empty stream even though the message clearly has a message body? I did try with PR_BODY_W too, but the results are the same.
I noticed when I installed our SSL certificate onto the smartphone there was an extra security message to go through before it installed the certificate. The emulator just installed it after I clicked on it. Maybe the problem is in some way security related?

Does the PR_BODY_HTML works?
Sadly no it returns MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND

Solved
Actually tene you were nearly right. In the end I have modified my code to firslty call GetProps passing PR_MSG_STATUS. This will indicate either MSGSTATUS_HAS_PR_BODY or MSGSTATUS_HAS_PR_CE_MIME_TEXT. I didn't know about this previously so I hadn't called it.
From there I then try to access either PR_CE_MIME_TEXT or PR_BODY, depending on the message status returned.
Actually to access PR_BODY I have to firstly use PR_BODY_A and if that fails try PR_BODY_W because there doesn't seem to be a way to determine which is present. My DLL is a Unicode DLL, and PR_BODY on its own didn't work (because this maps to PR_BODY_W which doesn't exist), I explicitly had to use PR_BODY_A and then convert it using MultiByteToWideChar.
Silly me for thinking I should expect consistant behaviour.

Can Office Mobile in TD2 open Password Protected Office Documents

Hello All,
I tried to open one excel file, which have password to open, but the Office mobile 6.1 could not open that. Doe sthis mean the Office mobile 6.1 does not support this feature?
Any other way to open such documents in WM?
Thanks.
No, Office Mobile can't open password protected documents.
Open a document in the full-fat app on your workstation, remove password protection, send new document to mobile device.
Not secure, but the only way to go about it.
Thanks all for the reply.
So it is very BAD that MS Office for WM cant open Password protected files .
Is there any other way that we can protect our files in WM?
I think there is one option to encrypt the SD Card where the contect can only be opened in this device and a hard reset also will not allow the device to open the contents.
But is there any other way to have similar kind of password protection for office documents?

Any Hack For Region Protected Apps?

To make a long story brief, does anyone know of a hack that would fool a region protected app?
I downloaded the APK for the BBC I Player from mediafire and I opened it via Astro whilst connected to my UK proxy and also used a location spoofer app. When I tried to play content a message pops up saying it's only available in the UK. I then tried using my VPN account and got the same result.
Does anyone know of any way to make that app think i'm in the UK or is it impossible?
I did search XDA and as far as I can see is still an unresolved issue.
