So I've been messing around with custom roms and I still haven't gotten one to work with bluetooth ( Volte and 4g data works fine). I was worried I screwed up the imei, but it appears to be fine. I just went back to stock, but still bluetooth isn't working. I did however just get Volte working (had to use a twrp stock rom to flash). I feel like I either missed a step, or something is going on above my head.
It isn't a deal breaker, but it would be nice to get bluetooth working.
Also, the custom roms I've used are Pixel Experience, Pixys os, Havoc, Lineage, and Viper (currently on Viper)
Thanks

Alright, so after receiving my Nexus 4 a few weeks ago, I rooted and flashed it to Paranoid because I love the tablet interface. I didn't notice until two days ago, when I activated my Tmobile sim, that something was wrong. I tested on two custom roms (Paranoid and Cyanogen) to make sure. I can make phone calls but have no audio, I can send texts, and I cannot connect to mobile data. I assume it's a problem with the radio, although I made sure to flash .48 just to make sure, but I am not sure what. I've done clean installs of both Paranoid and Cyanogen.
I'm back to the stock image now, but I'd love to know what is up with my phone that makes it so dislike custom roms. Any help is most appreciated. I'm good enough that I can flash and do basic troubleshooting but this is stumping me.

you need the .48 radio. the older radios dont work for most people running 4.2.2(no sound during a phone call).
you need the new bootloader, the baseband (radio.) is optional for some people (on tmobile), the bootloader is not
And that fixed it. You guys are great. I thought I was about to have to wave the white flag and surrender.
At least this has been a learning experience, considering I'm pretty sure I can now type the adb commands to flash the stock image to my phone in my sleep.
Complete noob here but I finally Rooted my phone. I tested PAC Rom, CM 10.2, and then Carbon Rom and each time I get the same issues. My Wifi and Bluetooth don't work, doesn't even scan for signals or devices. I have no audio sound, nothing at all. I can't receive calls without it FC but I can make them, however, its difficult to do because the dialer seems to freeze up when dialing and calls will fade in and out. Each Rom seems to be the same. Cant seem to find any device specific info so if anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thank you
Incase anyone wants to know. The issue was because I was running 4.4 when I installed a Rom for 4.3. Just flashed factory settings for 4.3 and installed the rom after that. Works great now.
Hello, I've tried a lot of cyanogenmod 13 based roms, even cyanogenmod itself, and 4G never worked on any of them.. I'm on g900f, tried changing apn and it didn't work anyway, any help?
No one knows anything? I've tried AOSP roms, and they don't have LTE working for me either..
Make a clean installation of the latest CM13 SNAPSHOT, I used to have the same issue on the late nightlies but the Snapshot fixed it.
I tried that, but as soon as I flashed a custom kernel it stopped working.. Any ideas why?
I'm on latest 6.0.1 original samsung rom update, and lte/4g option is gone, there is just 2g and 3g options... Also gps is buggy when you turn it on, it automatically sets to high accuracy for spying...
I had to return to stock because lte only works during the initial configuration on AOSP Roms.. That's strange. On stock 4G is perfect..
Has anyone tried dirty unicorn rom i looked through their official website but did find not anything about its features. My questions are
1. I have not unlocked my bootloader yet and i want to try only this rom. Is this stable enough as daily driver are there any bugs.
2. Does it support volte and how is call and audio quality these three are most important to me specifically audio quality and Volte.
Works great, volte & call quality are fine. Running 05.11 so can't speak for the latest 03.09. Camera is working 90% but that's to be said of all Oreo ROMs at the moment. Word of caution if you go from stock to Oreo be sure to back up your EFS partition because you'll lose volte if you go back to stock from Oreo. If you want to go back to stock from Oreo you have to first flash custom nougat then stock nougat. That's worked for me anyway, I'm sure I'll get corrected if that's not the case. Happy flashing ?

Hi, anyone knows if there is any rom with Mirror link working?
Mirror link is not screen Mirror to the TV. It is the connection to the car MP5 with the USB and you can manage your phone with the car touch screen.
If It doesn't work now but anyone knows if nearly It will be implemented in any rom please say me in which one.
Thanks and regards.
I'm looking into this as well, I've been wanting to install a custom rom such as @Ivan_Meler LOS Rom, but it has pushed my phone to a "Phone is not compatible" reading on the headunit.
Little back story:
I have a Samsung Gal. S7 and a Honda Civic 2015 and I've been able to do Mirrorlink when it was working on a completely stock rom. Only problem was I was trying to mirrorlink the full phone screen and not have to use the Samsung Car mode, Rockscout, etc. I've tried every trick in the book even one which required the phone to be rooted. (AAUnlock and AAMirror) I used SuperSU, whick I should now look into trying Magisk, and see if that makes any difference.
What I've noticed is that once the phone is rooted, even on a stock rom, the Head Unit in my car switches to "Phone is not compatible". Again, I rooted it with SuperSU. I've been able to locate a S7 Stock Rom which I'll go back to and see if I can get that working again. Once that's established, I'll try with Magisk, and see if there's any difference.
So far with every rom I've tried including LOS (most Roms are based from LOS), the phone hasnt worked in mirrorlink. I'm hoping that @Ivan_Meler makes an update that allows it, as it seems his is the only ROM that gets updated on a frequent basis. I'm hoping that this (along with other issues) gets resolved on the Rom and this can become my daily driver.
Hello
Did you manage to make work your S7 mirrorlink with a rooted rom ?
Thanks

If you want to use these old roms, make sure you change the thermals. I highly recommend Jabashque 6, the links are on my thermals thread.
As good as that version of Omni is, Darkobas himself said that longterm use will kill dramatically hurt longterm battery life.
You could use the compatible Blackscreen with the Jabashque thermals and your experience will be perfect.
BY the way, Oreo and Pie Roms are awesome. If you try Pie tryout Lineage 16 its awesome!
Thanks
i want at least oreo, i tried Omni but Mirrorscreen does not work
