can't use my gear S3 with Lineage os - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

I finished flashing Lineage os on my S8, changed the fingerprint to the Google Pixel 3 but now the app asks me to download gear s plug-in but the playstore says that my device is not compatibile.
Any idea to make this work?
Update: i forgot to white list the plug-in from magisk hide.
The only problem now is that every 30 seconds the watch disconnected itself from the phone

bricked galaxy s7 edge

I rooted my galaxy s7 edge (snapdragon) and everything was fine and working except I couldn't get SuperSU to install properly. I would get the app screen, but nothing else. A couple of apps would show up (Root Checker, Flashfire) after I had run them but I didn't get the typical SU screen with settings. I'm not including the softwares used (I did have debugging enabled in Develper options on the phone, secure boot unchecked, and the correct Samsung USB drivers installed) because I don't think it's relevant to my question - if not so, let me know and i'll be glad to provide the info - I'm a newbie at this so please bear with me). I read about the warning to not update the 2.74 version of SuperSU but then I saw the update beta for 2.77 so I tried that. It appeared to run ok; I could see all the commands being executed and then ending and then the phone rebooted, as it's suppose to do. This is when the problem emerged; a screen came up saying "start up failed" and at the top left of the screen it said 'Custom binary blocked by secure boot (boot.img). I rebooted to TWRP recovery mode and tried rebooting which again resulted in the start up failure screen. I then tried the wipe data\factory reset setting and the same thing happened. I then booted to maintenance mode and got the warning screen about a custom OS installation can cause problems but if you want to proceed press volume up key which I did and got the usual Downloading page. At the top of the Downloading page I noted it said, among other identifying info: Odin mode (high speed), FRP lock: off, QUALCOMM Secure Boot: enable, and Secure Download: enable.
But, when connecting the usb cable to the phone and pc, my computer (Win 10) doesn't even see it. Not sees and doesn't recognize, but doesn't even see it. I tried a second USB cable and different ports but got the same results. I tried a second computer and got the same thing.
I am guessing that if I could still access the phone to run rooting apps I could get past the lock. If not now, maybe later on when someone figures our a way to do so. But without a working connection to the phone I am helpless. I am wondering if Verizon disables USB intentionally, so that the phone essentially becomes useless. Or, is it a coincidence and perhaps there is something wrong with the usb hardware.
Is there a way out of this other than having to pay for it to be fixed (which Samsung won't do - I called - and maybe Verizon not either).
Thanks in advance -

Yu Yureka 6.0.1(Marshmallow) open OS Root

I am an Yu Yureka user starting March, 2015. I have waited 2 years to get the Marshmallow update through OTG before getting root. But this new update is full of glitches such as
1. When my phone is switched off and charging no percentage of charge completion is shown.
2. When pictures taken in HDR mode, camera screen turns green and stay like that until the phone is restarted. Also the picture quality degraded.
3. This new update takes away the advanced reboot option which was under the Developer Options( in Lollipop), so there is no way to go into recovery mode without connecting phone to pc through usb.
Now coming to the main part,
4. There is nothing that can root my phone. Starting from phone applications to pc applications nothing can root it.:crying:
5. So I tried the cmd Process by using command window through PC by unlocking my Bootloader first, after that I installed TWRP.
6. When the above processes were successful, I transferred the Supersu Zip file in the internal and external of my phone and then executed them from TWRP. Surprisingly it was also successful.:good:
7. Now when I turned my phone on and checked with 2 different root checker apps, my phone was still not rooted.:crying:
8. Then I probably tried the Supersu installation more than 10 times, factory reset it more than I can even remember but still nothing.
9. My phone developed a new problem that is it randomly reboots itself.:crying:
If anyone knows any solution to the above problems, specially on how to successfully root my Yu Yureka, plz help me. I lost all my hope and confidence.
Thank You for taking your time and reading this.
I don't know if u have done stuffs properly....so here's the thing...IF U R RUNNING LOLLIPOP OR ABOVE!!!!!! then------------
1. Download latest TWRP from the official site and flash it
2. Flash any latest nougat based roms like ---- lineage os, official RR, aosp extended etc. (there r so much astonishingly beautiful roms and i can't name all of them....please don't mind devs )
X. Flash GApps if you want to from here : opengapps.org (arm64,7.1.x,pico variant)
3. Very imp. for you !!!!!!Flash magisk (latest v13.3) from here : (tiny.cc/latestmagisk) and flash it
P.S. Lineage might not support magisk so you have flash there supersu addon which can be found on their official website (in device tree on the left side search for "extras" on the very last option)
Hit Thanks Button if I helped you
yureka plus not getting detected in pc
hey i too have the same problem but one more is that i cannot connect it to pc its just charge my phone unable to connect it and if i connect it in switched off position it just act as is its charging for a second and stop yu boots abd again it charge and yu boots
Need some input to downgraded from marshmallow to official lollipop for YU Yureka...
I am facing the some issues like automatic restart for yu yureka due tounstable Marshmallow update. Can you please share the steps to downgraded to official update like lollipop.

