Is it normal for the tab to generate some heat at the top part of the back where the rear facing camera is? Have any of you guys experienced this?

I have. I believe that's where the Tegra2 chip rests. Mine can get pretty hot, but I'm not worried. If there's a problem later on, I'll just exchange it or send it in to Samsung.
I have but nothing major that cause any alarm..it got hott and then it passed was ok.
Mine gets slightly hot too, specially when watching flash videos for a long time
Mine got pretty warm too while watching videos for a while.
I don't know if it was just good luck or good design, but I thought it was nice that the warm part of the tablet is the one area I never grip it. That top area is away from my hands in landscape and when I hold it in portrait I want the buttons (top side) facing away from the hand that is holding it.
So I barely even notice it getting warm usually.
"Warm" is actually the word I was looking for It seems to be normal since I'm not the only one experiencing it. It doesn't really get hot and it goes away after I put it to rest.
Thanks for all the replies! This forum is great!

Mine does it too.
It's cause this damn tablet is too thin. We need to tell Samsung to scrap this useless design and go with the original lol
Mine does the same thing. Warm when doing anything. Warm-hot when watching movies
Coming from SGS6-Edge, sometimes my palm or fingers holding the device would trigger any icon which is close to the edge of the screen.
Now with the slightly larger device, I find it more annoying; sometimes my palm or the fingers which hold the phone would trick the phone to think I did click on a specific selection right next to my fingers that holds the phone on the sides.
In tablets like surface and iPad, there is a logic to sense that the touch is not a finger but a larger surface contact. I wonder if there is any app which can help and make sure that unless the surface contact is as small as a fingertip, do not treat the contract as a press/selection. Anything like that exists?
I find this annoying as well. When I used a Mophie battery case on my S6 Edge the issue was greatly reduced due to the chin on the Mophie giving a nice place to grab the phone that distances your fingers from the virtual buttons, but now with my S7 Edge and a regular case I'm having to re-train myself to be careful how I pick it up.
This is actually one of the reasons I'll prefer the S7 Mophie when it is released to the Samsung battery case - Samsung went with wireless charging so they could avoid the chin, but I find the chin to be a feature, not a bug...
I'm a little nitpicky, but can someone check their galaxy s7 quickly for these 2 things? I wanted to know if I got a bad built phone.
1) I'm coming from a Galaxy Note5, the home button is extremely solid, if you touch/tap it, it doesn't move even a single nanometer, on the Galaxy S7 edge, if I slightly touch/ tap it/ moving finger slightly up and down, it wobbling around a little tiny bit, like a cheap loose keyboard button.
2) The sim card slot after it is inserted, it sunken below the metal frame a little bit, unlike on the note5 in which the outer metal part of sim tray is seamlessly align with the metal frame.
These are not deal breaker or anything, I just want certain things to be perfect, they just bother me a little bit.
Some other things I don't like about Galaxy S7 edge compared to Note5:
When running certain games (for example, Simcity builtit large cities), it is EXTREMELY laggy, like 5 frames per second (I have the crapdragon 820 since I live in US) whereas it is very smooth on my Note5. I read some other posts and I'm sure this problem is due to crappy Samsung gaming service/game launcher feature which they'll probably fix it in like 10 years. Otherwise the phone run smoothly, no lag everywhere else.
Again, when playing some heavy game, the phone does get a lot warmer compared to the Note5, and this phone is supposed to have some kind of mini liquid cooling system.
One other very nitpicking thing, the LED indicator on the Note5, if you look closely, have a high quality built to it, compared to the S7 which look exactly like the Galaxy S3 LED indicator, only smaller.
After all, I'm very happy with my Galaxy S7 edge, look good, a little bit smoother experience (except games), have a much better standby battery life (only drain 3-4% overnight compared to 10-15% on Note5).

I don't have that issues

Only the sim tray same as yours but it doesn't bother me.
My home key/finger print sensor doesn't wobble, the SIM card it's like youve described above.
Mine doesn't wobble, the sim card tray it can do what your saying but I just choose not to depress it before it gets sunken, I think it's like that for waterproof properties like a spishy seal
No wobble on home screen/sim like you

My friend got a S7 edge which using S820 (G9350), he claim that he feel laggy when gaming as well, and it seems that the problem should cause by Samsung firmware as 8890 model haven't this issue

it absolutely does! so many threads already about lag in games, most of us have this issue, software issue as claimed, waiting for a fixing update.....
Thanks guys!
Hey OP I just found out this app today and I've started to use it on my s7edge. It's called easy home for Samsung on the play store. What this app does is instead of actually clicking down on the home bottom u can just double tap on it and it 'll return u back to le home screen. Hope dis helps /cheers.
Sim card slot sits perfectly, but the FP-Button is little bit wobbling (0.01mm or so).

Did you get it from a reputable retailer, or from a private party? There's some fake ones going around, but I have no idea about their numbers, locations, etc. SlashGear just had an article on this.

Thanks again guys. I purchased it directly from T-mobile. It's too late to return it for a new one but I'm happy with this phone so far.

If it's not defective u have 14 days to return it. 20 days if u bought it from my t mobile.

SIM tray no problem. Though my first unit had a bent SIM tray from factory. Manufacturing error. My home button wiggles maybe 0,1mm on left side only IF I apply force up & down. Not bu just tapping it. Had not noticed this at all before so it's a non issue.
I have internet Australian version and don't have any of them problems my sim card try sits products
Perfect and my home button is also perfect doesn't have any wobble at all... I think yous have a defective build and for the money they cost they should be perfect
Hello, guys/girls.
The thing is I already changed the battery of the device, now I have to change the charging port because it is getting to a point where I can hardly charge the device.
My points is this:
Can I get some damaged galaxy s8 950F with broken screen lets say and just get the motherboard with the SoC and swap it with mine because I hate myself for not searching to see that the snapdragon is bootloader locked and I hate that.
Thank you and have a lovely day!

It's almost a certainty that it would not work with just a motherboard swap. As far as I know the screen and frame and probably some small parts like the vibration motor, headphone jack, fingerprint reader, loudspeaker and possibly the wireless charging coil would be transferrable. You'd need the G950F motherboard, charging port board, camera modules (Snapdragon cameras are Sony IMX while Exynos cameras are Samsung ISOCELL and aren't interchangeable) and possibly the black plastic module at the top rear of the phone that contains the antennas. Basically you'd need a G950F with a broken screen to get all of the required parts.

Thank you, Sir!
I am glad I post it here before buying the broken phone!
I have never changed a display before and I don't think I can do it because of the curved screen and I think I will brake the working one so I think I will stick with it.

Well, you wouldn't actually be swapping the screen, you'd be keeping the screen and frame of your G950W and basically transferring all the components from the G950F into it. It's not terribly difficult to do if you have all of the parts, but you'd have to do your research to make sure you know how to do it. Lots of videos on YouTube and a guide on iFixit to go by.

I will second this. As i have repaired and dismantled several s8s. Their not really hard. But you most def need the right stuff to do it.
Thank you for the answers, gentlemen.
I will try that and see what happens.
