I have an S8 G950F running DBT pie, I have successfully switched on OEM Unlock, but when I enter download mode I still see RMM state renormal.
Can I still root in this situation? If no, how do I go about removing RMM prenormal.

Have a read through this thread. Also in the first post very top is a link to an updated issue ( in the same thread last page )
Since pie.is not released in my region yet I ended up having to flash UK firmware to test the pie beta updates. I did not have any trouble with installing TWRP,Root or Xposed. All with no issues.
But read this thread first before proceeding.

So, my friend gave me his S6 Edge+ today and told me that he's stuck with the Google FRP. I tried downgrading to 6.0.1 as I did with my S7. Yet though his S6 seemed to be on the latest update from Samsung (Nougat+Security Patch).
Now when I try to flash via Odin, the phone gives me a "system rev. check fail device 1 binary 0" error and I have to reflash the latest Firmware.
What can I do?
Help would be apreciated.
This error is because you are trying to downgrade you need to flash latest firmware to fix your issue

I don't know how to bypass the Google FRP. I flashed the latest firmware already.
tell your friend to give the Google account password. The method to bypass frp is profit not allowed to be written here as it violates terms I think.

Can't find any advice about which to do first.
I thought to get Oreo first but I've read there is an issue with 7 day OEM lock that Samsung added since the note 8.
Any pros and cons that you can share?

The UK 950FD that arrived yesterday for me has OEM unlock available. With the usual dire warnings if you enable it, knox and security issues etc.

Update to oreo then root. If you root first you will lose root when you update
I have a frp locked s6 edge+ that is updated to the latest version of android 7, and have tried to downgrade also to no avail.
So currently I'm looking for combiantion ROMs but the ones i have found are of "Binary U4" and have yet to find for U5.
Please link if you have any source for Binary U5 ROM or any info regarding how to unlock frp for the lastest version of android 7
(august 2018 update) or any way to downgrade to older versions.

Sammobile will have your firmware. You want stock firmware that matches your carrier. Then you use Odin to flash the stock image. You might also try recovery via smart switch, if it works it downloads the right firmware for you.

I have the stock firmware already, I'm looking to bypass the FRP lock that on it. As i have mentioned on the post I'm looking for the combination ROM for Binary 5.

I actually work at a shop that does mobile resale so I actually bought the device at a lower price thinking that I will be able to unlock it and then sell it. But still no luck.

Hi,as you i was looking for combination file 928F binary 5. It doesn t exist
Just need 4 apps .as new member i can t join an url
So if you need you type google addrom bypass s6 on YouTube
Frp android7 app wich is google account manager
Frp addrom apk
Apex launcher apk
HushSMS apk
That s it. Nothing more but it s very important to watch the video under the apps to proceed the bypass. If you follow exactly you will bypass your google account in less than 15 min

KG-State is not shown anymore.
Means that im in "Jail" and had to wait those 168 hours before flashing TWRP etc? Or it's a new Samsung Thing?

Can't say for sure if your kgstate is missing that it's turned off/disabled as this is a new issue.
In your post from 2 days ago from this thread look back about 9 posts the OP has some updated news regarding this.

As for the OEM lock you can wait for it to show up or try the date method ( or variations of it ) to get the option in developer menu. Note: Rebooting your phone resets your up time.
If you do try it I would recommend downloading your firmware first if you come across the official binary error you can re-flash and start from scratch again.
Just for reference on my S8 I flashed UK (BTU) firmware and updated to pie beta and had TWRP and root in about 5 min.

One small problem, its got the latest A12 version (March 1st 2022 security patch).
I have already picked out an A11 version with a matching bootloader binary (G975FXXSEFUL1) and installed Odin onto my computer (usb debugging is also enabled).
Links to guides and other forum posts are appreciated.
(I apologize if this has been asked before, I haven't found out how to search specific sup-sections of this forum (if even possible).)

If the bootloader is unlocked, it should be fairly trivial to flash an older ROM using Odin.

Use the Search function. Google is also your friend. I haven't been in the Samsung game for quite some time.
Be aware that unlocking the bootloader is often impossible on Exynos devices.

So I followed a guide and it told me to enable the OEM unlock function in the dev settings.
so is it unlocked now?
or does that just allow me to unlock it?

when flashing with odin do I need userdata?
Ive done some digging and apparently userdata is used for phone carriers to brand the phones they give out?
Ok it was pretty simple, userdata isnt needed.
