Plz guys help to find good Rom for my S4 without more problems
you should say more about what you're looking for in a rom. do you want Samsung features and touchwiz or a pure Android AOSP or something more modified like cyanogenmod ?
only a Samsung based rom will give you full features in the camera or MHL support. AOSP and CM will be usually faster and give more free internal space. no rom is going to be perfect though as that is also a measure of personal preference and custom roms often have tiny bugs in them.
usually talk of which rom is the best is discouraged here, we are urged to try some for ourselves and make our own choice...

Lol. Seriously?
What harm does root access and debloated roms do?
It is like blaming the gun and not the person who pulled the trigger when someone is killed. :/
And FYI due to the heavy amounts of bloatware and other unwanted stuff, the performance is slow in stock roms and also not all of them are stable.

Just stay on debloated stock ROMs with stock or close-to-stock kernel. That's it.

Hi all! Here you can share what ROMs you use on the Moto X Play device. Why have you chosen that ROM, what's the name? And if you want link the download for other users to see! :good:
RR - Best stability, Best customistaion
XDrom, for privacy reasons
1) rr
2) krexus
3) tesla
4) xosp
all with multirom
Just for fun, I'm a flashaholic.
I use XOSP ROM at the moment as big fan of sony xperia software. Might try some of your suggestions as well though.
Custom Rom: RR the best, stability, customitation, battery life!!
Stock Rom: Epsilon v1 : stability like a stock with included squid kernel
Its so personal. I like it simple and clean. Stock or debloated roms only. Mostly i get lost in all the extra settings and menu's and realize I never gonna use and need all this extra stuff that ruins my sot and return to stock the next day.

I find that as well, although have started experimenting with those settings. I am now experimenting with the Resurrection Remix ROM. You should definitely check and experiment with the settings at some point.

Yup, its the most feature rich rom. Happy experimenting. Why i chose RR is because there are no bugs for me like the camera hdr bug or inability to store to sd card through inbuilt cam. Also its officially supported by themes.
Stock ROM with Xposed because I like the stability and battery life is good.
Cyanogenmod 13 and RR are good but their battery is really bad,im on stock and is the best.
i always end up back on stock + xposed on all phones i got .
For me the best is plain CM13. Has all the features I use and more and most roms use it as basis for varous thins like security updates.

I don't give heed to SOT now. Although it between 5+ hrs i guess.
AICP. 'Cos the OTA update works, and the nighties mostly keep up with the latest CM13 updates. And AICP Extras!

Hi everyone, long time no see. I'm now back where i belong with you Android guys&Girls.
the possibility to tweak my phone)
Now for the actual question, cause i sure need your help.
I Went back to my Old Note 4 and now I'm trying to Choose between Dr.Ketan and Norma.
Since you are expert on these and surely have tried at least on of them (if not both and more) Can you please give me some advice on what rom to use.
Battery is important to me, aswell is having the phone acting smooth. Im not a big user of the S-pen but i can really appreciate it when time comes.
What rom would you prefer, and please elaborate your answer on why the other one is better than the other.
Thanks in advance!

Dr. Ketan rom is a very stable rom .
Norma and aurora are in developement (but quite stable for daily use ).
If someday I get bored with roms and wish going back to a stock rom , then i might consider dr.ketan rom over official 6.0.1.
If you want to enjoy the latest grace ux , then there are many , but if you want rock solid performance and stability , i would suggest dr. Ketan m6.

Hi and thanks for the answer, i tried to install that rom, but my phone is in some kind of weird bootloop.

I'm still stuck to Dr.Ketan's L16f. I tried norma and a few other roms, but I want rock solid stability, full features and ease of installation, without having to search for zips that fix this and that. I guess I'll wait a little longer till Norma or Aurora fix a few minor things that are still unsolved.
I'm using Norma N7 for last 1 month and it's very fine and after v4 it's much stable now.
Norma is @@@ of the roms a few more updates and we have a note 7 until 8 comes out!!!
SM-N910F
Note4 N910G
Dr. Ketan rom M6 is best.
It has themes support ,Volte ,and all other functions which nesessary for device .i got antutu benchmark 80757 which is closer to note5 and battery backup is awesome i get almost 6hrs plus screen on time (sot) see screenshots with 2 hours net browsing.