Samsung Galaxy A520F bricked

Hi there,
my wife owns or better owned a Samsung Galaxy A5. Due to many problems (battery drain, bloatware) with the stock rom, I installed Lineage OS 14.1 a few months ago. Now I just wanted to update the Lineage OS, selected in the update section the new version. The update started booted into TWRP and installed everything without any problems. After finishing the flash process the phone tried to reboot:
I heard the vibration, the white Samsung Screen appears, then follows a vibration and the screen is getting black, the white Samsung Screen appears, then follows a vibration and the screen is getting black, the white Samsung Screen appears, then follows a vibration and the screen is getting black, the white Samsung Screen appears, then follows a vibration and the screen is getting black, …
I'm still able to enter TWRP (Vol+-Home-Power) and the Download-Mode (Vol--Home-Power). In TWRP I tried to flash an older Lineage Build and also an upgrade to Hades ROM Oreo (including BL and Modem). The flash processes succeeded without any problems. But to bootloop remains.
The I searched the net for the original Samsung Stock ROMs. There's a big selection of ROMs on Sammobile, but I'm still struggling to get the download working . On other portals the offered stock roms fail to download (a 2GB file with 15kb/sec).
There's another problem: I don't have any Windows here. On Linux I did the most stuff in Heimdall. But I don't feel comfortable the unpack any tar.md5 files and unpack the partions and unpack the images … Samsung Smartswitch isn't available for Linux too. So the easiest way for me is to use TWRP (Version 3.2.3 is installed). I can access TWRP via MTP to transfer files.
Which chances do I still have to unbrick that garbage device?
(If I don't get it running, it will be the last Samsung phone we have ever bought. This Samsung crap is not even in a single piece comparable with my old Oneplus 3)
I have a SM-A520W that has been bricked it wont turn off only thing i can do is go into download mode but absolutely everything i try to send up into it thru odin is blocked i downloaded the latest firmware along with the 6.01 mm BL and nothing works. Its with videotron

[Urgent help] Xiaomi Mi A1 Unlock bootloader

Hi All,
I'm new to this as I'm not an Android developer but a good Android user. Requesting moderator to update anything required.
I've Xiaomi mi A1 and it was working for the last 3 years. Last Sunday, it just got hanged while kids were playing with it(maybe multiple apps/videos/some ad clicked) and it got hanged.
I restarted and it stuck on "Android One" screen till now even after multiple attempts.
What I tried:
1. I tried to wipe/factory reset from the Android recovery option(power off + volume up) then it stuck there saying "Formatting data" and I've restarted it to come back to Android One screen after hours.
2. I tried using MiFlash tool and it continues throwing the error "remote device is locked. cannot erase".
Then I got to know bootloader must be unlocked. and for that:
1. I tried fast boot oem unlock but it just says OK and device reboots. When I check status back, it's again locked .
2.I tried to unlock it using MiFlashUnlock tool but it says not able to find account details as I may have logged in once but probably I may not have used Xiaomi as cloud instead I prefer Google cloud.
You can assume I'v already searched possibly all threads on the internet and added here all possible information.
Attached getvar-all.txt output
Is there anyone on the platform who knows on this issue?
Or it's just a platform of Ads?
oooooof, sounds like a harsh brick from some sort of malware downloaded into the device or your kids diddled with some kernel settings somehow
is your device running on qualcomm snapdragon? i have the fix for it in this site
but first try the update option on the recovery, might fix something

found some fix on a russian website, gonna translate it:
im gonna make a warning there off-script of the russian website, this is NOT guaranteed to work. if it doesnt, send it off for repairs.
what do you need to do this:
1 - fully charge the phone
2 - a working usb cable
3 - a computer with wifi on it (i can tell you have it since you likely posted it on the computer)
4 -you should have Mi flash pro
5 - a recovery image on chinese (WARNING: 1.9 GB, BE PATIENT)
6 - actually working braincells and hands ( you guaranteedly have em)
THE STEPS:
1 - Load in mi flash pro and register in it under your name (not always under your name)
2 - press recovery
3 - you should see a lightning bolt icon along with the IMEI of your device
4 - type in the path of the firmware
even if your device shows your system has been destroyed you can still boot into recovery.
5 - in your device boot into recovery
6 - you see connect with mi assistant? choose that option and confirm it
your device should direct you to connect the usb from your computer to your device
7 - After you setup everything you should see your device, if not, press refresh device, then you should see the flash button, press it
8 - and there begins the magic - wait 5-10 mins for the firmware to initialise, DO NOT DISCONNECT THE USB FROM YOUR DEVICE AT THIS POINT, IF YOU DO, YOU WILL SCREW IT UP AND HAVE TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!
if you dont screw up and your device actually boots congratualtions! the power of xi jing ping has restored your phone to normal with a small drawback - its all in chinese
worry not, it doesnt end here:
9 - Unlock the bootloader AKA Unlock OEM (This is important, because otherwise you will brick yourself again and will have to do it all over again)
10 - boot your device into fast boot and flash the global firmware onto your device (the global firmware can be found on the same xiaomiui website you got the chinese firmware from)
i hope this lengthy guide helps

crud, i forgot the critical part:
it doesnt boot you to the average xiaomi screen, its the A1 model
at this point you need to use the ADB to flash the chinese firmware and unlock the bootloader on the chinese firmware, then flash the global one
though you can still use the same method i typed above
How's the progress so far?
