how to FIX it cannot answer incoming calls on a 2G Mode / GSM network
Related
The incoming calls are directed to the voicemails.
Is it possible that the phone automatically switch from the data to the voice?

If you are in EVDO coverage, the phone will maintain your data connection while you receive the phone call over 1X, then resume your data connection when the call is complete. AFAIK, if you are in roaming or 1X coverage only, there is no way to automatically kill the data connection to receive the call.
1X is always shown in the topbar.
But I can set the mode of operation to EVDO only. Then I can use EVDO mode. Don't know why, but the real speed of EVDO is slower than 1X in my area, around 130kbps. But I cannot receive any calls in EVDO. Don't know if there is a way to solve the problem.
Thanks alot. I understand that my city is not covered by EVDO after checking http://www.sprint.com/business/products/products/evdoEnterZip.jsp .
I have new S5. NO CALLS come in if are on LTE/CDMA network browsing internet and someone is trying to call you in the same time. Sprint had me changed to CDMA and in that case calls do come through. Anyone else has this problem?

As i understand, the problem is if 4G network doesn't support voice over LTE (4G is only for data). And when you receive call, the phone that is on 4G network, it must switch to 3G. And at this switch error happens. that's why you don't get call, that's why i get SMS with notification of missed call.
Been testing between network modes "LTE/WCDMA/GSM" and "WCDMA/GSM".
When i am on "WCDMA/GSM", i have no problem..
I can call out but ppl can't call me. Do not disturb isn't on. Anyone had similar issue?
So, it's an LTE issue. I can get incoming call when I force 3G connection but when I am on LTE band 4, no incoming call.
I also don't have enhance LTE options under cellular network settings.
I sideloaded the band 12 enabler from this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...nable-band-12-moto-pure-mm-ota-t3267057/page7
I am having the same issue.. I have to force 3G in order to receive calls! Hopefully someone can help us!
I have a rooted and unlocked N900V with metroPcs and LTE band 4 unlocked, but when I am on this network I can't get incoming calls!
In NETWORK MODE I have 3 choices: GLOBAL, LTE/CDMA and GSM/UMTS
When I set "GLOBAL" in "network mode" the phone go in 4G network but is not ringing and all incoming calls are directly forwarded to voicemail! I can call and internet data is working fine, the problem is just incoming calls! (I also checked call forwarding settings)
If I set LTE/CDMA no network.
If I set "GSM/WCDMA" the phone works fine and I get incoming calls but the data traffic is very slow because of EDGE coverage only! (no 4G/LTE network)
I also enable LTE band 4 in service mode already
Any help or someone with same problem?
Hello,
i'm using redmi note 4 snapdragon 3/32 version for almost 1 year 6 months.
Suddenly i am facing network issue.
Though the network bar shows full network but still not receiving any call neither i can call others.
If i change network to gsm only it seems works for a while
but i want a permanent solution.
*i reset phone. Even tried different rom*
if this is a hardware issue. Is this critical?
Thank you.
Maybe it's related to your operator
Some operators switch from 4g to 3g or 2g when you receive a call or try to call someone
maybe your operator has a problem with this switch and so you are not able to call and receive