In order to have Dr Ketan M6 working, you should flash both lollipop bl and modem.
For apps, to me, root explorer, kernel adiutor, sidesync (this one is brutal, you can control your phone with your PC) and KLWP are essentials for me....
Another essential app is Samsung themes...too bad stock Note 4 roms haven't this feature...
So lots the Best of the other noms i.e. Ramrom
Alexdnr room v3.8 stable fast + nova launcher prime

Hi Melissakis just wondering what unit you are using Coz mine run too slow that I can't even restart my fon nor open any apps when I'm using Dr. Ketan I love it but everytime I have also FC. But don't get me wrong we have different preference. Btw try to install aurora with proper fix, kernel and you will see. NORMA v4 already out but I returned to aurora even though it doesn't have compatibility with 3minit. Found Norma bugs is always the same

N910f.
I haven't any issue with this rom for the last 5,6 months. Aurora is not for me yet, I don't want to mess with workarounds for fingerprints, zips to fix this and that etc. Aurora and Norma are great even now, but I'll wait a little longer, until they become absolutely perfect.

yop.....RamROM V6 with suggested kernel is the best.
It has Default N4 fingerprint scanner working, there is no need of third party apps as were used in other fabulous ROMs like DR.KETAN'S and NORMA or X-ROM.
Basically, RamROM is not an N7 ported rom.
But i have a suggestion using RemROM kernel with N7 ported roms like NORMA or X-ROM will give best results and its more stable, no battery drains and no over heats. :good:
(As this kernel is compiled using UberTC which give best results when compared to other Stock/N7 ported kernels, thanks for @Ram121 ).
If you need pure Stock N4 experience go for > [ROM][N910F][ALEXNDR] ★ DPI1 / CPD1 ★ DevBase v3.8 ★ Multi CSC, Safe De-Bloat<
The Best pre-rooted stock ROM ever.
Hey guys, i'm late in the sm-g935F community.
There is a ton of N-7.0 Roms out there but i need MM to use Xposed.
I love the old Cyanogenmod releases with all the nice build in features and a great battery efficiency.
Can you recommend something? If possible something that is still supported and good for a daily driver?
Would be really thankfull.
All the best!

I have found the @BoBCatRoM for me personally is the best all
around custom rom with lot's of excellent features and options.
Xposed works just fine with Marshmallow 6.01 version of it.
There are two versions of Bobcatrom, a Marshmallow 6.01
and a Nougat 7 version.
There are many themes to choose from for both flavors of the rom.
Bobcatrom also has excellent battery life.
Here is the link for BoBCatRoM:

Give it a try!
Have a great day!
ok i tried it and the theme engine is horrible, its crashing, looks childish and im not happy with it.
Somebody else a suggestion?

I do understand what you mean by your words (as I have tried it as well) ...... but the way you stated it sounds unappreciative and deserving
I doubt you will get very many answers after that ---- maybe you should edit
I triedAOSP and Lineage OS. But both of them showed the fading and discoloration of the screen during boot, meaning that they were compatible. I am currently downloading the Stock firmware but would like to know whether there are any better ROMs out there than these.
Edit: The stock firmware is giving invalid zip error.

No, read OP, you need Lollypop firmware, just install 5.1 then install this Ron or any time that requires firmware 5.1
You also need recovery compatible with 5.1 like TWRP from Vince (OFFICIAL TWRP) you can download from TWRP site https://twrp.me/devices/j5lte.html
It all depends, if you want to have great camera or you are into taking pictures, never flash AOSP roms, because their camera is a loot worst compared to touchwiz camera (samsungs camera app is optimized like hell)
If you are curious and want to unveil your phone's power I suggest you AOSP/Lineage based ROMs.
Camera isn't enhanced as stock propietary crapwiz one, but works fine. If you love pictures, better you go with a pro Cybershot camera or similar.
I prefer paying the price of freedom and use free software than stay tied to proprietary closed source crapwiz.

Yup it almost works on all Samsung MM based Custom Roms or Ports like A5UX Rom , J2UX Rom etc.
Im also pretty keen to know what ROM you guys think is most suitable ? I am currently using stock 5.1.1 rom on J500F, anything better out there ? Would doing a factory reset on stock 5.1.1 and removing bloatware maybe be the best ? Not trying to hijack the thread but as mentioned im also looking for something as stable with less bloatware and better battery life. Thank You !

You can't get better battery life than stock lollipop + hard debloat, period.
Lollipop is the best for me, plus camera sucks on all custom roms
the smoothest rom is XeonHD , and AOSPextended both are extremely optimized except the camera is not that good , if you don't take pics often i suggest that you install either of them
AOSP-CAF based, are the goods. XenonHD is the better Lineage based rom. You have many options to choose one that fits your needs. Camera is fine, I don't complain about that, You should try to choose the better one that fits your needs.

@Ragazzza debloat zip is very nice if you're in stock. XenonHD satisfied me, very nice and smooth ROM. You should give a try to test by yourself. My better pictures I got with my Cybershot camera. Pictures are fine for daily use, and you have Vince's TWRP that works in lollipop and marshmallow, you choose the correct for your device. And from within TWRP you could debloat too, using the embedded explorer or flashing Ragazzza zip or whatever you want even with no root in your system.

Without twrp, better you try that no root debloat you show us before..
And if you follow correctly the steps to flash twrp, dont need to be afraid. Its from twrp that you could flash a debloater zip, for example, even without root...
You can stay with stock debloated, twrp and no root.
Hope you understand.
